sJan your videos go from strength to strength. What is very heartening to me is that Paul despite his protestations is a scholar and the breadth and depth of his learning is really inspiring. What strikes me is that I was a Muslim before I ever realised it especially the tenet of Taweed the non divinity of Jesus pbuh and that all I needed was to discover the faith which fitted and confirmed my understanding of the nature of Allah SWT. In a way I am glad and more confirming that it was instinctual rather than academic that brought me to Islam. Keep up the great work as this is dawah pure and simple and should give even the casual observer food for thought. Mashallah. Just a quick question is Paul now a Muslim?

Mainstream islam doesn't support these deviations like shrine worship and shirk etc. Sufi islam is not accepted as a whole by followers of mainstream Islam. You would find many following Quran and Sunnah, there's no confusion amongst mainstream scholars regarding Islamic practices. As for ignorant muslims, there are ignorant non practicing religious people all over the world. You can really say these deviations are accepted in Islam. There's a great pushback against these biddahs

Shrine worship is a very bad example as this is not sanctioned or legitimised by the scholars as opposed to the Catholic Church legitimising so many things. "pagan" philosophy is also a weak misnomer. The difference is the Muslims didn't take on the beliefs and practices of the ancient Greeks, like the Catholics did, but rather they used rational and logical methods to prove and defend monotheism.

Hi papageno, You're wrong. I'm Muslim and I read Quran everyday in Arabic and English translation. There are translations of Quran in any language you want. Read at least a few chapters of Quran and you'll find out how easy to read and understand.

Mainstream islam doesn't support these deviations like shrine worship and shirk etc. Sufi islam is not accepted as a whole by followers of mainstream Islam. You would find many following Quran and Sunnah, there's no confusion amongst mainstream scholars regarding Islamic practices. As for ignorant muslims, there are ignorant non practicing religious people all over the world. You can really say these deviations are accepted in Islam. There's a great pushback against these biddahs

Shrine worship is a very bad example as this is not sanctioned or legitimised by the scholars as opposed to the Catholic Church legitimising so many things.
"pagan" philosophy is also a weak misnomer.
The difference is the Muslims didn't take on the beliefs and practices of the ancient Greeks, like the Catholics did, but rather they used rational and logical methods to prove and defend monotheism.

You're wrong. I'm Muslim and I read Quran everyday in Arabic and English translation. There are translations of Quran in any language you want. Read at least a few chapters of Quran and you'll find out how easy to read and understand.
