I ran into this: I configured the Dahua NVR via a HDMI cable. Connected and configured all ip cams in the NVR, even the Hikvision camera was found using this instruction video ;). But, when I moved both NVR and cams to their final operation location and reconnected all cam's to the NVR (POE) I was not able to get the Hikvision cam to work. I took me a while but I found that: Whenever the HikVision camera has lost power for a while, the Dahua nvr cannot connect using the HikVision defined ONVIF user. Removing the user on the HikVirison camera and recreate it (or another account) fixes the issue. Still, compatibility between these brands is not that great. Dahua Technology NVR4104-P-4KS2 + HikVISION DS-2CD2185FWD-I(S)
So Dahua says I need to go into the camera via IP address and change some settings( Enable Hikvision-cvi, Set, "Hikvision-CGI Authentication" to, "digest/basic", Set, "RTSP Authentication" and "WEB Authentication" to, "digest/basic"). Why were you able to connect the camera without doing these?
Because Dahua is instructing you to settings so that they can look at your cameras and hack into your home network to see what you are up too and steal what they can from you?
Hello I have a Dahua POE NVR, I am connecting it it a HIKVISION POE camera. The NVR is failing to power it up. If I connect the power plug to the camera, than it will work. Do you know why the NVR is not powering up the camera?
This procedure only for Hikvision Configuration or it's for all cameras, what I meant is shall we use SADP for ALL TYPES of cameras for the configurations?
Login time is up means you’re almost there...the nvr is looking for your password for your camera. Go the the camera screen in the nvr, click on the edit icon for that camera and enter the proper password. Give it a few seconds it will go green. If you see locked out, it will take a minute or two. After a few minutes if you still see locked out, reboot the camera
Jose luis Castro Querevalu Having installed hundreds of Dahua and FLIR nvrs here’s what I know...if you’re plugging in directly into the nvr Poe port make the camera dhcp, allowing the nvr to assign the IP address. If you’re using a Poe switch connected to your router, set the camera for static. We pick a range and build from there. Also. We found it helpful to sharpie on the bottom of the camera to mark it with a s for static and the last digits of the ip, ie: .130 for example The only thing we continue to have problems with is a Dahua camera to a FLIR recorder and the time stamp within the camera. Some wander and we can’t figure out why. So if anyone knows please do tell

Nice share video guys!! Thnx
great, thanks
why do you put that IP? 10.1.1.65
It's what Dahua uses on its internal network of the NVR...it uses 10.1.1.65 / 66 / 67 / 68 ect....
