Dare you to try the reverse hack squat "Charles Glass style" with your toes on the floor and heels on the platform. Best lower body hypertrophy movement ever imo
Awesome vid! seems like a great piece of equipment. If glute hypertrophy is my goal, would you recommend reverse hacksquats + hip thrusts as the main movements? complimented by single-leg leg press. Also, you probably know this already but if you could add some sort of matt to the footplate you could extend ROM on the reverse hack squats, or you could add some blocks to the shoulder rests as well!
yeah, the other dual leg press/hack squat that I reviewed recently required me to put like a 6 inch block on the footplate to be able to do the reverse hack squat at all haha. this one is much more suited for it without making alterations to the machine.
I would definitely do both bilateral and unilateral variations of the hip thrust, along with something unilateral that places the front leg in a really big/deep stretch (e.g. deficit reverse lunges where you reach waaaaay back with the trailing leg to massively stretch the glute on the lead leg). other than that, adding in your normal squats, hinges, machine work, etc. will get the job done in the end.
the thrust work is nice because it can emphasize those muscles without also emphasizing the quads in the process.
was waiting for this review! great review. i was very curiosu about assembly and space... i guess i can deal with assembly not sure what to do with space. wonder if i can leave it outside and cover it with a tarp :) lol
how much space do you have available out of curiosity? It's not that the machine itself is very large necessarily (it's only maybe a couple feet wide, and then probably 4-5 feet long), but it also has that loading bar on the top which requires some extra space on either end.
@@EnkiriElite ah good point. what if i dont really use the loading bar at the top and use the bar at the bottom bar may save some space.
How would you compare it to the Titan one?
Something like this would be cool to have, but even if it was free space is a consideration.
of course. all depends on what you prioritize when you are setting up a home gym. gotta make trade offs somewhere.

I think I have to give the nod to major fitness
what are u thoughts on single legged deadlifts, or B stance, i go to planet so the most weights i have are 75 pound dumbbells.
I would single leg RDL with that. 75 is pretty limiting when it comes to leg work unfortunately, but high rep split squat, lunges, death march, etc. can be a way to get in some good work with a pair of 75ers.
