- I continue my solo narrowboat adventure cruising downstream on the Llangollen canal. Unfortunately the canal is still closed due to winter stoppages so I can't leave yet so i've been exploring away from the canal to nearby villages. This week I head off to Weston Rhyn in search of The Temple - a folly that is similar in plan to Stonehenge, at half scale it is said to have been erected around 1830 in the exact form of the celebrated druidical temple at Stonehenge, although it appears that the replica is far from precise. The builder has been identified as a Major West.

I think I may have found the holy grail of rum cocktails.....Finders orange and raisin rum with Fever Tree spiced orange ginger ale. We call it The Bitter Beeatch. It is banging! Not too much though Heidi...just wet the lips!

Sorry sorry sorry,I missed you yesterday I had to take she who must be obeyed to the Hairdresser for a Perm ....hairdressers have such weird magazines.Then we had to go to the Bank, Canada is now in a "financial Crisis".Glad your'e going with the flow but please Heidi dear no more lies please you said the water was frozen when you were playing with your prop ....not possible if it was frozen. I'm wondering when Rum freezes ...please take necessary precautions.....drink it while you can .Thank goodness its warmed up a bit butnow its bloody snowing again ,must be winter or something..So me lil Piratical friend stay warm and take care coz you're very special .

It makes me laugh when you say it's bloody cold when it is -2 deg. C. I've had -30 deg. C. last week. Now, that's what I call col☃❄🥶d.
I know 😂😂 but being stood in one position without able to move your body for 4-5 hours is freezing 🥶 we have a very damp cold in the UK so different to other countries … I didn’t feel the cold the same when Ski-ing in Austria etc it’s a totally different moist nasty 😂🏴☠️
Hope you manage to keep warm, you are hot stuff after all, i did not envy you going down your weed hatch. The worst thing we ever had round our prop was an abandoned sari. Our old lady cat was responsible for the word "Fallollop", which we reckoned was a mix of falling down slowly and flop. It was the movement she perfected as she would curl up and lay down at the same time. Time for a hot drink before you find those organ stops again, take care. My favourite inuendo is, "She asked for an inuendo, so i gave her one". So you like a hard sausage then?

It is always interesting to hear how different the English language is depending on where you are at the time. The differences are interesting for instant your dinner, you called it a casserole which to us in the states is chopped vegetables, meat, and a starchy binder like mashed potatoes or tater tots or pasta. Your dinner we would call a stew, which would be more liquid, missing the binder. Either way I enjoy you and your channel. I learned something new from you. I did not realize that Wales and England are actually separate. I thought Wales was like a county within England. Thank you for the correcting me.

😂😂 yes it would be fab but it’s hard to carry all my clothes, cameras and the jackery and solar panels down a towpath to a bus / train etc to get the van so I may try and get something a bit cheaper for the van 😄🏴☠️

You would have to lash an outboard motor on a raft as the canals don't have much current, unlike a river.
