    I've actually never driven this track before - I didn't even knew the track layout. Just did about 50 Laps with the 650S and thought - damn, how can I get at least the 1:32:00. Then I witched to the AMG GT3 and on my 3rd lap with it I already got a 1:31:91. But I am actually shocked, how different both cars do handle. I now have 6 hours in the game and already love it :D
    Btw: Thanks for the guide. It really helped!

    Great video. Finding the right car is a big way to improve times. I was on 1.35,9 with a McLaren and went down to 1.32,6 with Ferrari. After testing some setups i lapped at 1.31,3 and the biggest time boost was when i switched from my G920 to a fanatec CLS DD. The superior precision and force feedback gave me more car control and confidence and my laps went down to 1.28,1

    Great guide! Just enough information to get started on working the track. Too many track guides are unnecessarily long and get too much into details. I also like that you are not giving out too specific braking points, since everybody drives and brakes in their own way/with varying skill level.

    I just tried the McLaren here for the first time. Changed a couple of things of the aggressive setup and managed a 1:30:582 on the race and a 1:30:687.
    No tyre pressures neither suspension changes.

    Why do I find Zolder to be quite a bit easier than Monza? Isn't that backwards?

    • @TraxionGG
      @TraxionGG  3 роки тому

      Not necessarily! I am actually the same personally, and I think it’s down to the speed on approach. The Monza chicanes are approached at a high speed, meaning every difference is amplified. If I brake 5 meters too late, I’m more likely to miss the apex, if I brake 5 metres too early, I give away time in the braking zone. Very tricky to master, especially if you are jumping between cars!

      @@TraxionGG Interesting. Curious, then, that Monza is considered a beginner's track. I've managed a 1:31.1 on Zolder, but at Monza, I average 1:53, sometimes get 1:52 if I'm in a good rhythm, and, ironically, one time in a car I hate I managed a 1:51, which I've so far been unable to replicate.

    can i ask you why you cut the right curb also in the first chicane? or is this different depending the car? i do 2:17.5s doing the jaguar but i usually avoid the Villeneuve chicane's right curb because it makes me lose 2 tenths, i managed to get it down to 2 tenths because it was more before, is this purely down to the car? appreciate the answer. i also noticed the audi's can get through there alot faster than i can with the jaguar, even with bump range and suspension stiffness changes.

    • @JohnMunroRacing
      @JohnMunroRacing 3 роки тому +2

      Honestly, the car and setup will make a massive difference. I would be lying if I told you I knew the quickest line in every scenario, because each car will ride each of the kerbs differently. For example, I once raced the Mclaren around here in an endurance event and had to totally compromise at the chicane.... It was like a take-off ramp 😂 The best thing you can do is exactly what you are doing, trial and error. Find out what works best, but importantly what feels the most consistent in a race. This is one of those sections where your racing line and quali line may differ depending on how much of a risk you are willing to take 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting on the video!

      You are very welcome! Glad they have been helpful for you 😄 How are you enjoying the T300rs so far? It will take some time to get used to it, but ultimately you will be much faster and more consistent 😎🔥 - John

      @@TraxionGG I must say, at first it was a massive shock to the system, feeling the ffb and learning how to drive with a wheel.(I've been racing on a controller for 15years since I was 11)but now 6 days in its starting to feel more natural..oh btw I improved again did a 1.28.7 thanks to your track guide!! thank you so much!

      I think the t300rs is great value for money probably the best mid range setup you can get, then there obviously fanatec and all the DD wheels..but for now I'm very happy with the thrustmaster
