Roam Vagabond XL Forest Green Tent

The roam vagabond XL tent is the perfect size for a family of 4 of more ! The annex room is huge and is easy to set up the mattress is larger than a king size ! The forest green color looks amazing in the pines!

I have a Roam Vagabond XL and Tepui Autana Ruggedized. The cover on the Roam is really nice. I also liked the curved rain fly. With that said, The Tepui is much better built. The Roam rain fly is connected to the poles by a sleeve of clear plastic while Tepui uses the tent fabric. Another issus is the 3 tie down staps at the end of the over hang. On the Roan the straps are connected only at the seam. Mine broke within a dozen trips. The Tepui is sewn along the fabric. Much heavier duty. After years of use, the straps show no signs of wearing out. A friend's 23Zero also has the straps sewn like the Tepui. For this reason, I would not recommend the Roam tent in windy conditions.
I am very disappointed with the Roam. In my opinion, the Roam is not in the same catagory as Tepui.

I am looking at a tent to put on my 2005 WK, this looks like it would be perfect. I like it has a door to get into your vehicle, the Thule tent I was looking at does not have that feature.

Does this particular model fit on a 5.6 Raptor SuperCrew bed or do I have to go with the NOT "XL" version?

Yes it will I have installed the xl tent on the raptor and you jus need to center it up

What rack are you using on that JT? Does the Vagabond XL overhang the hardtop, or could it be used on a low-profile rack?

Leitner designs bed rack the tent will over hang the bed about a ft and half either way justt better when it’s higher because of more clearance
