In this video we learn a What supports are ACTUALLY supposed to do in league of legends.. Challenger LoL Coaching where we see COMPLETE Support Beginner's Guide - League of Legends Season 12 where we look at The Difference Between GOOD and BAD Supports - League of Legends where we How to Play EVERY Support Matchup in Season 12 - League of Legends learning How to CLIMB EACH RANK & ESCAPE YOUR ELO as Suppor - Ігри
As Supp, I always try to balance the team and look what mid pick. If mid pick melee/assassin I'll pick enchanter and if they pick mage/range I'll pick tank
But yeah make sure to pick the champs you can play, not just pick for the sake of balancing the team
Yeah if your champ pool covers many different roles that’s awesome you can choose a pick to compliment your team!
wish I could do that but my champ pool has only 2 enchanters. would love to pick a tank sometimes but im gonna int so mad hahaha
It's so relaxing to play Sona cuz it's not just her soothing vibes it's also the fact that it doesn't matter how many times I died, as long as we can hold out I will scale inevitably and supports specially enchanters never lose value :>
Yeah there is something super chill about her being like, as long as I’m getting exp everything is chill!
when i play sona i get a blitzcrank on the enemy team he hooks me 15 times and the game is over before we can even ff 💀 but im bad at dodging his grab i gotta admit
you arent bad, Sona is uneplayable agains hooks, I never blindpick her for that reason, they allways conterpick@@Miss_Akashiya
short. on the point. exaclty what i needed. played for so long but now finally i understood the core of the role its so simple once you understood. i had a 3year league break. I watched this video . Queued up. remembered everything and focused on nothing else except what ive learned here - I played 4 games - I WON 4 games. all of them were good i got honors, I influenced the game a lot. GG
fuck these 20 minutes guides as long as youre gold or lower this shi is ALL you need
thank you so much. you the first one that broke down support role easy enough for my brain so that I understood it after so many years of league. there is so many little details in league that always overwhelmed me i always put the focus on a lot wrong tiny things. that guide helped me come to the core of the role.
Cheers pal this is incredibly kind of you to say! Hopefully it's good fun getting back into the game!
the best CC is death
-every bully support main
Haha exactly 😂
Great guide as always. TBH, for me the best part of playing support is not pressuring myself to get a higher farm score than my opponents. LOL!
Haha I do always enjoy getting to focus on bullying rather than having to farm 😂
a question about that, does a support simply not farm? am I supposed to have 0 farm? i started playing recently and want to try support but am afraid I might piss the adc by doing something I shouldnt
@@lennosan2552 It depends on the support item you'll get.
If you play a tanky support, you'll get Relic Shield or Steel Shoulderguard, that item gives 3 charges. It allows you to farm while sharing the resources with your carry.
If you pick poke supports, you usually get Spelltheif's Edge or Spectral Sickle. If you have this you don't have to farm since you'll get bonus points by attacking enemy champions.
But all support items have a 1000 cap as bonus gold, once you reach that, supports are still not expected to farm. You can still get gold from the periodic gold bonus, take downs and taking objectives.
Correct me if I get anything wrong. Hehehe.
@@francisfalgui9292 thanks man, that was very clarifying!
@@lennosan2552 No worries. Glad I could help!
Not bad for a new player, but I feel it's missing some key pieces of information:
Supports must be able to be useful on a low budget, since under normal circumstances they will always make less gold than their allies. This means abilities which scale well off of level, but not off of items (such as CC abilities, abilities with high base damage, and utility buffs) dictate whether or not something makes a good support, alongside the question: if an assassin is coming for your ADC, do you have an answer? Most ADCs can't save themselves, so the support needs to have a form of reliable counterengage. Lastly, the support needs to be able to perform well in the bot lane, which usually requires either long range, strong defensives, or a great deal of mobility. Pantheon and Pyke are two great examples of champions which do not fit into any of the classes listed, but still perform well in the bot lane because they can avoid being locked down and bursted.
Yeah definitely could have gone over other things but the limitations of 3 minutes eh! Although I would definitely say don’t pick champions that scale with levels, any support that’s leeching experience after level 6 is a bit of a liability! And remember with the support items the first few thousand gold for the support is hyper accelerated so actually champions that do well with 1/2 items are actually incredibly viable!
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends True! Yeah, those are both good points. It's more about the support scaling well with the first several levels (ie. impactful with rank 5 in one skill due to CC duration and/or base damage/healing and their ult) and performing well with one or two items, since they actually have decent income until their support item dries up.
But, yeah, I think you did well with the 3 minute limitation! I do wish it was easier to find information on what precisely allows a champion to perform well in the support role and how to identify what your team needs and how it should affect your itemization. But I recognize it's probably not possible in 3 minutes, especially not along with everything else. :P
@@MrAwesomeTheAwesome Ah yeah those are good points! And honestly that's a great idea for a separate video more the theory of each lane rather than how to play each lane!
I got S+ first try thank you!
That’s awesome pal great job!
support is my least played role, but whenever i do play as support - in quickmatch or because i have to in ranked, all i hear is flame comments from the botlaner when it comes to stealing kills. yes i do understand that the kill reward gold is better used for the adc, but those people rather flame than be glad that we won a trade in lane or that i saved the adc butt from the opponent...
sometimes the game is weird.
The game is weird 😂 every time I hear someone complain about kill steals it just shows that they don’t understand how winning in League actually works 😂
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends but the adc needs all 6 items within the first 15 minutes kappa
i just came up with an idea - since your videos are only 3 minute long, how would you like it, to make a video about the most common league statements made by players (like mentioned above, adc complaining about support kill stealing, jungler gettin accused of not ganking because the laner is failing, people voting to surrender for no reason etc) i think, not only could it clear up a few mistakes but also spice up the content a little bit
Yeah, I was pretty much half health and my adc was literally one fucking hit from dying and the enemy was also one hit so I went in helped and killed the enemy with ease, they then proceeded to flame in chat and I’m not gonna lie I didn’t go back bot the rest of that game and they died so much idec. We still won, I just supported top and helped jungle complete objectives faster and also helped mid. Sometimes, when someone doesn’t appreciate your help then they don’t deserve it.
I learned very quickly to mute chat in pretty much all games now.
Although I play supp rarely (autofill), I'd like to try something tanky with a pull and easy to pick up if possible. Any recommendations? For now, i pick every single time Brand and they definitely underestimate the damage until the first triple 😂 The amount of S I've gotten compared to how little I've played the champ is nuts!
Nautilus is always a great easy support if you want engage! Basically all his abilities Cc and opponent and even if you’re 0/20 you can just press R on the enemy carry!
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends Thank you! I'll give him a try :)
roaming is what differentiates a good and a bad support oftentimes
So often! Always pretty fun watching lower elos games and the support will still be bot at 10 minutes and I’m like, that looks like a boring way to play 😂
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends I think during the landing phase you’re gonna stay with your adc bot, but mid-late game you definitely want to start roaming when necessary.
This needs to be updated :D
Yes honestly I kinda forgot about these videos! This would be good to update!
thanks. for your guides. ive been playing on and off but not enough to get better. im more better at wild rift
Of course pal, stick with it, it does get easier especially if you’re playing with friends!
also you could ward the side bush, so top can tp down
You can indeed but usually by 14 minutes you’d want your bot lane in the mid lane!
can you do classes/sub classes next
i say this so it can be more easily applied to arams
This is an interesting idea! Are you thinking like tanks/fighters/mages etc when you’re talking about classes?
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends yes and also go into the sub classes of the different classes
Class Subclass
Tanks Vanguards(engage(ornn)), Wardens(peel(braum))
Fighters Juggernauts (low or no mobility bruisers(sett darius)), Divers (bruiser with mobility(irelia)
Slayers Assassins(zed), Skirmishers(assassins that are like duelists(pantheon yasuo)
Mages Burst Mages(ap assassins (leblanc), Battle Mages(i think anything from an ap bruiser to an ap adc(vlad gwen azir), Artillery Mages(long range poke(ziggs)
Controllers Enchanters(heal/shield), Disruptors (i think this 1 means champs that have zone control or the ability to pick like morgana or zyra)
Marksmen Marksmen ya we need some scientists to figure out this one
mordakiser counts as a battle mage and a juggernaut
hope this gives an idea of what i mean
"The Bully" is arguably the worst type of Support. There is almost never a scenario where I want "The Bully" archetype as the Support on my team.
Everytime i play vel'koz i end up out damaging my adc and they flame me for getting kills
Haha every time some complains about kill stealing all it says to me is they don’t understand the game well - with VelKoz if you can your your Ludens early as an adc I would be like absolutely take the kills! Carry me with your amazing power spike!
I am watching this as I am autofilled in solo q
Hope it went well!
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends After that game we played clash and won
sorry lol noob here. do all support get auto gold?
Yes! All champs in the game get some gold over time and the support item grants even more!
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends okayy thanks for replying
what's a control ward?
One of the pink wards you can buy!
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends Mine is a dragon
Would fiddlesticks be a bully
Yeah this ^^ he’s too short range to be a bully, true bully’s will out range and tanks will get easy engages on you - the reason you’d pick Fiddle Support is to hard survive lane so you can use your ultimate in team fights later!
Is Seraphine an Enchanter or a Bully?
She is definitely an enchanted and she can definitely be played as a bully into many match ups!
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends okay thanks a lot
Honestly, i love you for not asuming that the support has to always blow the penis of his adc. I hate the guides that are like "YeAh pRoteCt aDc", as a support main (lately playing other roles to get a break from this pain role) i learnt quite quick that adcs are usually mentally unstable. It's amazing being able to roam to help people, and it's so satisfactory not helping the parasites of your teammates that only cry and be toxic.
Yeah I’ve definitely met those ADCs before who need babysitting the entire time while the support is just missing tons of opportunities!
@@3MinuteLeagueofLegends this was my first video of your channel and i already felt good vibes, someone that understands support and he's not like "it's an easy role" cus you don't farm or kill.
What other role demands you to play the others before? maybe jgl a bit.. but even without it you can do decent
Also it surprises me you gave a reply lol
