If adaptive cruise control makes you nervous then this might not be the video for you. Chevrolet's Silverado now has the capability to tow with Super Cruise, their hands off, level 2 autonomous driving system. You have to drive on pre-set roads that are programed into the system but once you're on it you can take your hands off the wheel provided you keep your eyes open and on the road. Check out what we thought of our first time towing with no hands. #KBB

Crap, insanely overpriced vehicle. 🤮 💩
“Turn the sucker on” iPhone on her lap. 🙈
I think I’d be too nervous towing to let super cruise run the show for me
Somebody can said me how many models silverado have super cruise, any 2500-3500???
Lyn convincing herself at the end of the video that the robots are fine, was just priceless.
That really is an impressive feature.
You must 'use as directed' 🤨
Adaptive cruise is a great feature that
many were once reluctant to use.
I just don't get the appeal.
Youu did this with such aplomb, Lyn!
Autonomous 'anything' DOES NOT BELONG ON CARS. Period. Not unless the manufacturer will accept 100% of the liability for any accidents. (Which they won't ever do...).
If you are to god dam lazy to pay attention while driving, take the god dam bus.
Do NOT appreicate this channel giving approval for this kind of crap software.
You bring up an excellent point. Mercedes does on their Drive Pilot system. But I agree with you. It’s a slippery slope and seems weird that especially a state like California would allow this feature but is threatening all new cars after 2027 with a speed limiter.
@@lynwoodward9156 Yeah, I don't get CA allowing this either. Don't they also have some pockets of no-driver taxis? Which I think they are having big issues with as well.
I Fully Agree, I Dont want this MF Driving on the Road with Me
Towing with that active would definitely make me nervous😅 I share the concern with the braking with the additional weight. Definitely wouldn't use it in cold temperatures. Great vid Lyn!
Hey Lyn thanks for this video very informative
lol I didn’t even know there was a level 0. I guess my F-150 is a level -1.
It doesn’t really exist anymore in new cars. It’s more for my 87 Montero! 😂
The freeway she drove on was 105 fwy, it would have been interesting to see super cruise interact in the traffic. Does it slow down to a complete stop and pick up speed on its own in traffic?
yes
It’s beyond me why anyone wants this.
SAE L0 includes nothing, SAE L1 is passive systems like Blind Spot, L2 is AEB, LKA. You got that totally wrong
VW's iqDrive has something called "travel assist" that combines adaptive cruise cruise control and lane center assist. On a long highway trip, it works very well. It even takes moderate corners and curves, which is disconcerting the first time you experience it. But you must keep your hands on the wheel. That's how it must be.
I haven’t experienced it for myself but I’ve heard that Cadillac’s Super Cruise is better than what is found in Chevy and GMC trucks. You would think that they would be the same but that’s what I’ve heard.
$78k 😮💨
These autonomous driving features are getting out of hand. They need to be labled as driving aids. NOT replacements. Looking at you Tesla.
Just got a high country 3.0 D it’s so much fun. GM putting In the work.
Great video 😊 would only use super cruise on a road trip otherwise day to day commute is ok without the supercruise
That was funny. However, I can totally relate.
Lyn, kudos for sticking with it for this review period.
Dang, $78k before taxes and fees
5:26 That’s some fun framerate lol
No, thank you.
What color is it?
First!
Wow , our 2015 Tesla has level 3!! And it’s Almost 10 years old .
