Well yeah. Thats the whole idea. Everyone wants something different. The 50 states are all supposed to be DIFFERENT to support 50 different ideologies. That way everyone can live in a state pretty close to the government they want.
It's the education system that is dividing America with universities students to hate their country and school trying to get students to hate each other through CRT.
So many kids don't pursue higher education because of cost. Even us older adults who want to take classes or get our degree don't because of the cost. I hope his free university works, I really do.
honestly, I think it would be better if we had a national education program. Reading is reading, no matter in which state you live. If you move with your family for work and your child has to go to school in another state, it sort of messes things up for them. It seems to add more work if we have 50 different education programs as opposed to just one. Right now every state and every district is reinventing the wheel, in terms of what is being taught. In addition, the whole system would work better if there were non-government affiliated, practicing teachers who were in charge of the education standards, not government officials or office workers who haven't seen the inside of a classroom for over 30 years!
Would templates be a good idea for the kind of situation u mentioned? If Dept of Edu had systems in place that did work, then could those systems or instruction sets (along w/ template supporting documents) be sent to each state's Dept of Edu?
@@Conversation_Guy well, they sort of did this with the Common Core, though states that opted out have ended up creating curriculum similar to common core. So, let me give you an example. There is supposedly a science to reading . I had to take a year long course in this as a teacher. I moved and now I have to take basically the same course in Virginia (though the Texas course was more rigorous, but basically the same idea). So, if all these states are recognizing that there is a science to teaching reading, the science should be the same in all states. Why waste money and time by having states do their own thing? It really does not make sense to me!

You haven’t addressed that universities don’t fund their students, local or out of state . The advantage of federal department of education, they regulate the interest rate and have the loans available, the states only regulate up to high school. Things are on the federal level for a reason, states cannot help for higher education, only at the federal level will they control interest gouging.
Do you believe this will affect anyone already in a CBE program. I’m planing on graduating next year and worried if anything such as termination of CBE programs is a possibility. Additionally you mentioned funding will dictate what schools have to teach essentially does this mean CBE is going to be affected negatively?
Yes. Remember, not free, TREASURY funded. Difference: My tax goes to that too, among other important things, like services throughout any AMERICAN city.
HS does not give you the high skills and go straight to the industry. You will have to do a HS internship in a well know college or better yet a university with a well established reputation.
Dude, vocational schooling is still around. Where do you live? I can learn vocational skills at my local community college, auto mechanic, electrician, welding, etc. Hell, I can go to a union apply and they will school you 3 to 4x a week, give you a job, and pay at minimum $20 per hour. Where do you live that this isn't available?
Student loan forgiveness was given to almost 800 plus Americans and would have benefited more if Conservatives and their groups won't have blocked it. I guess giving my tax dollars to billionaires in tax cuts is ok, but helping working folk was to much.
Student loan forgiveness was just buying votes and avoiding responsibility. If you couldn't afford college, you shouldn't have taken the loans and you absolutely don't have the right to push your debt onto someone else because you couldn't handle it.
Amen to that. I wish him a lot of good luck. Those private universities do not deserve the funds that they have. They have just ruined their graduates and the rest of society as those graduates enter the world.

Thank You so much for the video!! It’s comforting to hear that funding for low income families will not be affected. As a Single Mom finances can be a true struggle. FAFSA doesn’t cover everything, but at least it gets you started. And there is always the option of working on the side until you achieve your set goals. That’s what I did when I was in school. This thing about College Forgiveness. It’s not good. It doesn’t teach you responsibility. There is a sense of achievement when you are actually able to pay what you borrowed. Great for your credit history. It teaches you money management. Forgiving a debt. Is Not realistic to real life. It’s terrible work ethic. I think it’s unfair for the many that didn’t get their Loans forgiven and Schools should be focused in educating anyway. Politics and or any kind of Ideology should not have any control over how they are run a school. Federal ..State .. Locals- it really matters who is Leading.. not only in Government but in Educational Institutions. May we always fine people in these places that are just and fair to everyone
DEI wasn't actually implemented for college students. Grant funding was made available to colleges that made DEI part of their admin. When the funding ended, the DEI departments closed. Same for corporate settings who were participants in the 2030 Agenda plan of the WEF/IMF. It's associated in part with open borders that are happening in western nations aka NATO nations.
A very real fear are the recent updates in FAFSA for mixed status families (families with children born in the United States but parents who do not have a SSN) Are their family's information still safe through FERPA?? There is literally a checkbox with "I do not have an SSN" followed by questions of phone number, email, and home address and if a student does not enter any parent information they are only eligible for UNsubsidized loans. This is setting back first generation students by creating financial barriers to education. Students who ARE US citizens!
Unrecognized degrees (of the one-year sort) are not worth investing in; recognized college diplomas are, for example those achieved through international baccalaureate programmes like those on offer in the urban regions of Quebec and similar states around the world.
Can the states get rid of the standard test. I know in TX; we have the STAAR. I have spoken with teachers and they are teaching students to pass the test; not necessarily teaching core curriculum. Just curious what other people think?
Respectfully, I disagree with a few points. While I agree that societal issues take up a large part of campus life, I do not believe the universities as institutions overall, are inherently left-leaning. The students, maybe. I believe Trump is anti anything that is anti Trump, so I do believe the "education system overhual" will be very detrimental to any voices not right-leaning. As to the dissolution of Department of Education, my biggest concern is that one of their most important roles is to protect minorities rights for equality in education. This country has a documented history of racism and misogyny in educational opportunities.
You're being intellectually dishonest to think that the education system is not the only truly systemically racist institution in the USA. Continuation of the status quo is to continue with racial and socioeconomic oppression. The real argument is how do we fix the education system and thus the oppression. School choice will be one of the most consequential forces to upend current system. I haven't heard compelling arguments for keeping the department of education, it seems to be adding unnecessary layers of bureaucracy.
@@bigadog2k9 I agree with what you are saying on some levels. The education system is NOT the only truly systemically racist institution in the USA at the college and university level. Because I do see this in the state I live in I believe we need DEI and Affirmative Action, and once we are in show what we know. That is my opinion. Thank you for sharing your opinion. @@sharonkaysnowton there are inequities in our society but the idea that policies are the solution is a good question to ask. If greater than 50% of public school educated minorities are forced to go schools that provide "below grade level" education, that system is racist. There will always be racism, sexism, homophobia but the impact of those factors is highly variable and does not create real oppression. If you have a credential, that will generally guarantee your success in most sectors. I do think dei and HR enhance our country, but overemphasizing DEI creates a major division in our country.
That is the best thing in core education. I graduated from the university in 1991 with a BA in Theology and a masters in phycology which I graduated in 1993. We were taught core education not this BS crap they are teaching now. So going back to basics is the best option.

You'll still be able to attend wherever you want. If government grants go to the state level it's possible that some states will only grant funding if you stay within the state, or online... and not pay for you to leave the state, live on campus and attend a school elsewhere. Not that you can't attend... just that your state might not pay for you to do so. And if it is at the state level... it will be up to the states to make those decisions. So you'd likely see different policies in different states. We'll see what happens. It's likely going to take a long time for any big shifts like this to happen.

1. Yes, absolutely get Affirmative Action and DEI out of higher education. These things are dying in the workplace, and if they aren't needed there, then they should not be needed in the institutions of higher learning that are qualifying people to work in those workplaces. 2. I think that financial aid should be available for people to study the core curricula for their individual majors. However, students should pay out of their own pockets for electives that interest them. So if someone values knowing about astrology, the influence of space aliens on ancient civilizations, underwater basket-weaving, etc.--or even current leftist, hot-button topics like CRT and gender studies, etc.--they will still be able to pay someone to teach them these subjects.
Colleges in America should be FREE!!!! We are the richest country in the World!!! Invest on the kids in America so the future generation will sustain the richness of this country in every angle.

Our “politics in schools” helps protect people and move society forward through education and good practice, not intimate and single people out hindering human decency and good civil conduct. Making space for everyone is how our country has gotten as far as it has over previous decades. Trump is aiming to make our education system like him: A Chaotic Failure.
It's already a failure. My brother in law has a billion dollar company and my lifelong friend has nine businesses employing over 1,800 people. They would tell you how difficult it is to hire kids just out of college, and it's the worst they've ever seen. Is your head in the sand?
The collages are only considered " left leaning" in the fact that they promote open dialogue and sharing of ideas. This leads to advancements in technology and societies quicker than the more conservative " that's not quite how we do things " approach. Just talk to students who have been raised and taught with the mindset that Trump is going to require. You will find many find they are unequipped and often intimidated by the advancements taking place around them.
Yup
Check your spelling of colleges.
American University already exists in DC. Who wants to move to DC to go to college. If he wants to address corruption in school funding, he needs to look no further than Florida takes federal funds for charter schools. They also invests funds in the stock market. They have mostly charter schools that run from what parents pay in tuition and property taxes. Florida schools is triple dipping their finances and still have crappy schools in low income areas.
Bingo! Its really awful what DeSantis has done to FL schools. We don't have many charters is my county but the private schools are popping up to get that money.
1:52 correction… AA did make it “easier” for admittance. It made it possible for minorities, including women, to receive a fair chance. That was the purpose… there is no leg up other than simply being considered despite not being male and not being white. HUGE difference.
How are states supposed to pay for all this?? Our local taxes will sky rocket.
Federal money also comes from taxpayers.
We already pay for it, the tax dollars that go to State Universities. Also he said money mismaother colleges.
the founds will be the same, just that instead of washington burocrats, it will be the states, and its great, it didn't even exist prior to jimmy carter and american system worked better
Don’t be stupid. Listen to the plan
Never take advice regarding educational institutions from a man who owned a bankrupt university.
So, at the "Free Uni" students and professors will be screend for ideological background before they're accepted/hired?
Will the American University be in physical locations around the country or will it be online?
Not sure how it will work but I'm sure there will be online options. Potentially both online, and on campus options.
No one will want a degree from the general school
The divided states of America
Well yeah. Thats the whole idea. Everyone wants something different. The 50 states are all supposed to be DIFFERENT to support 50 different ideologies. That way everyone can live in a state pretty close to the government they want.
When was it united?
Always has been. FYI, I live in California and a lot of our dollars have gone to poor red states.
@@tamaragrottker7677 Hey, this was a very interesting set of messages. It was a bit of an eye opener to me. Hopefully, Ryan makes more videos where we could possibly talk more about education & related topics, subjects here. :) I find education a necessary, required path to fulfill goals. I spoke with a gent who's a bit older than myself about some things & he reminded me of the previous few generations. He said they didn't have internet. So they'd have to get real resourceful w/ whichever library they could get to & if their parents could afford it, mail order or otherwise buy encyclopedias. I was kind of at a loss of words when he said that because I've bn on internet all my life just about. I'd probly have thought about things & wrote about them a whole lot more instead of consulting google. I used to consult google day in & day out. I still do but not neearly as much.
Sure hope he doesn't dumb down even further the education system public or private!!!
Trump didn't cause the dumbing down of schools. The Left did that.
Of course he will!
My son is a hs senior and I am really interested to hear all the details when they become available.
Just subscribe. If the University actually happens, I'll make sure to drop a video.
Ryan, My children (triplets) are starting High School next year. What do you recommend I start doing to get funding/grants for their college education?
I actually just launched a new program where I teach my full process for how to get Grants and Scholarships. I'd love to sponsor your triplets with the program if they're willing to keep me posted with their scholarship success. Shoot me an email if that's something you'd be interested in. (ryan@9monthgrad.com)
So what is going to be taught at the "Free" university? Is it going to be like "Trump University? " I believe that a lot of funding will be lost if your funding is directed by the state only. Thank you for your take on the possible actions that may occur.
Right wing stuff. They only have issues with left wing stuff.
@@claremcclean3123education is teeming with "left-wing stuff". Education never quite made room for right wing stuff. In fact, I'd day that right wing ideology persist in small programs like rotc and the fraternity/sorority systems. And even those are under constant attack
Yeah, all these finance grads going into Wall Street and investment banks are little Marxists these days!
Pretty funny how the idea of a free accredited education is so appalling to most democratics right now. They only say they want it to draw in votes and then never deliver. at the end of the day they just want to monopolize the education system and use it as a status symbol for their rich elite families. Even if this is coming from trump. At least it's a step in the right direction, and it can always be improved by future Democrat administrations. This is a win for everyone.
I will have to see it to believe it. This is coming from Trump from the failed Trump University.😂😂😂
He owed millions to pay back those he scammed.
@@Andrina-fl9ef He has been busy scamming voters for years and now he will expand his scamming to everyone.
What's your plan?
Actually not even a schooling . Just a scam
His plan is "Bing Bing Bom Bom!"
I don't know how I feel about this. I'm just glad I don't have kids, so I don't have to be concerned about this.
Not sure of your age, but our education system is producing tomorrow's politicians. Your literal future is on the line by NOT caring about this.
Because it’s Trump that’s proposing this
If it was a liberal that you liked you’d be in favor of it even if it’s unrealistic
@IsaiahMiguel Mental health is important. Consider reaching out to a therapist who can help you work through your issues.
Trump wants to close the dept of education.
Feels like Money Laundering
Charter schools ARE!!!! Just like bush jr. used to say... "No Children Left Behiiiiiiiinnnd !!!!!! '
Do you believe this will affect anyone already in a CBE program. I’m planing on graduating next year and worried if anything such as termination of CBE programs is a possibility.
Additionally you mentioned funding will dictate what schools have to teach essentially does this mean CBE is going to be affected negatively?
All signs point to CBE programs growing even more! Feel confident, you should be in great shape.
What’s a fast bachelor to get as an experienced professional that is not too math intensive?
Yes. Remember, not free, TREASURY funded. Difference: My tax goes to that too, among other important things, like services throughout any AMERICAN city.
Why don't they just cut the 💩 and bring back vocational schooling!!!!!!
YES!!! However, I think that would be too much progress.
Don’t vocational schools still exist?
Vocational school still exist.
I worked full time and paid tuition and got my college education in 3yrs. Tuition is tooo high.
Damn! I applaud you!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I'm going back for a second degree, working full-time and paying. You give me hope that I might actually be able to finish.
I have 2 degrees, and haven't found a job in the field I studied, yet.
I hope you're able to find a job in the field you're looking for. Getting jobs can be tough. It's a skill that can be learned and developed.
Very helpful and informative. Thank you.
What about competency-based program? Are those being taken away?
Nope, I predict there will be more CBE programs as time goes on.
Trump wants to fund this by taxing, fining, and suing private university endowment funds. Good Luck with that.
Amen to that. I wish him a lot of good luck. Those private universities do not deserve the funds that they have. They have just ruined their graduates and the rest of society as those graduates enter the world.
Can you tell me if Trump is getting rid of FaFsa? I have a college student's right now, and we need Financial aid. My college student is worried about lossing Financial aid of school.
if he wants people to get an education and get funding he should help those get Highschool diplomas or make it so they can pass certain people who have disabilities can't seem to climb the ladder
Have fun with tariffs 😢
What are the "extra things" universities are teaching that is "bad".
What about HBCUs?
They will more than likely get no funding.
Unrecognized degrees (of the one-year sort) are not worth investing in; recognized college diplomas are, for example those achieved through international baccalaureate programmes like those on offer in the urban regions of Quebec and similar states around the world.
Thank you for making this video.
Can the states get rid of the standard test. I know in TX; we have the STAAR. I have spoken with teachers and they are teaching students to pass the test; not necessarily teaching core curriculum. Just curious what other people think?
That I believe came from GW Bush. Not a great idea (the test). Our State scrapped it years ago. Guessing Texas decided to keep it.
So veterans get applications fees waived among other things if DEI goes away we are included in that
Look at everything that went on with New College in Fl and you'll get a taste of things to come.
Agenda 47 opposes literally everything happening in florida
It's a mess. Smh.
Jennifer, I totally agree with you.
I also see it at the graduate school level. I also see it with higher paying jobs in the USA. I am an educator. Because I do see this in the state I live in I believe we need DEI and Affirmative Action, and once we are in show what we know. That is my opinion. Thank you for sharing your opinion. I found it inciteful.
@@bigadog2k9 I agree with you. Thank you for your response.
That is the best thing in core education. I graduated from the university in 1991 with a BA in Theology and a masters in phycology which I graduated in 1993. We were taught core education not this BS crap they are teaching now. So going back to basics is the best option.
Thank you for spreading facts. I had to hit that subscribe button.
It won't be high quality education.
Do you help w medical degrees in 3 months?
Depends on the medical degree. For example, you can't hack medical school. But you can hack something like Healthcare Management, or Health Science. And 3 months is very uncommon... but I've seen it done with Bachelor's Degrees. Shoot me an email and I'll see if I can help you find a solid path (ryan@9monthgrad.com)
So meaning you can't take another degree from another state?
You'll still be able to attend wherever you want. If government grants go to the state level it's possible that some states will only grant funding if you stay within the state, or online... and not pay for you to leave the state, live on campus and attend a school elsewhere. Not that you can't attend... just that your state might not pay for you to do so. And if it is at the state level... it will be up to the states to make those decisions. So you'd likely see different policies in different states. We'll see what happens. It's likely going to take a long time for any big shifts like this to happen.
yes we need to copy norway schools .... i believe its them who dont give homework.... montessori style education works best..just give school choice with money following the child.... no early start times especially for teenagers, no tests, no grades and NO HOMEWORK...FOSTER NATURAL talents, imagination, curiosity, interests, creativity, thinking outside the box.... let the student learn what its naturally interested in and every child will be a genius ❤❤❤
Where do states get the money?
So make education so small that you could drown it in a bathtub? Just a question.
I wish there was a train for older individuals returning back to school.
Graduating out of an accelerated program went like this - welcome to class ladies and gentlemen get out your highlight markers as you will see this material again next Monday night. Prepare to digest four chapters a week and sit in the chair at graduation and the reality hits you made it through. What's next?
I love this idea of free online college, but am curious how they'll incentivize military service with free college already being made available to everyone?
That's a good point. A lot of people choose the military because of that incentive.
I think it's great as long as the credits are transferable.
hello ryan... can you review atlanta college liberal arts and science.. i currently taking doctorate degree in this institution.. looking forward from your video... thanks
It's not a big deal! Before 1980, education was at the state level... Jimmy Carter started it on the education on tge federal level
For those that already have multiple degrees and want to learn new skills or subjects, I would be willing to pay a small monthly fee to the inline American University to take these classes because I am a nerd. Also, there are many frustrated adjunct professors that struggle to get consistent classes so this may be a good option for them as well.
Online American university sorry
The changes sound good ... !!!
Yes but at what cost. What's the price tag to rewrite history. Close school or make them expensive. Then offer a new education structure that is not based in truth.
WGU
Online free education! Colleges and Universities costs are totally toooo high. They know they can charge any tuition and will get paid through student loans.
My daughter will be starting at a private religion based university. Hopefully she can get more federal funding since they are the opposite of woke.
OMG why did he have to win while my daughter was in the middle of college?
Colleges in America should be FREE!!!!
We are the richest country in the World!!!
Invest on the kids in America so the future generation will sustain the richness of this country in every angle.
Just pay for your own loans though.
Whatever he wants, students will get screwed
No government funding is ok with me. It would force colleges to have training that actually is beneficial to the students career desires. Instead of the classes that are social indoctrinational BS.
Love it all!!! Common sense!!!
Im glad he's changing it!!
Is ridiculous!!! The freedom is over!! THANK YOU TRUMP!!
Trump should get himself enrolled ASAP, his level of knowledge and intelligence is an embarrassment to the globe , as we have all seen.
With Trump's education he got twice the presidency of U.S. and have billions of Dollars.... What intelligent ...!
How can he change history? No more politics??? That’s our entire history..
i voted for Trump, but there already exists a free university.. its called the peoples university or something ..... we already can afford 4 year degrees thru online schools and various community colleges .... thats not a problem.... the problem is the economy, not tuition rates .... let the market take care of itself thru competition...
When God is an array-type variable that contains all the conscious and unconscious minds of the universe plus other properties as defined by traditional religion then clearly, the Bible is the story of people and the word of God, and these truths are self-evident. Neo-Marxist religion is already in control of your teachers and their education. Reading books is crucial to beating tyranny, including Marxism. Mathematics is what we do with that reading. Writing is how we compare the results of reading and math with each other. A psychology industry that makes excuses for not reading writing and doing the math is no help to anyone
Getting rid of the critical race theory within this is literally insane

The federal government should stop involving themselves in funding free higher education. That's not their role.
Odd. Does that mean that the military service academies should be defunded? How about the Federal funding of high tech research and development that many top tier universities work?
Do you have any idea what their endowments consist of? Let them use that money for free higher education.
This time you will qualify after joining the arm forces!!
@@marcusa.rivera6377 I don't think that this message was for me. Since I am a retired USAF Officer, I would say that I not only qualified for military service but also was appointed to the USAFA and graduated in the top 10% of my class. What say you? Do you have a GED?

This was great information. I have a teenager that will graduate in the next four years and we are contemplating on how and where to send her for school. I will share this information with her. Do you have an idea on how long the window will be open for the current FAFSA process?
That's a good question... I don't see it closing any time soon. And if things change, the transition shouldn't be too difficult on the student end. Most of the changes should be on the administrative end.
