This is actually accurate to a degree. Back in the late 1800s There was a motor attachment Prototyped to power a Gatling but it didn't get off the ground that much.
That means Far Harbor DLC is required as that’s the only area that sells .45-70. However, it’s quite easy to get as multiple vendors there sell it.
Or you could spawn it with a menu
There is the ammo mod I forget the name of that’ll let you add a bunch of new lore friendly ammo types to the leveled list including 45-70

Better have a +20% damage bonus, 20% damage resistance when below 50% health and spun up, 50% slower spin up time, and -60% slower move speed while deployed
Gatling guns down have a spinup time. Only modern electronically fire gatlings and miniguns have to spinup.

It fits almost perfectly with the minutemen with its look. A mod for a civil war uniform, maybe a union calvary one with the hat with the crossed sabers, would fit perfectly with it imo or maybe the western calvary uniform from the 1870s and 1880s would fit better, either would be great with it.

Mods like this that use the best of vanilla assets are awesome. Looks amazing, lore friendly, a priveledge for those who don't play or enjoy multiplayer FO and takes the least amount of mod space as opposed to the larger file retextures/weapons.
I'm actually thinking about giving F76 another try. The last time I played, I enjoyed it but ran into a fatal bug.

I don’t think many people realize how heavy Gatling guns are. Two people can barely hold one if they each grab an end, and that’s just the empty gun.
That really depends on the people, but I get your point. For practical purposes, I prefer light weapons, like the P90 or AUG.
Actually depending on the model so long as it’s 308 or smaller a singular person can carry one slung over their shoulder or hanging low with a shoulder strap. The issue is the recoil. All that force coming out so fast makes it like trying to hold onto a jet engine. There is one company who made a 556 mini gun with a super stubby barrel that can be hip fired by a person but is more there to prove a point than actually be practical. Which is the real biggest issue with miniguns, practicality. You expose yourself too much for how you’d need to hold one to fire it and how the hell are you gonna carry enough ammo to be combat effective? You also don’t need to be dumping that many rounds in infantry engagements as compared to vehicles and aircraft that can make high speed strafing runs with them or defense systems trying to shoot down high speed targets.

I’ve had to help carry them, and the 45 Long Colts can weigh about 150-180 pounds when empty and off their carriages.

The mod is fairly mixed. If you're limited on space, I would suggest opting for something a little more polished and less gimmicky.

It has been mentioned a couple times. Gimmicky nonsense, that it is.
Part of the reason I preferences the Gatling laser over the minigun for heavy weapons.
When you can only have so much ammo, doing less damage then a pistol is absolutely pointless...
I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain that the Capital Wasteland Minigun mod changes the damage output because I've been wrecking everything that crosses my path since acquiring it.

It's always filled me with rage that the minigun in fallout 4 heats up to red almost instantly. The entire fucking point of having multiple barrels is so they WON'T over heat. But then again, Bethesda doesn't know a fucking thing about guns

Still think some weapons should be power armor only in the fallout games, including 76. Weapon mod's this giant would be perfect for power armor only things.
The inverse would be good also. Many weapons shouldn't be usuable while in power arm.
I ain't tryna be pedantic cause it ain't even this guys fault, but why does it do LESS damage because it uses 45-70 instead of 5mm. 45-70 is almost 12mm. A bunch of mods do this, and it's just a weird trend..
The weapon should do 3x the damage of the vanilla minigun. If that isn't the case for you, make a report on the mod page.
@@Mr.outsideModsHe just got a little confused by your terminology. He misunderstood dwarfing the miniguns damage output as in the damage output of this gatling gun being lower than the minigun.

Remeber when dlcs uses to be completely unique , no old assets because it was dlc , and the animations were unique sounds were unique , now literally is just "skins" over everything and saying oh its "rare" etc
