- The Greatest Gaming event supercut is finally here. This is a compilation of the best moments from The Game Awards 2019. This years show had no big groundbreaking announcements, but alot of weird moments. Featuring Hideo Kojima, Hidetaka Miyazaki, Vin Diesel, Norman Reedus, muppets, The Gooseand of couse Geoff Keighley. As always, I watched this whole show so you don't have to.

@@Verdia oh it does impacts me, you see the only goal of companies, once it becomes Hollywood wiil be to monitize the shit out of every game. You will not see complete packages like sekiro and witcher, which are already quite rare in this moment. Once hollywood elites start pouring in the industry, they'll bring their problems too, one big problem will be utter normification of medium, which we already see on AAA scale. Companies trying to cater to absolute dumbasses with shortest attention span. But thank God at least gamers respond with wallet and once in a while company like ea does wake up, ends up making good game like new star wars. So no, high profile actors and musicians should stay away from games.

The part where Reggie talked about how far games have come and how they're larger than movies was beautiful. Let's follow it up with drunk Hollywood actors plugging a movie based game that looks like it came out 15 years ago and then also plugging their movie.
To be fair that's how Vin Diesel normally acts.

Some people get so obsessed with releasing perfect content they will constantly scrap and re-do entire projects on a whim if they aren't 115% satisfied with them. That also may explain why he deletes videos that aren't received with overwhelming praise.
DanielFromSL has a similar problem with videos, by his own admission, but at least he streams.
What TerakJK seems to get, that Crowbcat doesn't anymore is most importantly being passionate about the editing process and having fun. If someone doesn't like your video it's not the end of the world. Crowbcat needs to grow a pair and not be afraid of making controversial videos.

To be fair, the 2019 MW has the best sound details in all of CoD--to the level of games like Insurgency. However it is by no means deserving of awards.
Just like Life is Strange 2 and Control being there, their purpose is completely irrelevant to their quality. Just like the Oscars, eh?

Having geometric space-time shifts and a female lead does not really change your game much if you're still relying on the mechanics that carried Max Payne for decades. It is definitely leagues above Life is Strange 2, but just like Modern Warfare 2019, it doesn't deserve much honor. It's just a 7/10 game.
@ 4 nominations and 1 award in comparison to Sekiro's 1 GOTY and 1 action/adventure award? Yeah no.
If you look past the awards and at the nominations, it's very blatant that TGA 2019 is very biased towards the "elite" set of developers and companies--much like the Oscars. There are dozens of the same titles getting nominations across many genres that it's not even fair anymore to the other more obscure games that did them as good, if not better.

The Game Awards is the perfect example of nerds trying too hard to be cool.
It could be just a quaint awards show with cool video game music and lots of people having fun, but no, they gotta shove TikTok, "tweet of the year", award for "progressive game" and people dressing way too expensive for a show about people sitting down and playing games.
And then there's the nonstop fellatio for Hollywood actors and cringe youtubers...
Man, look at that DMC5 win. That's what the whole show should be like; short, sincere and awarding deserving games.
