These lap times seem incredible. I've only been at it for about 3 weeks, and I just got 2:05 today, which is a huge improvement from my initial 2:15. Getting into the 1:50s seems almost unattainable and I'm wondering if I'll ever get there. Daunting.
You will get there! it's always worth remembering these times are pro laptimes with quali fuel, good setup and optimal conditions. Anything below 2 minutes is a really solid place to be, and you will find that you improve over time step by step the more you practice. Best of luck! 🔥🙌
Do you have a good Force Feedback wheel? Cause the trick with force feedback is that if you relax your arms and just let the wheel turn as much as it offers you before you feel it stiffen it allows you to get the maximum rotation your setup allows in the corners... Also when you exit a corner you need to slowly lessen the angle of your wheel as you apply the gas or you will spin... it's pretty much a dance between gas, break and wheel angles to get max rotation... I'm not some alien, my best lap is 1:56:500 and I really struggle to duplicate it cause sector 1 of Nurburgring is cancerously tricky to run fast... and in a race you just pray you don't spin in that annoyingly slippery Turn 2... Just keep practicing but remember to practice the basics of driving (proper braking, trail braking, proper throttle management, hitting apexes etc) and not just watch the delta of your lap... the time will come... the 2:05 you have has a lot of time to gain, don't worry, it will happen 100%
@@sportschool3537 I managed to hit 2:01:920 a couple of days ago, but am nowhere near duplicating it. I'm more consistently hitting 2:03 than anything below it and it's gotten so frustrating that I've decided not to spend anymore time on it, since there is also a very strong element of diminishing returns in sim racing.- too many hours spent for very little gain. I don't have the temperament or patience for it to spend hours upon hours on a virtual track trying to shave a few extra seconds off, so I've placed my sim gear for sale on the local craigslist. I just got a sim, this is nothing like street driving 😭😭😭 I’m hitting 2:04 right now only a couple hours practice. I had no idea you could EAT the curbs 😂 I put in a few more hours and got it down to 2:00:58. Idk why I started with this track first, every section of the track is like a 3 part deal. Meaning 1 mistake leads to like 5 or 6. For a beginner use the BMW on aggressive setup, up the TC to 6 (just focus on the turns at first forget throttle), and then change tire pressure to 25 rear 24 front. The car hooks a lot better and rotates through corners. It’ll drive more like your road car. For me to get a faster time, I just need to hit the Apex’s. Hey, So in the recent SRO GT World Challenge Europe Esports Endurance Series round here, the pole time was a 52.6 or 52.7 in an Audi with some ballast. If the condititions were cooler and the ballast wasn't there, I reckon the fastest guys would still be looking at 52.0, maybe high 51's for the perfect lap. one of the most boring tracks ever in a sim if you ask me :D thanks for the lapguide, will try out some tips!. I am new to this game, is there some good place to get setups?
Not my favorite track for sure (my favorite is Imola) but not boring... I can find tracks I hate waaaay more like Watking Glen or Zandvoort... one thing I like about Nurburgring is that if you're consistent in your pace you will do very very good in races even if you're not very fast cause people make an absurd amount of mistakes here... I literally finished 4th yesterday while having a best lap that was almost a full second slower than most people in the top 10... but my laps were very consistent
@@sportschool3537 well, I am not so fast at Nurburgring :D but I had a really fun race today at Nurburgring, so I guess its a fun racetrack. I like both Zandvoort and Watkins Glen.. but zandvoort is not that fun to race on (atleast not the few races ive had). the track is too narrow for my taste :)

Are these lap times still the same after all the updates?
Hey, So in the recent SRO GT World Challenge Europe Esports Endurance Series round here, the pole time was a 52.6 or 52.7 in an Audi with some ballast. If the condititions were cooler and the ballast wasn't there, I reckon the fastest guys would still be looking at 52.0, maybe high 51's for the perfect lap. But those times are very much the peak of what is possible 🙂
Me watching this with 2:06 with an x box controller 😬
My fastest lap time is a 2.04 😂😂 I thought that was quick 😂. Fs hahaha
Same here bruv i also have a 2.04 I haven't improved yet 😭. I do 2.05 - 2.10 these days difficult to improve
one of the most boring tracks ever in a sim if you ask me :D thanks for the lapguide, will try out some tips!.

I’m limited by my talent 😢
No you are not mate... You are limited by track time as a fellow acc player... Allow me to say aliens will be aliens... But just put in track/seat time and worry about consistency and car control once you have that you will gain time and can start pushing mate... Go look hoe much srat time the pros and top split guys have its insane
You speak too fast. Difficult to understand for a french guy.
Sorry about that! I have always been a fast speaker so will do my best to slow things down a little bit in future. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Watch the video at 0.75 the speed.... come on dude. you getting a free guide and like to complain? watch it in 0.25 if necessary...
@@theoopsdrivers Hey ! I don't want to complain. I want say to him that he can capt the french public if he spoke more slowly. Then, I like this video and if he wants, he can take into account, it would help. If he don't, I'm OK. He proposes video and I thought that it would be good to have some constructive comments. So it will be the last time I lost with commentary like yours. Thank you and have a nice day.
haha the french have the same problem to me as a dutch guy you guys are speaking in 2x speed in your native language
no offence tho
I absolutely have to watch it at 0.75 speed, otherwise my brain cannot process the words.
