Thanks for solving my problem! I don't even have a Dahua (I have Backstreet Surveillance brand) and tried your fix, sure enough it worked. Thanks again for posting.
Great, simple, easy to understand video. Thanks for posting. One question. All of my gear is Hikvision and I am considering the addition of a Dahua PTZ. My configuration is Cameras>NVR (for recording)>PC(IVMS-4200). I don't use a switch or router. Would I still be able to use all of the PTZ functions of the camera with IVMS-4200?
you'll get access to most essential functions :) moving and zooming . don't forget to change protocol from dahua ptz to pepcol if you want this to work :)
could not get that Ip adressed changed after modifying. Admin Admin in configuration is a weak password and will not accept at initialization. Im assuming this is an older version
Default the camera by pushing the reset button on it for 30 seconds while it's powered up and that will reset the Username and Password to admin, admin and the IP address will defaulted to 192.168.1.108
Finally someone has nailed this. Great job with the explanation. I've been trying to connect a Dahua camera to hikvision NVR. Did all ,that you explained, but when I connect the Dahua to the NVR still no picture. There is an orange triangle with an exclamation at the status. What could be the problem? adding method manual , IP address changed 192.168.254.10 , Onvif changed , management port 80, Channel port 1 , password correct, I rebooted the NVR still nothing. If I enter into the camera settings in config tool, I can see that there is a picture on the camera etc.
@@DIYELEKTRONICKITS The hikvision NVR internal default IP address was the 192.168.254.1 . After this the Cameras got 192.168.254.4 etc. The address that The internet provider gives me is a different network. I ordered a Dahua NVR to change the HIK, because it has the 265 compression and the Dahua cameras are as good as hikvision in my eyes. And cheaper. So when that arrives I will try to hook up all the cameras again.
Thanks for sharing this video. I spent hours trying to get my Dahua to work with my IVMS 4200. Your solution worked perfectly.
Bloody champion!!! Great video mate. Very easy to follow. Cheers

The IP in the video is only for demonstration,,, your Hikvision will get its IP from your internet provider and may be different from mine
