The problem is, he was babied. Narcissists aren't born that way; they develop. Not holding children accountable and constantly bailing them out really affects a growing brain.
Chandler wore a mask that, evidently, his parents didn't even see through. What a tragic ending to the lives of this couple.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, for civilized countries) everyone does. There's a reason these things are in place.
Do you realize how many innocent people have been (and still are) convicted and even murdered by authorities when they didn't have proper defenses set up? Humans make errors. Having these things in place help mitigate these issues, whether you like them or not.
      In addition, hindsight is 20/20.

When you believe you have a whole future and life with someone, it is hard to see that they could do something this horrible. One minute, youre thinking of being happy living together, growing old with your dogs. Then you end up finding out that your BF was manipulating you and his family for months, and that his parents weren’t missing but that they were dead. Burned and parted out. That is so horrendous it would be hard to wrap your mind around it right away. That future is now gone, and for some people, its another heartbreak to lose everything

@@blanktrigger8863 both refer to ASPD. My husband has treated sociopathic ASPD and he doesn't care enough about how other people feel to get violent about it, there's a spectrum of socio vs psychopathic ASPD. Psychopathic ASPD is the violent kind, they aren't immune to ego injury and tend to dwell on things. If you did something to my SO he'd shrug it off and forget about it the same day because he knows himself solidly enough that your action doesn't phase him/you don't matter enough to warrant a second thought, if you were to commit narcissistic injury on a psychopathic ASPD sufferer they'd take it as true and real because their sense of self is shoddy and fuzzy at the edges, connected to how others view them.
It's more complicated than "aspd is violent". Psychopathic ASPDs can love others as their own people but feel deeply rejected by them because of that otherness, sociopathic ASPDs love others as an extension of themselves and that can make their relationships incredibly codependent, for instance.

Her bf was a psychopath and it all hit her in the public eye.. or a bit afterwards. I hope shes ok. A beautiful young woman, too lovely for him, a v lucky escape. His parents had a few moments of realising he was a psychopath and then they were gone. Nasty nasty lazy deceitful boy.

And I find the officers question rather flippant because he should know that even if the suspect turns out to be guilty as sin they can't just do as they please. So yeah, if they are in the house rhey better have a warrant.

Sociopaths are really good at creating a social illusion that they are good and perfect. I've met a lot of people who change their behavior around their kids once others were not there to witness, or if they were, they'd manipulate them to dismiss it. Please stop normalizing children hurting their parents, there is nothing random about it. Even spoiling or over coddling a kid will lead them to an altered sense of morality and reality.
