Hello! I just found your channel while I was searching about EVNIA Philips. Good video. Greetings from Spain.
Hi, thank you very much for the comment and compliment. Really appreciate it! 🤗
Great review, keep it up!
Thank you very much for the comment and the support. :)
Sounds like a great competitor to the PG42UQ! Are you able to turn off the ABL/ASBL on the EVNIA?
I know that usually works by reducing the whole image brightness but I still prefer it to the dimming most OLED have when opening a big white page.
Hey! Thanks for the review. Would have been cool to go over the kvm and pbp/pip features. This makes it amazing for people working from home and puts it ahead the reasonably-priced C2.
Hi, thank you for the comment. I do have to agree, but the video was already too long and even with the original video recorded, the review was over 30 minutes. I know this is is important for people you mentioned, which are definitely epic features. Maybe if I get some more time with the monitor, I will do it.
@@PCCrazyDario You didn't review the biggest difference between this display and the LG OLEDS. KVM and PiP/PBP. Big miss IMO.
@@Xenogears With all the information, these things happen. My apologies.
I will buy this for my Mac and ps5! 😍🥳 tanks for the video.
Thank you for the comment. :)
Can believe this pops up on my feed, as I am doing my monitor research.
I am shocked as you that my video poped up at all. :)
Googles AI sending you what you need 😅😂🤣
@@michaelthompson9798 Hahaha most likely. :P
Just popped up for me the same way 3 weeks later lol
@@phader2 Hehe nice! Thanks for checking back!
very good review I just subscribed
Thank you very much for both! 🙌
@@PCCrazyDario my pleasure
Wow! I find the colors and the speed amazing in this video. There's no need to buy it, since I am watching it with my old Philips 436M6 😂
I'm also using 436M6, and I'm checking this 42M2 and also LG C3, but my Mac Studio M1 doesn't support 120HZ unless you have to install some of app to deal with EEID or something~
And the color and brightness is already really good on 436M6
I too am watching with a 436M6. Ridiculously big ain't it? I've also got an old 65" TV on my wall about 4 foot behind it and I've not turned it on since I got this monitor years ago.
I wish they make this monitor in a 32" 16:9 curved oled! Would buy in a heart beat.
they do have a 32"
Is this a glossy monitor like lg2 42 inch tv? Also how is the text clarity of working on word or reviewing documents?
Display Screen Coating
Anti-Glare, Low-reflection 2%, Haze 25%, so no, its not
may i know the input lag @60hz
de mi reci kako si zadovoljan sa monitorom sad mu je malo pala cijena pa si mislim kupiti taj i zamjeniti moj C2 TV OLED. Najvise me na C2 smeta glossy finish , vise mi odgovara ovako matt coating
Does it have a heatsink for the panel?
I honestly didn't open the monitor to check the inside and in spec sheet it doesn't say anything.
How would this compare to the Asus PG42 OLED both have similar spec and price point?
I can only compare based on the online specs since I didn't have the chance to review the ASUS PG42 OLED. :(
Is there a noticeable anti-glare coating noise on an even white background?
Haven't noticed such to be honest.
Bought this monitor. Anti-glare coating is better than on KTC G42P5 which I returned. Screen color uniformity also better than on KTC. Overal first impression is really good! The only thing I don't like so far is that VESA mount sticks 3cm from the surface and makes monitor closer comparing to KTC.
@@qwerty-us8ym Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully it will help people decide. :)
How is the sound/speakers?
As I always say for monitor speakers compared to dedicated ones, teribble. Better than on other monitors, but nothing spectacular to be fair.
What is the power consuption of this monitor?
While it is turned on: 69.6W (typical), stanby mode: 0.5W, turned off: 0.3W.
I recently just got this monitor but ps5 only runs 4k 60hz not 120. But my pc can do 120hz/138 hz whats the reason for this? Output signal on ps5 is always 4k 60hz 😢
The PS5 supports 4k games up to 120Hz with HDMI 2.1. Check the cable and settings. More than that I can't help you since I don't own a PS5.
@@PCCrazyDario Thanks for the reply, I recently read that some Ps5 games are locked at 60fps so maybe it depends on the game. Im using PC to game more these days anyways
@@stephengamble4874 To be honest, I don't even own a PS5 so I don't know about some games being locked at 60FPS. I learn something new each day. :)
its a cool monitor but man is it expensive
Yeah, but to be honest, you won't be buying it for 1080p/1440p gaming PC that can't push 2160p. The thing is, as I stated in the video, this monitor is something when you have space and you spent chunk of money on all high-end PC components for an outstanding workstation or gaming PC. :) But I understand you.
Why the hell they dont make a 32 one ? I belive the perfect size for most of us , i slighty prefer 27 inch but 32 doesn't botter me , but 42 inch it's gigantic , i cannot use that for monitor use , i like to stay close like 25 /30 inches from the screen
It is definitely a different story with this one, but I would prefer 27" 2160p without a doubt in my setup. I would use this one separately on another setup.
I think 32" 4K oled gaming monitors coming in the end of 2024.
@@dangcao3370 That would be nice. :)
check this Monitor 34M2C8600 it's Evnia QD OLED in 34"
because the way they are constructed means 4k oleds are a struggle to create smaller - this is why 1440p 34" widescreens are starting
At least I do not recommend buying an OLED monitor. It is not suitable for computer working (gaming maybe annoying too). The reason is the pixel refresh, which has to be done every 4 hours. The message is displayed so shortly, that you cannot read it. I was in the middle of an online meeting, as the monitor went dark. Switching it on, I was able to redisplay the message for one second. I took a picture and read, that after 16 hours of usage, you will be forced to do the refresh. This should last a few minutes (which is still not acceptable). For me, it lasted 'forever'. After 20 minutes I left my work and returned in the evening. The monitor then allowed me to work, again 🙏
I immediatly returned the device. Imagine, you are in the middle of a game and the monitor must do its refresh 👎 The picture and the colors were amazing, but my 436M6 is not bad, too. I also had some trouble with 2 computers, where I did not get a picture from display port in windows logon screen. Had to click blind like stupid. Getting into a BIOS is also an issue. It is designed 'for Gaming'. Do computer users only game? That makes no sense. I did not even start a game 😂
Such a shame!
sorry to say but this is not true. I just bought this monitor a week ago. And the Warning time you can increase, and remove the warning. And there is no need to do it, if you keep your pixel Orbiting On and you can remove the Auto warning option to Off. So they suggest every 4 hours, and it is done with in a few min, les then 6 in total. Also i just upgraded the Firmware and now the screen stay's on after it is done. So the "Must to do a refresh" is not true and you are not forced to do it. And to be honest, if you're playing for 4 hours or working for those 4 hours with out a break you should maybe take that 6min of refresh time, to take a pee or stretch your legs.
@@dannyboymac How dare I complaining about a youtubers device. Spend your money and get burnin for free. We haven't had it since 1999 😃
@@dannyboymac while what you put is true I still stand that OLED is not ready for desktop usage at all. The new QD OLED shit can burn in as little as 700hours and tbh I know its less than that as that was very visible burn in and it starts around the 500hours mark ( RRTIGNS, Hardware unboxed for time ). Seeing as this is not needed in one full go, meaning I can take breaks and move things around all I want but as soon as I put something in that same spot again the timer ticks. This is easy to wrack up 700hours or even 500hours of desktop usage or workflow, heck gaming as well. While OLED is amazing and so much better than anything I have seen and owned I ended up going mini LED over it. I still have my AW3423DW in front of me and it does look better than the mini LED obviously... But I don't have to worry about burn in ever and can freely use my display as a display... Which you cant really do with OLED. I love my OLED but for work and long usage on desktop its a no
You can get this monitor for 899€ in Germany! It's the cheapest OLED of all.
Link?
Exactly, I need a link for that.
liar
1399€.
899 its for the 34'
I remember …. I think Techtesters (UA-cam) testing this and it’s advertised as a womens gaming monitor 🤦♀🤦🙈😵💫. It’s a nice looking monitor imo …… shit must female and didn’t know it 😅😂🤣.
Ugh, so funny. Why? Because it is white? :D I would rock it without a single doubt in my mind. :P
thats some of the dumbest shit I have ever heard.
"Women's gaming monitor"... what are you talking about?...
I think she reviewed a different Evnia. Looks like she has an ultrawide.
@@leatherhidegaming Hmmm, does an ultrawide make it a womens gaming monitor? Nothing against Techtesters of course. :)
Looking into a LG C2. This Philips monitor is quite a nice option to. Only the AmbiGlow is already a reason for me to choose it over the C2, but the price is just a bit to overkill 🥲
I would really like to give you more insights on the LG compared to the Philips one, but unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to test it out. :/ In general, this one is really great + AmbiGlow is a cool combination. The price, well in some terms it is up for a discussion. :D
@@PCCrazyDario maybe one day 🙏
@@DevinGamed Hehe maybe. Thanks man! :)
it's the same panel as C2, it was noticed on other video
Just bought the C2 haha
