- Police released a sonar image of the vehicle on Monday, saying that the car is on its roof at the end of the pier. The brown streaks in the bottom left of the image are remnants of the pier that are in the water. The larger brown mark in the image is the vehicle.
Biggest navy base in the world right down the road at Norfolk. Maybe they can help?
No, these crane guys and divers that have been doing their job consistently for 10-20 years are much better than some navy kids who barely do their rate on a given day. Trust me
@@AP90x I’m talking about the experts in the Navy, there are some. Trust me.
Itsba suicide although a horrible way to go one would think a hand fulls of pills a warm bed tv on and fall asleep and never wake but why the fear of the cold murky waters sharks drowning which take a long time i recently read up to 3 minutes of being aware before passing out? Terrible way than up to 20 minutes to die
Just get some boys from Alabama or Georgia out there in their 4x4 pickups. They'll put a nice long cable on that thing and pull it on out for ya.
Probably correct. It’s not that far from the shore.
EXACTLY!!! I don't think this is rocket science. Get a diver down there, hook it up to a long cable and, like you said, call the boys with the pick-ups to pull it out.
Grappling hook, cable and a couple of those new 450 mercs?
Lol. Guys, the problem is sea water getting into the car. C'mon.
@@TheyCensorUsHere Ya just messing around. Easy.
This is a three ring circus. I have seen recovery in water conditions way worse than this.😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
So agree they do not care who is in there or why actions show that assumptions thay this person wanted to fie makes them less valued without even knowing the person period it's sickening an all disgusting
It's a harsh truth, but it's maybe a wrap. The best they can do is check the cameras and catch the tag to MAYBE identify the unfortunate person thats in the car. No point in risking additional lives. RIP to the person(s). Such a sad situation.
Why would someone commit suicide in such a terrifying way i cant even imagine my goodness a hand full of pills in a warm bed would do the trick
😮 That's not rough seas.. Just like sunken boat recovery, use belows/floats
Why dont you get down there and tell how to?
@@martiedoherty5765 the recovery company could probably use their advise. Expert advise is always needed.
I haven’t seen any info in what type of vehicle it is at least. If they can see the wheels like that and some details during the dive, I’m sure divers could speculate or guess what the car might be. I get rough waters etc. But those close ups of parts of the vehicle should help.
We can send a man to the moon, but…
Never risk a life for someone who didn't care about their like to basically commit suicide. Keep the "recovery" safe for the brave people who care about the safety of others.
And you know it wasn't a medical condition?
Ruthieclarke I liked the way you put it,,,so true
Wonder if they could use a cable to pull it to the shoreline?
@@mothernature8893. Great question !!! I don’t know why they couldn’t have some divers go down and hook up the cable and then just slowly pull it to shore. I guess that’s why they get paid the big bucks 😂
@@EchoCharlieNovemberSeriously what Medical Condition allows you to navigate the opening onto the pier, crash thru Two barriers, hit your brakes & then launch yourself off the end? Looks planned and executed. R.I.P.
Sending Prayers... From all of us Tammy's missing person site... Please call, ADVENTURES with PURPOSE
Are they even still together after the S.A allegation against one of them?
15 feet deep
I'm sorry is it just me but I keep hearing about the car but wouldn't there have been a person in the car What about the person is there a person?
They don't know who is in the car but they won't open it until it is out of the water.
The car occupant is holding his breath.
I’m deathly afraid of the water I almost drowned when I was really young the only thing I see when I look at the water is a big graveyard of people who no one knows are down there and when people are swimming in any water they could possibly be right above a dead body ‼️ Weird I know but it’s the way I feel if I wouldn’t have almost drowned maybe I wouldn’t think that way I was ( 4 ) so it was very traumatizing.
Not sure why the police dept keeps sending their divers into rough, possibly dangerous warers.
The person(s) in that vehicle is no longer in any danger, isn't going to go anywhere.
The riptide must be horrendus at that depth , be safe all who dive.
Plus the water temp is like 40 degrees
V.B. is notorious for the rip tides at any depth.
Divers also have to worry about sharks. Piers are a good place for fishermen, and for sharks to get a potential meal.
The driver deliberately drove off the pier suicide i thought the same piers sharks omg the terror way not a hand full of pills in a warm bed at home i don't know?
Yeah what a thought they'd send in a diver to check on the person on the inside
It’s probably a Tesla that went up in flames and they had to drive it in the water to try and put it out😏🤦🏼♂️
It was due to pier pressure.
Bodies gonna be rotted away by then
no, its cold enough to help with that.
@@duaner.962 yeah good point
Lift bags, four or five of them air filled bags
'TikTok
No body yet, aye'? Maybe it's one of those self driving A.I. cars that was disgruntled & decided to go "Sideways"! 🦧🤣🥃🍺
Or it developed a delusion that it was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and could travel across the water
Should of called one of the divers that finds missing persons , they are trained in all conditions and have sir bags to lift the cars
Call Adventures with a purpose they will get the car out quickly
They could do it but why risk lives ,This can all be done from above with some cameras and some thinking outside the box. But they are very very good at recovering cars.
Are they still together?
See so many of these comments. They only locate, not actually pull them out themselves.
They would have had it done by now
I wonder if any of the windows were broken. If so, it’s unlikely they will find a body now.
Why not send the Navy Seals down to at least retrieve the deceased?
Xant they use float bags ?
Leave them there!!!!!
It's so sad that so many Americans are feeling so completely hopeless.
If divers can reach it can't they open the doors, or break the windows, and bring the occupants up? Or use those remote controlled subs they repair off-shore oil rigs with?
They want to keep the body intacted with the vehicle as much as they can. So thats why they dont want to take the body out of the vehicle.
My thoughts go to the vehicles that have gone over the side of the Chesapeake bay bridge. You’d think!
@@Arkenva its not as easy as it sounds to get the car out of the ocean because its a crime scene. You lose the body you lose the evidence.
that is not how that works🌚
Pro tip, early bird catches the worm .. water was calm when unfortunate incident occurred.
And on another note if a car can do that what are the measures they're creating to prevent this from happening again? that is just sad
What measures do they have to take??? None. Why waste the time and money to what....put up nets? lol This wasn't an accident. Do you think it happens every week?
That’s dumb. Why would anyone waste time preventing someone from driving off a pier? You want the government to control every part of our lives don’t you. So you feel “safe”.
This person deliberately went off the road, across the boardwalk, broke through 2 huge barriers, then onto the pier. This has never happened before in the history of Virginia Beach.
Crab people, crab people...look like crab, talk like people....
15 feet of water how hard is it too hook up a cable and wench it up
Sharks gotta eat!🤡🇺🇸
There is no body it was done by remote control
This sad 😔 its crazy if find the body in it
Sammy Davis Jr, is that you?!
Can’t they use a powerful magnet to lift it up out of the water from a crane?
No smarty the water in there will make it 10times harder to pull it out if they tie a rope they can aswell metal in ocean will stick to the magnet
Artificial reef now
Leve it. Is a reef now.
"When you open that portal to the ocean..." Do they think that the car is watertight? No water has seeped into the passenger compartment?
It's not watertight, but at least the driver's remains and other evidence will stay in the vehicle if all the windows and doors are still closed.
The latest tic tack challenge 😢
whats "tic tack"?
I mean I just wonder what they were thinking while they were driving out there to the end ?? Probably something like ,, Dang they sure need to pave this road , feels like I’m driving across a covered bridge with no cover 😊
