    You have to be the only person on this planet that ever thought 8 QBs were better than Derek Carr. Taj Boyd's mama knows that Taj Boyd aint better than Derek Carr.

    • @TrueToFootball
      @TrueToFootball  10 років тому

      True the only person I'd rank different now is Boyd....don't really know why I haven't seen the key aspects that make his game fail earlier but every other QB I'd still rank above him....most of them just haven't had a chance yet. Carr played above his expectations and is on the same level with Bortles right now but still it's way to early and btw the Raiders haven't won a game yet....QB takes the blame 2nd to the coach and being hurt doesn't make things better

    • @tyronedavis8459

      TrueToFootball You're right. When you have the worst defense, and receivers that cant get open or catch, it does still fall on the QB when you lose. And I still stick to what I said, which is you are the only person (pros included) that said Carr is the 9th best QB (adjusted to 8th best because of Boyd). I actually admire the fact that you're sticking by that. And btw, if the QB holds the blame, Bortles has 1 win compared to zero, to go along with his 5 TDs and 12 picks, including 4 pick sixes...

      @TrueToFootball  10 років тому

      Tyrone Davis Thats why I said both are on the same level to me right now...bottom line yes because the QB has the most impact on the outcome of the game. Carr is doing his best and definitely better than we expected but still not good enough to get things done in Oakland and it won't get any easier this week for sure

    I agree Jimmy's is one to watch out for. This kid has what it takes to make it, good work ethic, great head on his shoulders and a great arm. 5000+ passing yards, 50+ touchdowns, with only 9 interceptions, I believe 110 total touchdowns thrown and a total of over 13,000 yards passing while at EIU. This guy is going to do well in the NFL.

    To think, a couple of these players have earned the starting nod or have played games. In Order
    1. Bridgewater- Starter
    2. Manziel- played but has too many off field issues to have a starting job
    3. Bortles- Starter
    4. Fales- pretty sure he's behind 2 QB's in Chicago
    5. McCaron- started a few games and proved he could start when needed
    6. Boyd- Haven't heard anything about him
    7. Shaw- started a game for browns, since he's been the backup on the practice squad
    8. Guiton- Played in the AFL, don't know if he's still there but he did start somewhere
    9. Carr- Starter
    10. Garappolo- Future Starter somewhere
    11. Smith- CFL
    12. Mettenburger- had his chances, never took advantage of them
    13. Murray- Backup to Alex Smith I believe
    14. Lynch- CFL

      +Donny Plankenhorn Great look back at the prospects....I admit one of my biggest mistakes from that years draft class if not the biggest was underestimating Carr...other than that I was pretty much on point if Manziel gets his party ass to the practise field and starts to play up to his expectations....I think theres still a chance he does but I doubt it!

    • @PridedLeader93Gaming
      @PridedLeader93Gaming 8 років тому

      Manziel has shown flashes, he can play there's no question, it's like you said stop partying and practice, all he has to do is that

    Derek Carr should go up from 9 to the best QB in the 2014 draft he is leading the Raider offense he is so much better than Bridgewater and Manziel it's so unreal

  • @mikemcbride5047
    @mikemcbride5047 10 років тому +1

    And only reason johnny manziel tried to do too much last year was bcuz his defense was awful so he had to put up 50 points a game to win

    Good video overall, but after watching Georgia football the last 4 years, I can't say I agree with your assessment of Aaron Murray. He's the most prolific passer in SEC history, VERY consistent throughout his time here, and his senior tape is some of the best I've seen. His height and injury are the only things imo that will keep him in that draft range, not because of his ability though

    • @TrueToFootball
      @TrueToFootball  10 років тому

      My problem with him is that he doesn't look good under pressure mostly.
      Inconsistent not overall but thoughout a game I mean. I think the great early start with Green and Orson Charles which both were gone his JR year hurt him. There definitely was a drop in production which you don't have to blame on him but still...gotta ask yourself is it the QB who makes the others look good or the other way around.
      Hes good yeah thats why I put him in this video but there are many many other talented QBs this year so I had to put him pretty low.
      I think the media gives him about a 5th-6th round grade right now so I am pretty high right ;) ?

    • @sethrollinsfan7201
      @sethrollinsfan7201 10 років тому

      I think Murray is a third round QB ........ reminds me a lot of Matt Ryan......... He has the same problems as AJ Mccaron....... I would take him before Mccaron if it wasn't for the injury, but he can be a steal shown that he's a capable quarterback

    Totally agree bridgewater is number one to IMO . His quick release , accuracy and pocket awareness / mobility is impressive . I'm not sure I'd spend a top 5 pick on him or even spend a top 10 pick on any QB this year but still Teddy looks solid .

    • @TrueToFootball
      @TrueToFootball  10 років тому

      More than just solid IMO, also these teams think QB over everything in the Top10 which usually are teams that suck because they don't have a quality QB.
      So I think you will never have, and probably never had a draft without a top10 QB pick.

      All the highlights in this video shows that his WR's need to make plays to catch some of his wild passes. His accuracy is very, very overrated.

    Great video you highlighted all the right quarterbacks but in a God awful order. That's not even close!

    • @TrueToFootball
      @TrueToFootball  10 років тому

      There is no right or wrong, definitely not at this time. What would you have said 2012 when I ranked Russel Wilson as #4 Qb behind Luck, RG3 an Weeden and gave him a early 2nd round grade. Wrong....at that time maybe but 2 years later definitely sounds good to me

    • @SaxonCummins

      I'm a big college football fan and Fresno State fan and obviously feel you placement is fan under rating his caliber as well as others in your rankings. I also agree that down the road things can change but watching many of the quarterbacks this season I just felt that the order wasn't close to what their true potential is. The one thing no one can rate is heart.

    I hated that you ranked Bridgewater and Manziel over my boy Bortles. I was telling people months before the draft that'd he'd go higher than both. And he was the most pro ready of the class. He is also the smartest, strongest arm, and pocket awareness. Other than that, great list

    • @TrueToFootball
      @TrueToFootball  10 років тому

      Bridgewater is still the better QB IMO and time will tell Bridewater is a franchise QB....Bortles is not far off but still Bridgewater is better....Manziel on the other side diden't get any playing time because they take it slow on him which actually is a great idea

      I think unfortunately only as early as next week.
      Last week I took a course for my Amercian Football Coaching C-licence, the D-licence is what I allready got and for the C it takes four 1-week courses spreaded over months.
      Couldn't do anything for my vids last week, but that changes today since I am back now ;)

    2013 draft EJ Manuel only first round QB taken . 16th pick , no QB in top 10 is very possible .

    • @TrueToFootball
      @TrueToFootball  10 років тому

      LOL was thinking to far back, I remember only 00 when no QB was taken in round 1 besides pennington by the Jets at 15 or so after having back to back years where all top 3 picks were QBs. that was a story I remeber but honestly I just completly forgot about last year LOL....again LOL my bad
      Still good point, its very rare tho

    When you made this, did you think that just every QB in the draft gets picked up and that every team needs a new QB? And that they would really go that high?.....all
    of them?

    Aaron Murray struggles under pressure? He brought his team from down 17 to take the lead at Auburn, only for the defense to blow it.

  • @joshpraigg1397
    @joshpraigg1397 9 років тому

    You must really hate UGA players, you ranked Aaron Murray below both AJ McCarron and Mettenberger? I'm sure if Aaron Murray was able to throw to Amari Cooper and OBJ, he would have been even better. And in this years ranking you ranked Todd Gurley below everyone else when everyone else was ranking him as possibly the best RB in the draft. He had only 1 time consuming injury at UGA. Players constantly have ACL surgery and come back to become beasts (AP).

    Manziel has no pocket awareness

    • @TrueToFootball
      @TrueToFootball  10 років тому

      Thats what the most people think but when you take a closer look you'll see he actually can stay in the pocket, he has designed sprint outs to give the WRs more time and also he got his OLine blocking lanes for that. Why should you Oline block for sb like him the same than for a peyton manning. Thats why Texas A&M OLine-men a slighty overrated these days...
      To sum it up its the bad habit to choose the runing lane more often than he should...thats his ego. We'll see if the Browns can change that

      I find it ironic that you scoff at Brett Smith yet your profile pic is RGIII. In my opinion, they're very similar QBs and had similar production rates throughout college. Only difference, one was playing for Baylor with a much more talented team to back him up and the other played for Wyoming. You do the math.
