I did however become interested in this vehicle when I had one following me and recognized the orgasmic level of road presence this car has. I was impressed. ShoryukenDatAzz guys STOP COMPARING FOREIGN CARS TOO AMERICAN CARS!!! Nobody can get the feeling of driving a rear wheel drive Cadillac other than REAR WHEEL DRIVE CADILLAC if you cross shop a CT6 with a Genesis... you have obviously never driven a CT6!!!
I hate when reviewers say this isn't a full size vehicle or it straddles the line between e class and s class. It is 2 inches shorter than an S class and is longer than my 2013 bmw 750i which no one would say is a mid size vehicle. I believe it is 8 inches longer than an e class and 5 series. That being said Cadillac did cheap out on a few details like manual rear shades... Anyway its a great beautiful car for the money and the ride quality is actually fantastic. Very comparable to my beamer. I have the alpina so my car is much faster, Cadillac really needs to put a twin turbo v8 in this thing along with soft close doors, and adjustable ambient lighting
realgeez2011 the TT V8 is here. I agree the car could use ambient lighting however soft close doors are a stupid costly option that I just don’t get the point of at all.
I don't know why some people keep saying the CT6 is not a full size or compare it to mid size Germans, it is longer and wider than the Lexus LS and only 2 inches shorter than the S-Class and 7 series

Driving a loaded CT6 right now. Its a cool car. I love how the drivers position is so versatile. You can set the seat on the floor if you want. Wouldn't recommend, she rides a little.....rigid ya. Fast though.
The Cadillac sedans have all been driver focused with extremely good handling. The CT6 has a Tesla-like giga cast for the front strut tower areas so the steering input is as good as it come in large lux sedan segment. None one will match the lightness in the segment.
@@keithbowers5255 I would have considered a Conty if they offered PHEV version. I need better fuel economy and the 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in was the right choice getting over 100 miles per gallon and 2,000 miles per tankful. Plus the Lincoln sedans are FWD based and RWD like Cadillac.

The auto journalist just got the description of this car just wrong. Cadillac is pricing it as a midsize, you are correct with this is a full sized D segment vehicle.
I’ve no idea why this just showed in my suggested list, but there are so many inaccuracies, I hope no one listened to this back in 2017. Example? The digital mirror works perfectly at night.
I don't used the rear view camera at night. Just see glaring lights. The wide angle works good during the day especially when there three in the back seat blocking rear vision.
Nice review again Zach.... that pedestrian warning kicking in TWICE with no pedestrians in sight...would have that flatbedded to the dealer extremely fast...amongst other items I’m sure !! It’s a caddy...when you step on it...I want to hear raw power... not tinny turbo whine.
The pedestrian detection system does more harm than good. Imagine someone driving behind you not really paying attention when your car decides to floor the brakes because it saw a street sign and a tree.
ast5515 Then you sue GM. If an old lady who sued McDonalds for not putting "warning: hot contents" on their coffee cups can walk home with over 500,000 in her pocket, imagine what you could get out of this situation.
I think you need to take a second look at the old lady and McDonalds, it isn't what you think it is. But yes, sue GM for a system that isn't quite fleshed out and unsafe. These things should be tested more thoroughly.
I don't know why Cadillac even offered the 4 cylinder turbo. They should have only offered the two different v-6's. You can only get so much refinement from a 4 cylinder.
Drives like a dream - agile, quick, amazing brakes, smooth and incredibly quiet - even at highway speeds. The 4 cylinder turbo version is virtually as quick as the standard 6 cylinder model. How ever, comparing it to the competition depending on what they are; I was disappointed by the low resolution rear view camera, Very noisy engine that sounds like a minivan and not so great fit and finish of the interior relative to the sticker price. Bottom line if anyone opts for the nicer iterations of the car (Twin turbo V6); they will cost in the 80k range; A much more equipped BMW 740i (extended wheelbase here in the US) with a more refined twin turbo v6 engine that has much better ride quality, handling and most importantly rear leg room would cost about the same. Perhaps few thousand dollars more. I think Cadillac as a brand is still CONFUSED. I cannot understand why do they insist on playing this game of designing cars that are not exactly mid size and at the same time not full size either. I don't think this car will end up selling much as long as that confusion exists. By the way, they still have XTS is their line up which is practically has the same interior size which is another confirmation on the confusion that is so serious in Cadillac philosophy.
The 3.6TT V6 in our old 2014 XTS Vsport had a little lope to it. I adjusted the timing at idle and it helped. But with a ECU tune the LF3 could easily handle 600 lb-ft of torque and would spin the front tires at 50 mph!
Great car in so many ways. But if I want European dynamics, I'll buy a BMW or Mercedes. The XTS is way more Cadillac, and way less trying to be something else.
The 2016. 17 and 2018 CT6 is an entry level luxury car cursed with a crude transmission. Just cant see why anyone would want the turbo 4. I mean the mpg savings are minor in my opinion. I've driven both and the difference is DRAMATIC. The 4 cylinder feels soooooo underpowered, it literally feels like you might break something when trying to jockey for position entering an on ramp.
We have the 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in PHEV and regularly see 40 mpg after the battery is used up. I'm seeing over 100 mpg and about 2,000 miles on a tank of gas. That beats everything from Toyota today!
Beautiful and Good car even can beat E-class,of course will popular in China market, why in U.S. people like Japanese car? And I was checked Toyota and Honda price are not cheaper and they always use cheapest parts and very low technology to produce ,why? because they said 1000000000 mileages no need change oil? or can fly?

Just cant see why anyone would want the turbo 4. I mean the mpg savings are minor in my opinion. I've driven both and the difference is DRAMATIC. The 4 cylinder feels soooooo underpowered, it literally feels like you might break something when trying to jockey for position entering an on ramp.
We have the 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in PHEV and regularly see 40 mpg after the battery is used up. I'm seeing over 100 mpg and about 2,000 miles on a tank of gas. That beats everything from Toyota today!
wait 10 speakers? thats the panaray with 34 speakers
The pedestrian detection auto-braking system is crap and intrusive.
Turn it off then
I would never, NEVER, buy a car that panic braked to a stop on its own. Screw that! Sounds like a good way to CAUSE an accident.
Feature can be turned off through the touch panel settings. What do you think about that ?
Beautiful and Good car even can beat E-class,of course will popular in China market, why in U.S. people like Japanese car? And I was checked Toyota and Honda price are not cheaper and they always use cheapest parts and very low
technology to produce ,why? because they said 1000000000 mileages no need change oil? or can fly?
Sadly & luckily
Cadillac has become the sexiest used car to own that will work for your budget..your style...and hummm?...at least youll still drop jaws at a wedding reception and go thru traffic lights if you lead a motorcade of 2 more caddies depending on the color lmao
