  • A child's environment is the biggest teacher, and we all want a nurturing play space for our children, particularly in their early years.
Here I talk about some elements that I find very important to include in my son's environment. These are not really things to buy, but just things I try to be mindful about.
These are the 4 things I touch upon in this video:
    1. An element of art
    2. Self sufficiency in one or two areas, like picking their own clothes, take their own snacks, water, plates and cups.
    3. Some empty space to use as they wish.
    4. A sense of responsibility, either for a plant or pet (other than themselves)
My other video about setting up a play space:
    • Setting up a play area...
The etsy shop that sells the logs for open ended play (there are many such shops, this is just the one I used)
    www.etsy.com/shop/Treemaginat...
Birds poster printable from Chickieandroo www.chickieandroo.com/product...
Let the conversation start, I would love to know what you think is nice to have in a child's play area.
    Thanks!
    A little about me:
I'm Vidya, a mom to a 4 year old little boy. When I'm not stepping on Legos, I make videos about pregnancy and new mommyhood. I would love for you to join me on this journey!

Hey vidya you are raising your child beautifully and sharing your ways to help us to grow our babies to toddler and then child. Watching your videos when I was 8 months pregnant and now my baby is 18 months old. I have learned soo many things from you . Thank you for sharing videos. We will be soo grateful if u share your videos more often so that we can incorporate things in our kids timely. I know you are also busy in raising ur child but 2 videos in a month will be great for us. Thank you soo soo much for your videos 💖😊

Hey the point about some empty spaces is so true... my son may at many points of his play may need containers or spaces and he may just threw the stuff there for his play. So I had no option but to provide him with what he needs. 🙈
I have a basket of recycles. Some empty trays, containers, bottles, boxes, covers,... etc
awed by the concept of element of art in their space. Will definitely try that🤗

Hi Vidya, love how you incorporate such beautiful little things into viks play area. Those Etsy wooden logs are so so beautiful! My son is obsessed with spray bottle since he turned 2 years old and he loves to spray and clean everything ever since he got a spray bottle 😂
