The Academy in Bristol is just about my favourite venue these days, for Anthrax though, it was the best atmosphere I can recall....but some great gigs there, The Wildhearts, Machine Head, Megadeth, Mastodon, Saxon, Michael Schenker, Magnum, UFO, Fish, Europe, Soulfly, Airbourne....and years back Motorhead and Living Colour!
I don't go to a lot these days, but I have seen Mastodon, Devin Townsend, Opeth and Ghost at the 02 in recent years as I really like them all. And I saw living Colour there with Stereo MC's supporting back in the day, I remember the singer had a bad cold, but still sang so brilliantly.
Great night in Bristol, saw them at Hammersmith on the original tour and the atmosphere was better this time round! How Thrash Metal should be, packed smaller venues with standing tickets...amazing! Thanks!!
Cheers Andrew. I saw them on the among the living tour too. in the Colston hall. Still remember it, and Testament who supported. They are still pretty ferocious live after all these years, Great show !
Did you to the Biekeller when they played about 15 years ago? It's great they have had a rebirth in terms of popularity, and to see some of the old fans flocking back, as well as the new ones. A legendary album in big 4 terms!
