What were your Blackmagic settings BRAW or Prores and what quality level?

I always shoot in BRaw, usually at 8:1 ratio. I'll do 3:1 if I'm doing VFX shots that require keying for safety but I find 8:1 is still great all around.

@@1109films thank you so much. I’m just trying to find a good balanced mode of shooting. I’m looking to film a horror short in low lighting and every time I try to shoot in Q0 my SSD can’t handle it but all other modes seem fine. I just want to get the best quality without having to eat up large amounts of data on my SSD.

@@doomedthunder6638 No worries! My key to success in shooting low light is to stay around 400ISO and expose my lighting to that base for the cleanest shadows. I don't personally notice that large of a difference from shooting 8:1 to 3:1 in terms of quality, especially if I'm grading it a little darker and adding grain. I wouldn't worry about shooting Q0, UA-cam is going to heavily compress the upload in the end.

@@1109films I’m just thinking about entering a film festival at some point in the future. As long as the quality of the footage looks good in low light.
