Great video. My wife and I took a weekend vacation in 2008 to see these 2 attractions.
Well worth the trip, Glad you got to see it! Have you had the chance to see the Railroad Museum of PA in Strasburg?
thanks
glad you liked it!
I really love this video and style. My kids and I recently visited the curve and are looking at coming back. (I've been a few times now).
I do a lot of videos on the Hoosac tunnel in western, MA. Herman Haupt (Thompson's partner in designing the curve) was chief engineer on the tunnel in it's early stages. Fun connection between two of my favorite RR entities!
Keep up the good work!
Yes i would like to come again Been to Scranton as well and toured the rail yards and had a train trip as well
Scranton, Strasburg, Reading, theres multiple places that celebrate the Rails here. I aim to do a few more as I get the opportunity. Hope you get the chance to see some yourself!
howdy im impessed with this
glad you liked it mate, more to come! PA has a very rich history with the Railroads
Nice video. Thanks Casey. I bet, the all mighty algorithm, will like this comment
I'm sure as it will enjoy seeing responses LOL
come to williamsport, little league. im always on the pitt line. i stay at the tunnel inn in gallitzin. the rr followed the indian trail over the mtn from altoona to cresson. they arent open past 5pm these days so your luck on seeing amtrak is a no go.
Bummer about the amtrak :( but Williamsport is absolutely on the list. I have seen the Little League World Series and been to the museum, it is a much less commercial feel to baseball, like that is how the game is intended to be. Thanks for watching! Hope to add more like this one soon!
