This show has aged well. I remember getting up early to watch this. It's really too bad that the series was so short lived. This is one of my favorite episodes in the series!
The events of this show are not canon, but it canonically exists in the BattleTech universe as a piece of anti-clan propaganda aimed at children... That would explain why a clanner would call a Mad Dog a Vulture, because the show, inside of the universe, was made in the Inner Sphere.
oh wow. this staff-swaps are really nice. everyone becoming each others bondsmen. first zero got swapped to the clan-guys now this clan-girl swapped to the inner sphere. really love it :D
Ah the Bushwacker. In 1996 when my family moved to Vancouver we went toy shopping to help cope with the move and we found BattleTech toys at the Toys 'R Us. I got Val's Bushwacker and my brother got Pytor's Hunchback.
This needs to be remade. Seriously, this is deliciously '90s it hurts. Also, they should've used the Clan names for their 'Mechs (Summoner, Mad Dog, etc.).
Aye! Hail invincible Mad Cat! The most recognised Mech ever! In every trademark, on almost every box with MW there was Mad Cat... Look at now, at Mechwarrior Dark Age by WizzKids, it also has MadCat in logo!
il agree with with the fact the bushwhacker is an awsome mech but its gota be the Timberwolf for me. A nice looking clan mech thats well round and hard as nails.
Star Captain Redmond says she will attack with her Vulture's (as a Clanner, she's supposed to call it a Mad Dog) lasers disabled. And then she proceeds to attack with nothing but lasers.
Depends who uses the crypt-name... for Clans its "Mad Dog", for innerspheere its "vulture. So coled "Mad Cat" is supposed to be colled "Timber Wolf" by clans
Guys, they probably wanted to simplify the mech names, I mean, I really was confused about why they called the summoner the thor in mechwarrior 4, you know, after I played Mechwarrior 2, but then I realised it was the IS name for it, so it's easier to understand it that way!
IIRC in the sourcebook for the cartoon which I have, they explain that she disabled just her medium lasers, but kept her large lasers. She should've said medium there.
Correction: Tank armor is crapped up paper mache that is more for comfort (Except Furies and Challenger MBT's- known for slugging it out with Mechs-) whilst Mech armor is far mroe than one or two inches! At the least armor on the Firemoth is 3 inches, The Vulture's armor is 5 inches, and the Dire Wolf's armor... is legendary.
Damn it shadowcat, since when does the Inner Sphere start using Gargoyles? The Awesome only uses the pulse lasers on its arms. And, the Gargoyle has NO beam slots OR the capacity to hold beam weaponry on its arms. IT has two autocannons. And I didn't see them on the 'gargoyle'.
great show, but at 18:45 it was little funny xD "hmm.. dark in here.." *lights come on* ppl goe like : "Heey BLablaraba"$^%rabblerabblegrablabla" lol..
thanks, I'll have to remember that. it's just that I've had a very limited exposure to the actual games; computer, tabletop and otherwise. I know there's no actual point for me to argue this because I'll most likely be wrong. thanks again!
??? are you sure??? The Gargoyle is renowned for mounting a Gauss Rifle in the dead centre of the chassis, plus the gargoyle mounts ballistics from here to hell and back and the awesome is a well known beam specialist are you sure you've gotten correct information?
the Awesome mounts multiple PPCs, right? plus several lazer and missile arrays? just double checking my information that I don't wanna bother arguing with whiney smeggs. great show though, shows like this should eventually become public domain, like abandonware games.
You know, what every person that ahs posted a comment has had a different KNOWN FACT about the thickness of a mechs armour so why doesnt everyone go to solaris 7 and get SOME REAL GODDAMN INFROMATION!!

What I would do to watch this in original production quality xD
Man, it’s like I’m watching this on a shitty tv AND a shitty antenna despite the fact that I’m on an IPhone…. I LOVE the nostalgia

Would have been confusing to the little kids this show was marketed to.
Aye! Hail invincible Mad Cat! The most recognised Mech ever! In every trademark, on almost every box with MW there was Mad Cat... Look at now, at Mechwarrior Dark Age by WizzKids, it also has MadCat in logo!
What the? That was an Awesome Assault class mech. It should have toasted that Vulture!
@MsGunMetal "Vulture" is the Inner Sphere name for the Clan Mad Dog OmniMech and, later, a very poorly manufactured substitute.
"But they made one big mistake. They attacked MY home planet!" The one line i remembered and which helped me find it again!
il agree with with the fact the bushwhacker is an awsome mech but its gota be the Timberwolf for me. A nice looking clan mech thats well round and hard as nails.
Nicholi calls his mech a Thor, when it's a Summoner.
Pfft.
Except Nicolai IS a Jade Falcon. Shouldn't he use the correct name?
@Warstar Yeah it's about as weird as a Russian character speaking Russian calling the helicopter he's piloting a "Hip" or a "Hind" or "Havoc".
same mech
lol this little series is awesome
The Inner Sphere rulez !!! Bastards Clans go down !!! Glory to the Stars League !!!
You know the madcatisnt that great MAD CAT MKII is a force to be reckoned with plus it has jump jets
well the mechs have extremely light endo-steel internal structure whilst the tanks use standard chassis that limit weapon space and speed.
Mad-dogs, Summoners, Timberwolfs.
Star Captain Redmond says she will attack with her Vulture's (as a Clanner, she's supposed to call it a Mad Dog) lasers disabled.
And then she proceeds to attack with nothing but lasers.
wonder if they're going to do a remake. it's can be done and they have a lot of Battletech storyline to draw upon.
Depends who uses the crypt-name... for Clans its "Mad Dog", for innerspheere its "vulture. So coled "Mad Cat" is supposed to be colled "Timber Wolf" by clans

Maddog And Summoner are varients of the two.
And that ladies and gentlemen is why in Battletech you stay the fuck out of a swamp.

Oh ok thanks i wasnt shure cause i was getting sad when a 90 ton mauler was getting owned by a vulture
Thats one messed up looking Bushwhacker.
Also, Its Laser time Bros put on your 3D Shades!
@MsGunMetal Same reason Nicoli refers to his Summoner as a Thor.
great show, but at 18:45 it was little funny xD
"hmm.. dark in here.." *lights come on* ppl goe like : "Heey BLablaraba"$^%rabblerabblegrablabla" lol..
yes just like the gargoyle it can hold 3 PPCs in its right arm
I always thought the Marauder was more iconic. Of course, it wasn't nearly what a Timber Wolf was.
Lol this was when the innersphere made the AWESOME AND THE BUSHWACKER LOL
thanks, I'll have to remember that. it's just that I've had a very limited exposure to the actual games; computer, tabletop and otherwise. I know there's no actual point for me to argue this because I'll most likely be wrong. thanks again!
I'd sure hate to be the bush ITS whackin! heh heh heh
Didn't believe, then I saw. And believed.
Only some mechs use and endo steel internal structure
the awesome mech was made ages ago acording to the time line
gimme my maraduar with clan gauss rifles any day
Vultures, Thors, Mad Cats...
Is it just me or does the Clans ER Large Laser have the coolest sound?
@iHateSpoilerz Its a different varient: Takes out the PPCs and replaces them with Large Lasers.
I thought she was going in with her Vulture lasers offline?
??? are you sure??? The Gargoyle is renowned for mounting a Gauss Rifle in the dead centre of the chassis, plus the gargoyle mounts ballistics from here to hell and back and the awesome is a well known beam specialist are you sure you've gotten correct information?
He's a ComStar Precentor.
really i thought it was a couple of feet thick at least!
the Awesome mounts multiple PPCs, right? plus several lazer and missile arrays? just double checking my information that I don't wanna bother arguing with whiney smeggs. great show though, shows like this should eventually become public domain, like abandonware games.
He belongs to Comstar, a Word of Blake follower. He looked more like kkk to me though.
I had these toys
sakumoto would be cooked if redmens reactor overloaded.
Word of Blake Acolyte no doubt.
she called a Mad Dog a Vulture and shes a clanner.. da fuq
who is that gandalf like character???
Malthus just called his Mech by its Surat IS name TRIAL OF GRIEVANCE!
Mad Cat=Marauder + Catapult
Battletech Dominatrix Hentai opportunities in this episode lol... :3
MY HOME PLANET
Kha0s8
Wow and I didn't knew Saban caught on to Disney's veiled adult humor. But then again this is a Japanese company.
THE AWESOME IS A GARGOYLE
Agreed!!!
I think christian redmen has a thing for Zero.
60 tons, 70 tons, 75 tons
tsk tsk..... thor shouldn't be called that.... should be called a "summoner" and the vulture called a "mad dog"
BAD SOUND BUT WELL WORTH WATCHING.
You know, what every person that ahs posted a comment has had a different KNOWN FACT about the thickness of a mechs armour so why doesnt everyone go to solaris 7 and get SOME REAL GODDAMN INFROMATION!!
Damnit. I GO TO SOLARIS 7! So, let's stop arguing about this, k? Since I was after Shadowcat.
That is possibly the most cheesy ComStar robe I have ever seen.....
maybe lesser clans like clan jade falcon arn't true clanners like clan ghost bear XP
da fug? i never new mech warrior was a show..
Battletech wizard. Lol
ComStar are weird.
Bah. I hate how they're all using the IS names for the mechs. Granted it IS the is crew we're following, I still prefer the clan names.
@madcat789 Oh..........well that sucks =/
A FUCKING WIZARD AT 4 MINUTES
@Gallowell Aff.
Ok i will then Oh and all you mech junkies i made a group if anyones interested in joining it click on my name
