2008 Range Rover How to cut key duplicate & clone programming w/ Key Tool Max / Land Rover / Lonsdor

Cut the key blade using Xhorse Condor XP-005 cutting machine
THe book was calling for Hu101 key blade but the actual Key blade i used is HU-92. So be careful and double check everything (physically) what key blade its needed
I was going to program it with Lonsdor programmer but it failled couple times. I eneded up making a Xhorse flip key and clone the chip with Key tool Max

I was changing the cover and my key doesn’t work now I think I broke the battery area circuit board and my car is locked and alarm is on 2010 lr2 Land Rover
I ordered 2 keys from Amazon looking at foxwelk nxt510 to program keys I saw video on UA-cam or call locksmith and advice ?

I’m sorry to hear that. I don’t have a foxwell so I can’t really speak for it. Not all programmer can program all the cars . Depends on what’s it capable of. I use APP and lonsdor specially for this kind of car.

Yes it is , I got it from American key supply but I believe Uhs has it too

What about remote? Does it work on clone key?

I didn’t bother to program the remote because the car has problem with the locks mechanically . Once that’s situated, I will program the remote part

Hey so you were unable to program the key with the scan tool so all you had to was to copy the original key information onto the xhorse key? And it worked?

Yes, I tried lonsdor and APP to program the key and didn’t work. But cloning it with Key Tool max works

@@nicholashenry5015 when cloning , you don’t need to generate the chip. Go straight clone.
You only generate the chip transponder if you’re programming it using a programmer

@@nicholashenry5015 I am not sure if it’s possible . I haven’t done it. If there’s an special function in key tool max that I missed (maybe )
But normally just generate it ( if it’s available) then program it. Most smart prox are easy to program

Try having the battery in the key fob changed. Most times it’s a dead or dying battery.
