I really love that you didn't want to swim with the dolphins because you could see they were not being handled correctly. Its so nice to see people on UA-cam who really care. Love you two and I hope this is your best year yet xx
When you said "I feel like the luckiest guy on earth" 🥺 that feeling when you realise where you are, who you're with and how grateful you are to be there! No feeling like it!🥰🥰🥰 your videos are amazing!xx
We took our cruise on the Edge in May '23. I also noticed fewer kids on the ship and the older demographic. By chance, I met a Celebrity employee who worked in the Kids Club. She said time of year and length of cruise really affects the ship's demographic. Our trip was before Memorial Day in the US so most schools are still in session and many families are not traveling yet. She explained that our cruise had 50 guests under age 18 but the same cruise in June will have 300 and one in July will have 700. She also noticed longer cruises have an older demographic, ours was 12 days. Vacationing families often take 7 day or less cruises due to cost and time available. Thought I'd share her comments. Love your reviews!
We did a repositioning cruise a few years ago. Very few kids. As we are now in our late 70s we shy away from out of control kids who run wild and knock us down which can in the end be fatal.
Thank you so much, gentlemen, for your review! Wonderful points all around and I really appreciate you taking the time to make this comprehensive video & for recognizing our crew! I look forward to "sea" you again (& next time I've got your back at the buffet!) 😉
Good to know that the captain of that cruise ship actually read and viewed your review Maybe she can also talk about disabled people Just asking???🕶👩❤️👨
The crew is reflective of the captain and Captain Kate is the best. We have sailed with her and she walks the walk. I believe 3 years ago Captain Kate was to disembark for her vacation right after the International Women’s Day cruise. Someone asked a crew member who was cleaning the doors of the theatre if she was going to miss her. The crew member had actual tears in her eyes and said yes, she talks to us and treats us like family but we know she is coming back.
I really love how you always praise and appreciate the staff who make all these "wonders" possible in the first place. Staff is often so under-appreciated but nothing would go without them. Thank you for always mentioning and praising them!
Totally agree! Though we tend to cruise on the smaller lines with smaller ships, it’s great to hear that a larger ship has the same great quality of service. Sometimes those “entitled” people just take crew members for granted, other than the bar tenders. 😉. Also, just back from an Oceania cruise, 1,070 passengers, and we noticed maybe 20 gay or lesbian couples. None of the much older white passengers seemed to be treating them any differently or worse than anyone else. I kept looking for a couple as adorable as you guys…. but nope! 😁
I worked for Celebrity for a number of years pre-covid. They are definitely VERY open and inclusive. It all really seems to come down to the individual crowd sailing itself.
They are spot on about a small group of people who are snobby. In my opinion, this small of amount of people need to "try" to make others feel small in order to deal with their insecurities. Don't let this deter you from trying Celebrity. This group is so small you can ignore them and have good time.
Who are these people they and you are referring to?? Just old, white, rich, conservative assholes? The ship and video look awesome otherwise. Sad experience though apparently...?? :(
Just know that they’re huff because they’re slipping into “mother/father” roles when they see youngsters like Ben and David, who are probably younger than their own children that they stifle.
That made me sad to hear. I thought maybe it was due to them being older maybe? I know on Carnival most everyone is friendly and it truly is a diverse line. We’ve met lots of nice people on our Carnival cruises. I know, I know… they don’t have the best reputation, but we have never had any issues.
@Tracey Marshall I experienced the same on a Canadian cruise with royal last year and my most recent caribbean norwegian cruise. Unfortunately they can be found on any line it is luck of the draw
But it is kind of unfair to include that in their "brutal review" of Celebrity. This is not a Celebrity thing; it's a society thing. There are people like that EVERYWHERE. Fortunately, as noted, they are a very small majority and we think the best way to deal with them is to ignore them and don't let them spoil your vacation.
Your production quality leaves no room for improvement. The content is next level equally. Please don't change a thing. I never thought about a cruise until I came across your channel a while back and now I'm saving and arranging. You deserve every sponsorship thrown at you two beauties.
So glad (thank you) to have the 'eyes' of you 'Celebrity Newbies' to compare to our experiences. So much of what you saw is spot on with our experiences, so good to know that the Mega ships still provide that level of goodness at that number of guests. Our most extraordinary crew interaction was on Celebrity. We had taken a Med cruise (amazing) on Celebrity, three years later on a Caribbean cruise one night walking forward for the show, a cabin steward stopped what he was doing, greeted us BY NAME, and recalled his being our stew on that Med cruise. Incomparable. We choose Celebrity any time we can. Never disappointed.
I love your videos. Thank you for posting. I am sorry about the small group of rude entitled people that thought it was ok to make you feel unwelcome. But I am glad you called them out in it. Sadly rudeness is on the rise and it is not OK.
I especially like the time you guys spend on the food reviews on your videos , especially you Ben. Being a foodie myself, it is one of the criteria that I will use on booking any future cruises. Thanks for your balanced reviews and your ability to show both good and bad.
Ben and David- Thank you so much for your great reviews and finally giving us a review of a Celebrity ship. My husband and I have been dedicated Celebrity cruisers and by far and beyond have found the cruise line to be the most friendly to us as a gay couple. It may have just been the particular cruise you were on, but we always find that our community is well represented in the guests that are on board. Of course we always encounter the occasional idiots who are entitled are for some reason think they are better…we just ignore and don’t engage and move on as we don’t want anyone raining on our holiday. In comparison to almost every other cruise line, I have to say that I am grateful for celebrity’s marketing materials. We actual feel seen. And well of course I can’t say enough great things about Captain Kate, but also a company who lifts up women and seems to be making a real effort when it comes to equity compared to other lines. Glad to hear you will be cruising Celebrity again from one gay couple to another. Cheers! Kyle and Steven
Hello Ben & David! So happy you got to experience Celebrity Cruises! We are a Gay couple who cruise a lot and have always found Celebrity to be the most inclusive of all lines. I am sorry you seem to have had a similar experience as we did last year on Enchanted Princess where we were made to feel uncomfortable and that has never happened to us before; I really think we just happened to schedule a Cruise with a large amount of conservative passengers but we still enjoyed ourselves. Hoping you will give Celebrity another try as it truly is an amazing Cruise line. Keep the awesome Videos coming! Cheers Chad & Kevin!
I'm a Conservative and have no problem with who anyone sleeps with, don't bring politics to it. You guys just encountered uptight small minded A-holes. Better to not blanket judge anyone.
Same here, as a queer person married to another queer person, we always feel more welcome on celebrity. There will always be homophobes tho, I heard people get upset when they played Lil Nas X and left because the DJ was playing "too much gay sh*t"
100% Agree! Been on Celebrity multiple times and always felt welcome & included. Usually you do end up making LGBTQIA friends at some point during the cruise!
I must concur, and as a solo gay cruiser, that kind of open mindedness and inclusiveness is everything to me… I recommend Celebrity (and Virgin) to anyone who’ll listen…
Once we cruised on the Solstice. There were people who had ultra-high status in Celebrity. They sort of “held court” at EVERY event. They made the events about them and how many times they cruised. It was a bit of a let down for us. We finally asked a crew member how to avoid them and the rest of the cruise was so much better. Love Celebrity and love you lads.
My partner and I went on our first Celebrity cruise this last October on the Apex and had lots of the same impressions as you: lovely ship with very friendly crew, good food, and fun entertainment. Our cruise had a more diverse age range and couples and we felt no discomfort at all and no judgement from anyone else. That’s generally what we hear others say so I suspect you just had the bad luck to have an exception to the rule. Oh, and I’m completely on Team Olive here with David and my partner Rich is on Team NO Olives with Ben. 😊
I'm so glad y'all cruise with Steph! I didn't know her prior to seeing her on one of your videos last year. I love watching her cruise vlogs now! What a wonderful friendship to have all around!
Wow! Great video gentlemen! I watched all 3 of your videos on the Celebrity Beyond and now I'm really excited for my wife and I to go on our Celebrity cruise. Thank you!!
Aquaclass is worth it for Blu alone. The food in Blu is amazing, with a new menu every night. Plus, you can still order the main dining rooms food in Blu as well, if for some reason you want to. But with Blu too…it really makes spending money on speciality dining even less appealing, unless you really want something unique like Le Petite Chef. Celebrity is our favorite and we always do Aquaclass.
Ben and David, it looks like you had a great time ( except for a few rude people). Nobody should ever feel uncomfortable!! Not sure how I feel about the balcony 🤔. That poor puppy, you showed him some kindness and he wanted to come with you. The food!! Looked good, a shame it needed more seasoning. Good seeing all of you together having fun. Thank you for all the hard work to get this together. This is my favorite part of Sunday! ❤️❤️
I'm so sorry u guys were made to feel uncomfortable ....there is a lot of older people that feel they have the right.....well they r wrong..... I'm 71 if u chose to give me a seat...thank you.....if u don't oh well I should have gotten my butt there earlier or on time. And that's the way it is.Thank u for ur videos.. . I love them.....keep cruising and be happy and healthy. Enjoy the life....
I agree with Ben. I love Olive oil but can’t eat the olives. Thank you for the review of Beyond. I was on the Apex and loved that ship especially the theater.
This is my first time to watch a video about a cruise and I loved it, iv always been a little frightened to go on a cruise and my husband has always wanted to go on one,,well, after watching this with you guys, I’m actually excited about doing it, this is at the top of my bucket list, thank you !
I feel like I watch every cruise channel out there and you two are the best! You give great information, and above all else you make me smile. I agree with you on most things as well. I hope I am lucky enough to run into you on one of my many cruises . Good luck to you both!❤
Love your videos! I seriously appreciate this honest review. I’ve been thinking about booking a cruise for myself and my soon-to-be wife for our 1 year anniversary, and inclusivity/feeling comfortable is HUGE for us. It’s something I will definitely consider as I choose a specific cruise line. Much love from Florida!!
I cruised on the Celebrity Summit in Dec 2021 with my BFF and we felt it was very inclusive. We saw many gay couples and we often get mistaken for a romantic couple, and no one treated us any differently, even if we clarified our status. Everyone was very friendly!
Ben and David, thank you so much for the wonderful video. You are an excellent example of “infotainment”; not only do you give honest advice, but you have voices and mannerisms that are perfect on video! This is the first video of yours that I’ve watched and I’m hooked! 😊
In the last 9 months, we have cruised on the Celebrity Millennium, Holland America Konigsdam, RCCL Liberty of the Seas and the NCL Epic. I found Celebrity to have a level of service that I have never experienced on a cruise ship. From the time that you step on the ship until you leave, you are made to feel welcome. Also, unlike the other cruise ships, it felt like they were fully staffed. What we liked is the ability to share tables with other couples. The eight of us who met on the first night ended up sitting together the entire cruise. We never did any specialty dining as teh included food was great. I will admit that it is an older crowd - there were 21 people under 21 out of 2100 people. which was alright with us. We did not really encounter a lot of snobbiness at all but in all fairness, we were on the oldest ship in the Celebrity line. The food and service was excellent. The entertainment was enjoyable. However, on our ship, the sound and lighting were really out of date. It is far below what we encountered at HAL. Your title IMPLIES that you had a lousy time on the cruise.
The Mellennium is 23 years old. That's why. I think the Celebrity Solstice ships are far and away their best. The Edge are their latest and most technologically advanced and modern. But the Solstice have more charm.
@@benjaminsmith2287 We are planning to be on the Solstice in September for an Alaskan cruise. The Millennium may be 23 years old, but you would never know that by the condition of the ship or the training of the staff. We tend to book the older ships in any line as they are more affordable and a lot less crowded.
@@jlawrence0181 I'm glad to hear Celebrity still is maintaining their ships to a high standard. They've always been excellent at ship cleanliness and maintenance but they have had some slip ups at times.
@@benjaminsmith2287 The thing that we noticed on the millennium was that the officers were always in the middle of the action so that if there were issues, they could respond immediately. For example, on the last night, they scheduled a comic in the top lounge for the late show. That venue pas packed 25 minutes before the show. the entertainment director immediately moved it to the main theatre and started it 25 minutes late to allow everyone to get down there. The management is always out front and accessible to guests.
Hi Guys - regarding that gorgeous view - sometime you need to book a Panoramic Oceanview Stateroom on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty class of ships (Liberty, Independence, Freedom). They’re only on the very front of the ship. There is no balcony, but the entire outside wall is floor to ceiling glass and you can see what the bridge sees for where the ship is going. I did it once and it was awesome, and the glass outside wall felt wider (maybe because it was the front angled part of the ship). 😎👍
I just want to say you too are amazing!! My wife and I have recently booked a cruise for 2025(first cruise) and I am so excited for it, never been outside the country, Canada, and I must say been watching your videos almost all day every day. You guys are informative and just amazing energy. World needs more people like you two!
Absolutely amazing video!!!! You gentlemen always find ways to make me laugh and make me want to go on a cruise right now!!!! Sooooooo glad to finally be apart of your Patreon family! Can't wait to see my name in future videos!
I'm happy you all overall enjoyed Celebrity! We love their ships and the entertainment. We were very fortunate to go on three Celebrity cruises last year, all on different classes of ships. The buffet is outstanding and we could probably have happily eaten there most meals, but the main dining room was disappointing, and the menus were virtually the same on all three ships. We also didn't appreciate seeing the menus for the Blu and Luminae menus on the app even though we didn't have access to those restaurants, as the food seemed so much more appealing. The quality of the food at times (particularly temperature) made us wonder if Blu, Luminae and main dining were all being prepared in the same galley and the main dining room was being shortchanged.
Thank you for the review of the new veranda setup on some Celebrity ships. We have cruised with Celebrity many times & love the line. We were thinking of going on the Edge class ships for the first time . After seeing your comments about cabin heat when the window is down , we will stick to the Solstice class ships. You guys are the best. Entertaining, informative & fun to watch. Love your content & how you present it. We would love to meet you both on a cruise someday.
Really fantastic review... and useful as well, especially with regard to the infinite balconies. I suppose I should have realized that having the "window" open would mean the AC shut off, given that on most ships, when you open the sliding door to the balcony, the same thing happens. Yet I didn't realize that, so it's good to know. I'm doing my first Celebrity ship in June (Summit) and, as an added treat for myself, staying in the Retreat. Looking forward to comparing the experience to Carnival, NCL and Royal. Good job, guys!
I love the honesty of your review, and I love even more the way you acknowledged the crew in such a genuine way. I am taking a trip on the Edge to Alaska, so this is very helpful, especially the comments surrounding the room & veranda. I may have an opposite problem with the heat turning off instead of the AC turning off, lol.
You are quite correct. There is a feeling of stuffiness on this cruise line even before you step on board with comments from people bragging about going Aqua Class and looking down on people who don’t! We are in the age bracket of most cruisers on the ship as you explained, but it would be the absolute best time if my husband and I had the opportunity to meet such great guys as you two!!!!
Never had that problem or issue with Celebrity. We normally book a veranda stateroom. I’m not sure I would book an infinity veranda or balcony as it definitely had the indoor vibe to it from the looks of things. We use our veranda pretty much daily. Personally, I tend to be claustrophobic hence the veranda and not interior cabin which we did have on our very first cruise (not Celebrity).
Those old people that did not get the opportunity to get to know you both are missing out. You two are such a joy to watch on line and you both come across as the most genuine and friendly couple on earth. Thanks for you both being exactly who you are and know this 60 year old woman loves you both and looks forward to crossing paths some day on a luxury cruise in the future :)
I totally agree about the infinite balconies and the air conditioning. 2:53 I was on the Edge inaugural and I was so bummed by the balcony. I want to sail with Captain Kate someday, but I’ll be getting a regular verandah or an interior!
I'm a Celebrity cruiser & we are booked on Beyond in February going to the same ports. I'm "beyond" excited after seeing your wonderful review. None of the Apex class ships are on the west coast where will live so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm so glad to see that the tenders are larger as I've skipped ports before due to claustrophobia. During holidays & summer break there are lots of multi-generational families on board. Thanks for the great review!
As always, so appreciate your highly entertaining, honest reviews. I was on one of the first Beyond sailings from North America in November and found it a wonderful ship. The celebrity food and spectacular crew make it my fave! Think you'd love the vibe and offerings on some of the older Celebrity ships too... might be less stuffy.
Love your videos. I would be crying to take home that sweet dog. 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Hope the sweet pup is alright. Will never forget finding a trapped dog in the Negev Desert when I was a teenager or the ones I hung out with in Peru.
Your insight to that infinite room was what I was most looking forward to as soon as I knew you were on this ship. Really good point re: the cabin instantly warming up then taking a long time to cool down - I forgot about the humidity experienced in the Caribbean!
Thanks for your great review. We are headed on the Celebrity Beyond in Nov. 2023 and soooo excited!!! We haven't cruised since Oct 2019 when we did RCL Allure. Had a fabulous time. Your reviews of the restaurants was fantastic and I love that I got a sneak peak at the ship. We were going to make reservations at the Roof Top Garden, so grateful for your review. I sure there are other great restaurants we can try. Very excited to meet the fantastic crew!!! Thanks again! Keep cruising and keeping us well informed, you guys rock!!!
Disney Magic was also our first cruise!! We were on her during her inaugural year in 1998. We also love Celebrity, but agree that infinite veranda is probably not the best in the Caribbean. We did the Norwegian Fjords on the Apex and infinite veranda was pretty good for that. We prefer a traditional balcony for Caribbean.
Sailing on Celebrity in November and was looking for review videos and found your video! Thank you for a great review. I subscribed to your channel and am excited to check out more of your videos. I love your style and your humor. You guys are delicious 😊😊
Hello Ben and David - so glad you had the chance to experience Celebrity!!! We have found it to be a step up from any other cruise line. We too are high level RCL but have felt many things have been slowly slipping the past 10 years ( good, service, crew) Celebrity has reinvigorated our desire to cruise again. As for those RUDE people - SHAME. They are just stupid and are wasting air. I hope you can just ignore that type of slick vomit of a people. The class system is gone people! Get over it or buy your own ship to sail on. There were many openly gay couples on my last sailing on Apex so I did not have same experience as you. Sad to hear your experience with rude people - hope you will still sail with Celebrity again. How about plan a group cruise ? Many of us- your followers- would love to share time with you both.
Love your true honest review of Celebrity. Get yourselves on a Solstice ship - they are a bit more traditional than the new ships but with a lovely modern feel & a real balcony! The staff is the real highlight for us on every Celebrity Cruise! Thanks for the video. x
I loved this video mostly because I love to sail on Celebrity cruises. All the ships have their own “personality”. Even though some of them are very old and some are shiny and new, one thing onCelebrity stays the same : The food is excellent. The staff is superb. The overall customer service is amazing. Every inch of the ship is spotless.
Agree that infinite balconies would work better in cold weather cruises than tropical cruises. I hope Celebrity reconsiders their balcony design for new ships they build in the future.
We were thinking of doing Celebrity one day, have only cruised Princess to date. Decided to try Disney before that and doing our first Disney cruise in September. We don’t have young children with us but are Disney parks fans so wanted to experience their cruises as adults. Thank you for sharing your Celebrity adventure with us 😊
Oh i am sorry that you were made to feel uncomfortable, that makes me sad 😔. I would love to spend time with you two on the ship you are both a delight and i 'm an old lady, 69 working on 70
I started cruising in my early 20's and my very first cruise was Celebrity. I instantly fell in love and took many more cruises on Celebrity. I've also cruised on Majesty (no longer in existance), Disney, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and a few others I can't remember the names of. Celebrity has always remained my favorite - they keep their ships spotless, their service is top level, their food is excellent. So glad that you enjoyed your first Celebrity cruise!
Celebrity cruises is our favourite cruise line, we feel that it's the best food we've had on any cruise line and we're huge foodies! However, I do agree with your negative points, even though most people are lovely we've had a couple of negative encounters and rude comments directly made towards us from some of the guests onboard (I think the lack of diversity didn't help). We're trying out the Sky Princess in June after your glowing review in a previous video! Another wonderful video, thought it was about time I commented after being a silent watcher for such a long time 😃Also I thought the balcony was a brilliant idea at first, but not as keen on the idea now that I know the cabin gets hot, would be great on a cold destination though!
On my 2022 Christmas cruise on Apex, the people you describe remind me of the following conversation, I mentioned to a fellow passenger; I overheard some young men, describing the importance of the" right fraternity, for future high level jobs." The fellow passenger, described the whole cruise as being "The Establishment!" The prior year's Apex 2021 Christmas cruise, the shoreside boarding staff, described the passengers as being, "very, noticeable affluent."
I'm glad you finally went on Celebrity Cruises. It is our preferred cruise line. Food and Service are top notch like you said. Be careful if you try The Retreat (even just the Skype Suite) you may not want to do anything else. There is also a slightly different vibe on the small class ships, so you should give it a try too. Especially one that was updated just before the pandemic. I really like the Solstice class. Sorry you didn't feel welcome at times. We have in the past seen it to be a welcoming experience for all. I'm hoping it was just group you had on that cruise. I love your videos keep up the great work.
Why do you like the Solstice class? I think they're terrific and I don't care for what I see of the Edge class. It's not that I don't like the Edge class as ships. I don't love them as Celebrity ships even though some spaces are very Celebrity. But others aren't so much.
@@benjaminsmith2287 The primary reason is Murano. I don’t eat French food very often, but I do like it and the cost is more reasonable compared to the new restaurant on the edge class. Also the Lawn Club is nice to hang out on. I also like the grand main dining room, or if in the retreat that restaurant is more intimate.
@@michaelneuburger418 I guess the excuse for the Lawn club going away is that it was "underutilized." Murano is very elegant. There is the Daniel Boulod restaurant on the Edge class but yes, it's more expensive. I overall think the Solstice ships are more elegant with intimacy. And intimacy is important. It's like the designers didn't look at the older ships and then update them based on their content and style but did spaces like Eden. Some of the restaurants are nice but mostly the ones based on the Solstice class. They got so much right in the Solstice class and then sort of threw it away with the Edge.
I worked on the Disney Magic.I just loved it so much. It was in Liverpool last year and i went along to see it. ahh it brings back so many memories 😍I loved Grand Camen to.
When we first started cruising, we were surrounded by loads of pushy people from a certain region of the country acting rudely, yelling and cutting people off while getting an elevator, a seat in the showroom, at the buffet. On the third day, it always settled down, like there was a collective sigh from the crowd that they didn’t have to scratch and tear to get what they wanted like they were accustomed to in the densely populated region that they came from.
Just got back yesterday from a week on the Apex. Had an inside cabin but absolutely LOVED the ship and cruise. Can't wait to try the Beyond. As far as the small element of people you noticed that are snobby, we've noticed that on every Celebrity cruise we've taken. The brand seems to attract "entitled" people. You just have to ignore them. Also there were tons and tons of gay couples on out particular sailing. I'm not aware whether or not it was an organized event but I felt it was pretty inclusive compared to your experience.
Another great video about my new favorite ship. FYI if you do sail on another Edge class ship in an Infinite Verandah, the shade can be stopped at any point so you can keep it half open and half closed . There will be light at the bottom part and shade the sun at the top part. So your cabin does not heat up during the day if the shade is partly down. My sister and I liked the Infinite Verandah cabins we have had on the Edge, Apex and Beyond. We will be trying the Deluxe Porthole with Verandah stateroom on the Ascent in January. There are approximately 30 cabins in this category and in the front part of the ship on a few decks. These cabins do have a balcony . It looked like you had another fun cruise with Steph
I am trying the Deluxe Porthole with Veranda on Beyond in November. I booked that type as I didn’t think the infinite veranda would be my cup of tea, especially for a Caribbean cruise. I need my AC!!
Thanks for another great video! Glad you enjoyed your first experience on Celebrity! I was surprised to hear ye felt that Celebrity wasn’t as inclusive as other cruise lines? As I saw and experienced the complete opposite last June when we were on Beyond on a Med Cruise! They had a big Pride Celebration onboard! Ending with the largest Pride Party at Sea in the Rooftop Garden and it was absolutely fantastic! And a lovely speech from Capt Kate of how lucky and proud she is to have members of the LGBTQ+ community as part of the Beyond/Celebrity family! Was really lovely! There were also more families and a younger crowd onboard then too! Maybe it unfortunately happened to be the sailing ye were on?Defo don’t let it put you off giving Celebrity another chance! Maybe try a Med Summer cruise next time
Never been on Celebrity Thanks for the brutality I also want to compliment you for including Steph with you on your cruises. You are such good friends to her ❤👏😊
We are a straight couple who sail with our gay friends on Celebrity every year and have always found them to be very gay friendly indeed. Maybe it was just this particular sailing. I hope so. We are on Beyond for 21 nights back to back in June with 12 of our friends, half of which are gay couples. It’ll definitely be diverse when we’re on! We’re from Ireland, USA and Australia.
im going on my first cruise in alaska for a princess cruise in may. ive watched a bunch of your princess cruise videos and theyve really put me at ease. i was nervous before, because i didnt know what i was getting into, or if i'd even enjoy it. thanks for all your efforts, i almost feel familiar with the ship now even though i havent been on it yet! lol. and the amount of fun you have is clearly evident in your videos
I’m truly disappointed at your rating of Beyond as 8 out of 10. It doesn’t make sense when your ratings of food, shows, service, art, etc, was mostly 9s and 10s. How do you average that to 8? As far as I can tell, you took points off for some fellow passengers being rude. How does that have anything to do with Celebrity or Beyond? If I took off points on my ship reviews for rude fellow passengers, I’d have always had a “bad experience”. I’m usually in complete agreement with you guys, but you dropped the ball on this one.
I really love that you didn't want to swim with the dolphins because you could see they were not being handled correctly. Its so nice to see people on UA-cam who really care. Love you two and I hope this is your best year yet xx
We love this as well!!
When you said "I feel like the luckiest guy on earth" 🥺 that feeling when you realise where you are, who you're with and how grateful you are to be there! No feeling like it!🥰🥰🥰 your videos are amazing!xx
Thanks so much ❤
Love you guys!
Good to know that the captain of that cruise ship actually read and viewed your review
Maybe she can also talk about disabled people
Just asking???🕶👩❤️👨
The crew is reflective of the captain and Captain Kate is the best. We have sailed with her and she walks the walk. I believe 3 years ago Captain Kate was to disembark for her vacation right after the International Women’s Day cruise. Someone asked a crew member who was cleaning the doors of the theatre if she was going to miss her. The crew member had actual tears in her eyes and said yes, she talks to us and treats us like family but we know she is coming back.
Wow that was nice of the captain 😊
Hey Captain Kate, any chance you'll be at the helm of Celebrity equinox in August?
Wow a reply from the captain. Very classy.
Haha The cheeky little "blink and you'll miss it" innuendos you slip in. That massage one at the end. You'd make a sailor blush.
"I never thought about a cruise until I came across your channel a while back" same!
Me too I’ve just started watching, and am now saving. Looks amazing.
Great video. The dog broke my heart though 😞.
I'm genuinely impressed as to how comprehensive your videos are, keep up the great work!!!
Thank you very much!
I love your videos. Thank you for posting. I am sorry about the small group of rude entitled people that thought it was ok to make you feel unwelcome. But I am glad you called them out in it. Sadly rudeness is on the rise and it is not OK.
If you don’t feel totally welcome on any cruise; by anyone, it is their problem not yours! Thank you for the review.
Exactly! Live your life how you want. They can’t do anything about it but watch.
You two are an absolute delight to watch! Thank you for sharing yourselves with us!😘
It’s simple. I see a Ben and David cruise video, I watch it. Thank you for opening my mind up to so many cruise lines!
I worked in blu! Glad y’all enjoyed it! 💙
I'm so glad I found you guys. It's great to be brought along and live through you
I'm so happy to see Steph smiling and happy after all she has been through the last couple years. I hope she is doing well!
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!! Thank you gentlemen I appreciate all of your info. God Bless You and thank you!!! 💖🤗💖
Don’t include all conservative people in that way I’m conservative but am also very inclusive of all people.
How could anyone not love you guys! Love watching Ben and David and I’m so happy you’re traveling with Steph!
I love your enthusiasm, it is ridiculously easy to be encouraged to take a trip,by people who really love what they do.
She’s amazing ❤
Wow! Great video gentlemen! I watched all 3 of your videos on the Celebrity Beyond and now I'm really excited for my wife and I to go on our Celebrity cruise. Thank you!!
One of the best cruise review videos I’ve seen! I enjoyed it thoroughly! Thank you 10/10
Aquaclass is worth it for Blu alone.
Same here although the infinite veranda is not my favorite.
Thanks again for an honest and open review. You both do a terrific job of providing observations and some criticism without being negative.
I love
Olive oil but can’t eat the olives.
We had this type of balcony on our Amsterdam to Budapest river cruise back in 2014 on Emerald Waterways and worked very well as a cooler climate.
I feel like I watch every cruise channel out there and you two are the best! You give great information, and above all else you make me smile. I agree with you on most things as well. I hope I am lucky enough to run into you on one of my many cruises . Good luck to you both!❤
Execellent well rounded review. Great production and commentary.
Now i must go and binge on all your videos!🎉
Love your videos! I seriously appreciate this honest review. I’ve been thinking about booking a cruise for myself and my soon-to-be wife for our 1 year anniversary, and inclusivity/feeling comfortable is HUGE for us. It’s something I will definitely consider as I choose a specific cruise line. Much love from Florida!!
We hope it was just our cruise and a one off as many people are saying they are usually more diverse!
when we were on the Celebrity Solstice, it felt very inclusive to us. We never felt uncomfortable and saw a lot of same sex couples
Great video! Your energy is infectious! Looking forward to cruising along with you guys going forward!
💙💚💜 My 1st Cruise coming up! LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. I'm binge-watching and taking notes for choosing where, which, what and when. Thanks so much!
Wonderful information! We really enjoy your videos and all the details, hitting so many points that others on UA-cam miss. Thank you
You both make me smile every time I watch one of your videos. Thank you. :)
We recently cruised on Beyond and there was a wide age range.
I love all olives! Love your videos gents!
Your videos always brighten my Sunday ❤
That may be one of your best video reviews !! Thanks so much !!
Love your videos. I would be crying to take home that sweet dog. 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Hope the sweet pup is alright. Will never forget finding a trapped dog in the Negev Desert when I was a teenager or the ones I hung out with in Peru.
Shout out to David’s excellent jacket when you were at roof top! ❤
Even though some of them are very old and some are shiny and new, one thing onCelebrity stays the same :
The food is excellent.
The staff is superb.
The overall customer service is amazing.
Every inch of the ship is spotless.
I love those verandahs because they become part of the cabin. Sailed several times in them
Agree that infinite balconies would work better in cold weather cruises than tropical cruises.
I absolutely love your energy 😂 . I love your honesty about feeling “inclusive “ that truly matters when you are traveling
I love your reviews, and David always chooses food I’d pick myself, whereas Ben chooses what my husband would probably have ^^
Celebrity cruises is our favourite cruise line, we feel that it's the best food we've had on any cruise line and we're huge foodies!
David I love your look for supper with the brown jacket and striped top. The colors suit you😊

On my 2022 Christmas cruise on Apex, the people you describe remind me of the following conversation, I mentioned to a fellow passenger; I overheard some young men, describing the importance of the" right fraternity, for future high level jobs." The fellow passenger, described the whole cruise as being "The Establishment!"
The prior year's Apex 2021 Christmas cruise, the shoreside boarding staff, described the passengers as being, "very, noticeable affluent."
I like how detailed and in-depth this review is. It’s very useful.
Love the solstice class!
@@kelsiemcveety999 I will be trying the Eclipse in early 2024 for the first time. I am also sailing on the Beyond later this year, on 11/13/23.
First off I love your dad jokes!! You 2 are so funny!! Second, thanks for the tour looking at booking the Beyond for this summer!!
Maybe try a Med Summer cruise next time
Such a great review. I've been thinking about a Celebrity Cruise. Thank you.
That poor dog just wanted some food, water and kindness. I wish he had received some food.
I'm with you Ben on the olives 🤢 The cruise looks fab! Another amazing review. Love you guys.
Never been on Celebrity
Thanks for the brutality
I also want to compliment you for including Steph with you on your cruises. You are such good friends to her ❤👏😊
I love the Beyond and other Edge class ships. I am scheduled for my second Beyond cruise in Oct.
Agree, we travel with our gay friends and never encountered any problems…. Hopefully it’s a one off
Growing up my parents gave us our own can of black olives on our birthday. All my family loves olives. I with you David. 😊🫒
im going on my first cruise in alaska for a princess cruise in may. ive watched a bunch of your princess cruise videos and theyve really put me at ease. i was nervous before, because i didnt know what i was getting into, or if i'd even enjoy it. thanks for all your efforts, i almost feel familiar with the ship now even though i havent been on it yet! lol. and the amount of fun you have is clearly evident in your videos
That dog said he's yours now, please go back for him 💙
You’ve had me laughing aloud! Love your humor. Love your videos! I’m in LOVE with your fantastic accents!!
I think you have misunderstood. We have rated the actual physical ship a 8/10 - the venues, décor, cabins etc . We don't do a overall score.
David's brocade jacket is a stunner. Fits perfectly too.
