I ride the Harley Davidson Low Rider ST for nearly 5,000 kilometers non stop and give it a quick comprehensive review. I compare the bike against a Road Glide tourer - and let you know my thoughts on which one I would take on a long haul motorbike ride if I had to decide. - Комедії

Dude don't even tell me your going to Sturgis this year.....Holy fuck man
💪♥️#391♥️💪
He announced that a couple months.
I just put Bassani tru duels on my electraglide
"the middle of my back is killing me, and my legs are aching"
next breath
"the ride is super comfortable"
LOL!!!
Most people would say when a bike looks as good from the factory why touch it , but Harley themselves want you to alter there bikes your bike is now at its best in your eyes and also mine plus Harley will look at your inspiration & maybe use some of it on future models . Good job Danny !!
I see why Austin's are known to be a tough lot . To put up with flies like they have to live with down under would take some character. Hats off to you Danny .
Oh yeah. The flies are extremely friendly pretty much anywhere outside a major city. Where Danny went to, the flies own that land. We are merely visitors.
I was thinking there might be a dead animal nearby…crazy amount of flies.
Flies are everywhere in Australia...
@F1JV nah no dead animal. Thats just our flies. If enough land on the back of your shirt they will try to take you away. Crazy stuff happens here in Australia.
My best friend for more than 50 years has just bought a road king all Black out 2023 your Are such an inspiration dear mr Hayes our trip this year goes too northern Sweden we live in Denmark 4000km in 7 dayes i drive a sportster from 2014 💪
Having hand guards is a good thing. Having them look that good and go with the fairing is even gooder! 😎
Yes I think your evaluation of the two bikes is spot on . Ride on Danny boy
Nothing beats the Road King with the riding you do.
Awesome review Danny, Now as I am getting older the hand wind guards are an awesome idea, I must get some for my bike too, Thanks again Brother, Living the dream. CHEERS !!!
A great review, I've got a 18 fat bob and it handles superb, nothing worse than getting a face full of bugs with an open face, and it's a lot safer, just got a screen installed to eliminate the insect problem, some of them anyway...
Keep up the good work, you're honesty is you're best attribute....., enjoyed our brief chat at G.H.D.
I love your bike too Danny… you keep saying it’s ‘not everyone’s cuppa tea’ and what not but it’s fucking mint mate!! I can tell how much you love it so be proud man.. it’s a fucking masterpiece! ❤
Got my low rider st earlier this year, 4000 miles across UK France and Switzerland, I adore the damn thing, I am 190 cm and 90kg, moved the pegs forwards and took the tall seat, fits me perfectly
Good comment on the tools. I carried tools on my carb’d 88, but I don’t on my 2023 SGST. All I have is zip ties
Hey Danny!
Looked like them flys was loving ur Alpine Stars jacket too.
Big Time agree 100% that a FLTR is the best for a long haul
Danny between getting this bike with these performance oriented mods and your switching to dope high end safety gear has me jealous for the first time. Have a dyna with bassani, tune, suspension, fairing and always ride with a quality jacket and helmet.
Too many people buy a streetglide to ride 100 miles a month and are more concerned with looking cool then going fast. It dont look cool when your being passed.
I have the Lowrider S, basically same bike without the bags and west coast fairing.
I'm 5'8" and hated the bars for the same reason. After changing the seat I put 14" Biltwell t bars with a pull back. Was like a different bike mate.
Just an idea when you come to working your bar position out. Good luck.
I have the same bike stage two thrashin pipe , I put HD forward controls . Also change my bars from 6.5 to 9.5 thrashin so much better . I also have a road glide 128 with Olin front and rear, you are right it is more comfortable but not as much fun . I am getting 134 torque it is very fast and lighter ST .
Great insight on the bike Danny. Man those flies were fucking crazy!
Just watched this and got hungry so had some fish n chips ..unfortunately couldn’t order $1:80 of chips those days are long gone …!!
Love the review 👍
Hey Danni. Have u noticed the orange muck on your rear brake calliper and swing arm (saw it in ur video when demoing the exhaust note). I’ve had this and it’s from the swing arm filling with water and then leaking out rust-coloured. Nice! Be great if u brought it up with Colin? Cheers
The stereo system how did you find it compared to the road glide system
The hand guards are a great idea for riding in winter.. I opened mine up a bit more to make them wider.. Now I can ride comfortably during winter with fingerless gloves.
When u trip, you put your hands down to brace your fall right? If you've ever crashed a bike, you'd know your hands are the first thing to touch the ground. In a low speed crash forget a helmet, a simple layer of denim/leather/fabric at a minimum to protect your skin is most important. No reason for fingerless gloves especially in winter.
All you need is to switch the bars to the Thrashin Supply high bend bars, they have 5.5 inch pullback or rise.
I put the 4.5 inch risers from harley-davidson to correct the same issue on my 22 fat boy and i also added a better seat.
How much did it cost to buy? I'm considering buying one../ greetings from Sweden
It’s great seeing you enjoying your new motorcycle Danny !! Keep smiling 🙂!!
I liked the teaser you dropped at the end. Keen for that one Dan.
I love all your bikes but the Road King is my favorite.🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thanks Danny
Really enjoying the El Diablo build and journey
Stay safe
Some how I think Colin would disagree with the stage 2 comment! 😏
The flies were shitting me so bad I would have lost my shit. Bike sounds so good. Bloody flake should be 130 140 bucks everywhere especially on straight roads being back at least buck 10 Melb to Geelong.
Can't wait to see the Surgis vlogs hope Perry is tagging along with you.
Would you ride a bmw r9t I think you would enjoy it
You need to do the FXLRST Danny!!!! You can get risers no problem. LOVE the ST, I will watch all your ST videos 10 times over😊
My guess on the Diablo damage from the crash would be $8k USD. How close am I ? I am impressed how well you handled it mentally. You're doing good.
And because its a insurance claime it will be around 10k hahahaha😅
Thanks for my 50th Birthday wishes Danny. Its Gary with the Bmw r1200rt. Sarah said no problem bye the way. Over the moon with it though,😊 so thanks again. Really hit my heart strings
Again, Danny, U need to try the fwrd controls in that bike….👍🏻
I have the 2022 Lowrider S just put in the same cam set up as you, differant pipes, Vance and Hines, the bike rips!! having a blast with this one!!!
I love your office set up. Shelving is open and your display looks good 👍
After the Road King ,depends on the components,M8 no worries .
Cool looking bike awesome, you were parked near me at brighter days and I didn’t even realise it was yours 😂. Very nice champ
Not long for Sturgis 👍 hope too see you there 😉
Thank about advices, I will ride a Goldwing for Long Haul.
Great Vlog Danny!
Yea the california on got 140 to 150 on the autobarn In UK ,
Great video Danny, looking forward to more on Sturgis, take care out there guys...
Imagine how much h more busier Sturgis will be if he goes this year.....I'm already crazy excited, and seriously thinking about going from Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh
@@michaelmitchell5909 He did mention on this premier chat if anyone wants to meet him, Parry and Matt Laidlaw at sturgis, so I'm assuming he's there
Very cool, gonna try to be there
I've been considering making some videos of my motorcycle rides. What settings do you use on your GoPro to get such great shots when you are on the road?
you choose
I’ve got a 2019 Ultra with a full system & a Woods cam & also have a 2022 Low Rider ST. I rode around Oz on the Ultra & done 500 odd k days on the ST. The Ultra is much better for long hauls. Having said that, I reckon the ST is the best Harley that I’ve ridden.
Recommend the Thrashin risers?
Yea I have a 21 ultra and has fueling reaper 482 moves pretty good for a big bike! Plus I ride 2up a lot so seems like I have the right bike. Do love the st though
I think this will be on the market for sale soon
Herritage Softail without a dought ,
Just like the one in Newzealand
See you in Sturgis!!!
Oh dear, I must be a fool then. I've only got a stage 1 and a slip-on on my Sport Glide. But I do still love her. She cruised across the Nullarbor so sweetly ... luv ya.
Awesomeness input and damn I can’t get to meet everyone,,, aghhhhh next time 😎😎😎😎
That’s awesome test ride 👏👍
I love my St. After doing a stage 2 i get horrible gas milage lol
Why don't you show your crashes did you fuck up or hiding something like dangerous move
Anyone know what modular furniture Dany has in his office/home? , looks like you could add modules on the go. I need that.
Danny....do i saw the orange shit on your rear break???.
I told you in the last vlog i had a brand new Sportgilde. In 1000km orange rust water was running left and right over the rear break and rear brake. The dealer sprayed those shut with window sealant?! There is a cap in the rising tube of your swingarm.....that's where it runs out after rain!!! Also, with me, the front fork was faulty! Stick slick!!! That means the fork sticks. When you push it in, it sticks there.....when riding, it feels like a bumpy horse! Solution. SKF seals and Hyperpro springs set and the right oil in it!
" THEY SAY, he was the inspiration for the ROAD WARROIR." But the truth is, we know him as M $ B. A true grit kind of bloke, who doesn't Winge much !!! 👍😎👍
I saw your Sturgis being flashed. I live in the Philippines and will be making the trip to Sturgis from LA for bit over three weeks of riding.
I love the new blue. Don't care about how special it is.
Had to put that carrot out tgere aboit Sturgis... will you at least let us know if you plan any meets out there. Riding from Canada and would like to say Hi.
nice steed but that exhaust is ruining it for me. it just aesthetically doesnt belong. I would put a jekillandhyde exhaust instead. you get three notes with just a push of a button. just a constructive criticism
Are those flies a normal thing, they would drive me nuts.
Welcome to Australia
That's nothing.... Wait till summer & you'll end up with them up ya nose & in ya mouth.... Ya end up choking & gagging🤮🤮🤣😂🤣😂
Sturgis eh, look forward to those vlogs, gonna be awesome.
Marine 1
Sturgis here we come bulk atmosphere 🎉 awsome little vlog keep up great vlog ya little beast champ
Thats a lot of damn flies 😂
Have you tried going back to your stock seat for a better reach to your bars? I found the Saddleman's push you back about 1"
Sub 49 years old take the Lowrider !
LIVING LIFE , that’s the headline here folks!!
what changed with the trusty comfortable Burleigh bars ?? you had so many big miles on them , with your road king ??
Nice one mate!
Danny remember if you add more power to the bike you have to upgrade your transmission
Upgrade the compensator and that’s about it.
is there any fly's in Austarlia?
Hi Danny, hope you get to read this. You should get marine one back up to speck. It’s the bike we’ve all seen you on the most and I honestly believe it sounds the coolest by far. All your bikes are cool af but I have to admit the road king holds a special place in our hearts that can never be overtaken.
Also I have a suggestion for a vlog that I know nobody is expecting but would be super cool. A tour from the north of Mindanao (the most southern island of the Philippines) to the south on marine one. The Philippine people all understand English and most can speak it well. The people of the Philippines are well known worldwide for being accommodating, friendly and the happiest cultures in the world. Mindanao cops a bad rep that needs dispelling. Much like Mexico I’d say. A few bad people who call themselves Muslims have earned this area a bad reputation for no good reason and if a person such as yourself was to travel through this island people world wide would see that a humble traveler such as yourself can travel freely in one of the most beautiful places on earth without any problems. And just maybe a few more people can see that Muslims are a peaceful and friendly people who have all the variations of culture the same as Christian cultures do. Some are strong believers and others are just brought up with that culture in the background. Just so you know it’s also worth noting that the vast majority of Mindanao (and the rest of the Philippines) is mostly Catholic. Not that religion is in anyway a focus of everyday life there (much like Aust or India for example). I think it would be a worthwhile adventure that could point out how friendly people of different cultures can be and just how beautiful the Philippines is as a destination.
Thanks for reading this if you do Danny. I know I’m totally hooked on watching all your vlogs from all over the world to the point of not even watching tv at all anymore. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through watching your amazing adventures. If you don’t do this suggestion no worries it’s just an idea. When I retire I’ll be doing it myself 😊
how much you you need to spend to bring a Harley to these specs?
❤❤❤
Mate, you take on a long haul whichever bike is better at the job. So, comfort, consumption, wear and tear on components, all play their part, as I'm sure you already know having done many long haul trips. It must be so difficult having a choice of bikes, you poor bastard!😂 I've only ever been able to afford one at a time, so my sympathies in your "struggle" to choose from your stable are somewhat limited. Only kidding mate, you've worked fvcking hard to get where you are, and you deserve what you have.👍🇭🇲 Nanoo nanoo, and Danny? Try not to fall over, huh?😂
I can confirm his comment about travelling light..just did 2000+mile trip, didn't need 3/4 of the shite I took with me. (Mainly clothes) - So on my next 2000+mile trip in couple of weeks..will pack a bit lighter. **Oh the Memphis Shades handguards, have saved my life as well...deflected a pheasant from hitting my brake lever @ 50+mph in a right turn...they also do a great job @ wind defection.. ;)
Change it to the road glide specks
So is the OG paint scheme going due to the repairs?
I wouldn't ride in Australia; those flies are relentless!
for little boys that may all be true. for the big boys only the Road Glide
If you need bars, Lucky Dave’s Lucky 13s. They’ll have the pull back you’re looking for.
Good luck.
Depends on how bush you going to go doesn't it ?
Sturgis 23?!!!!!! ❤
Get a street glide plate. To put under the risers. Be about 2 1'2 inches.
so much happyness
Danny make sure u let us know what u go with on the handle bar set up to make you're ride more comfortable, the sound of the bike is just the best.
💯 agree, this bike is the pinnacle of Harley Davidson from 2022 forward
Thanks for the opinion! I can't find the video where you got hit by the car..? Also am looking forward to a Sturgis video. Thank you, I love your inspiring videos!
MDB......... I can't find that helmet anywhere ??? Help me out DUDE!! Mark from California
They should look into the oil consumption as well.
Not everyone can offord to drop a cam and thousands of dollars into a new bike that cost us a ton . So calling us a fool make a rich man call us a popper
pauper
Tankls mommmm
Y
All Right!…Sturgis, South Dakota
🤠👍🏽
You of to the Sturgis rally, South Dakota?
Great review but the flies are driving me nuts.
Was that Itchy Boots that rode by?
I see that on the latest episode of Lavi and Ollie ,you get a mention ,when they find one of your stickers in Panama.
For those who don't know ,lavi and Ollie are attempting to be the youngest couple to circumnavigate the globe.
