This song never sounds dated to me! I can listen to it endlessly. Written by John Deacon, the phenomenal Queen bassist. Freddie worked hard to get the song the way John wanted it. Back when it was released, you couldn't escape it. It was on the radio in the U.S. a lot! I'm so glad you returned to Queen with a fun song! I'm still waiting for Stone Cold Crazy!
Yo GIYS. LOVE YR REACTIONS (and yr appreciation of Queen's music.. All 4 of them wrote #1 chart hits too! I can tell you honestly that your mind will be blown if you play Queen's gospel style "Somebody To Love" (be absolutely sure it's the version Live in Montreal 1981)... it is Freddie's favorite that he ever wrote & you can hardly believe the notes he hits with his 4 octaves, his energy level, his onstage presence & drummer Roger Taylor's out of this world singing voice WHILE PLAYING HIS DRUMS, which is so hard for others to do...just wait till u hear it ! It's clearly one of their best live performances of a song. Freddie is so passionate about music & I believe that's what made him so great was his passion. They all are legends. Do you know Brian May's 🎸 called The Red Special sounds unlike any other because Brian & his father DESIGNED & BUILT THE GUITAR THEMSELVES !! It's made from old wood from their fireplace, a knitting needle, a bike kickstand, buttons & took 2 years to make & then put finishes on the wood. It's the only guitar he played all his life & still does at 75 yrs old ! Please, please react to Queen's Somebody To Love live concert in Montreal 1985, it's pure genius the way Freddie sings & performs it.

Great reaction, Bros. We do love our Queen!! 👑👑 Written by bassist John Deacon (Queen’s secret weapon) MJ encouraged Queen to release it as a single. He loved it!
When the bass player writes the music, they can show how good a bass player they are by writing their own bass riffs. In many bands, the bass player is usually in the background not thought too much about. Here John shows what he was really capable of and to think it was one that nearly got away. If it wasn't for Michael Jackson who pushed Queen to release it as a single, we wouldn't have got to hear this fantastic arrangement. Such a pity John didn't rate himself and his abilities higher. Freddie loved John's work and encouraged him all the way. No wonder he retired when he lost his dear friend Freddie. I am sure he will be realising it was 30 years on 24th November 2021. Any Queen fan will remember this date. Freddie will be forever missed.
With all the Queen you have reacted to, I am surprised you hadn't already done this song. John Deacon really hit a home run when he wrote this one. This is the most purchased/downloaded Queen song of all time. The bass is so dirty on this and takes the lead from the first note, I always love this anthem. Great reaction, thank you.
@@maryannsavage3724 Yes that one is great. John said it was his favorite song to perform live. These guys may have already reacted to that song I didn't check.
🎸💯 "Another One Bites the Dust" was played by (high school, college & even professional teams) bands of the "winners" of sooo many ball games! It's STILL one of my very favorite Queen songs EVER‼🤯🔥
I don't know about anyone else, but this song is so much a part of our DNA after all these years, anytime someone completes a task or throws an empty bottle away, you just might catch them singing the line "another one bites the dust!" I know the saying has been around longer than the song, but everyone I know sings that line to John's beat.
I totalled my car once and when I was at the impound turning over the pink slip this song was playing in the garage. It took what could have been a sh!tty memory and made it hilarious.
I love this great song from the wonderful Queen with the equally wonderful Mr Freddie Mercury. A consummate showman, charismatic entertainer and a fantastic singer with an instantly recognisable voice. I've said this before in other comments but he could hold an audience in the palm of his hand and they were mesmerised, they couldn't take their eyes off him. One of my favourite reactions which you did, guys, is the one on Queen at Live Aid - brilliant. They stole the show there, no doubt about that. Freddie was taken from us far too soon but as far as I'm concerned, he is still here in spirit and always will be. He left us a fabulous legacy of music that will live on for ever - thank you, Freddie. Great reaction, guys, really enjoyed it as I always do. Many thanks.
This was HUGE when it came out - I was fortunate enough to see Queen in concert during this tour! You guys should check out Weird Al's parody called "Another One RIdes the Bus".
My father bought me Queen The Game and Sheer Heart attack for one of my birthdays. I used to have my headphones on sing along driving the dog mad. My late father was a huge Queen and Marley fan. Miss those days. Enjoy it while you are young guys. Brighton Rock from Sheer Heart attack is so different from anything you have ever heard. Please give it a listen it will blow your mind
I remember when this song came out that there was a lot of disco and happy songs on the charts. Then Queen came out with something vicious, it was so refreshing.
Great reaction fellas. John Deacon has came up with what I would are 2 of the greatest bass riffs ever. ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST and UNDER PRESSURE. I have funky song for you by QUEEN. This was the precursor to their "disco" album Hot Space, which is not as bad as many say. Great to see another Queen reaction. Please react to March of the Black Queen. There is no proper video, so a lyric video will do. It is Freddie at his artistic best, and the Bohemian That sort is really just the bastard child of Black Queen. Then react to These are the Days of our Lives. Freddie's final video. You will cry.
The story (from Brian May) goes: during rehearsals John Deacon was playing around on bass guitar and came up with this riff which he kept on playing. They then went for a lunch break, and when they returned to the studio John had forgotten all about it ........... but luckily Roger hadn't!!!!
