I remember as a kid in the 60s going downtown to the theaters to see the new Bond movies. It was a big event for me and always wore my best suit.
That sounds so amazing.
OHMSS theme was the only Instrumental, and it is in the top of the list. The 'Lazenby Era'...OK, 1969, was one of the best Bond Films & doesn't get the respect it deserves.
Cubby Broccoli's favorite of all the Bond Films, by the way.
Sorry for being Pedantic, but both Dr No and From Russia With Love had instrumental main title themes too.
The two themes are 16 years apart but blend nicely together
That's the beauty of a good music!! It remains fresh and appealing to hear for many many years and centuries to come, even after the composers who composed it are gone. Who can forget Ennio Morricone's The Good The Bad and The Ugly theme? Who cannot get motivated, moved and cry upon hearing the ending theme in The Dark Knight by Hans Zimmer? Who won't like a drive in the country theme in For your eyes only by Bill Conti, or get pumped up by Gonna fly now theme?
And of course Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and Tchicovsky produced some of the most legendary and everlasting pieces!!!
That's the beauty of music!!!!
Dr. Strangelove Beyonce says music gets sour like milk.
Boy-once says.only new music is valid.
@@dr.strangelove5622 that`s the talent of the arranger, not the "beauty of good music"
I love Queen Man. I m your Fugger BoY.
The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra verion is the best i've ever heard.
View To A Kill was always one of the best theme tunes for Bond. But hearing it slowed down like this really goes to show what a beautiful tune it actually is. It's wonderful.
+bartlettandbosc Agree, one of the very best.
Lol who would have thought that a view to a kill could blend in with on her majestys secret service so well?
A View to a Kill had this orchestra version in the film too and the original soundtrack as "Wine with Stacy" during the party after the horse race :)
bartlettandbosc it's not slowed down..this is the piece called "wine with Stacy" by John Barry.
vidotrossi74 it's not the original.are you daft?
I don't see how anyone could dislike this. This is utterly amazing. The different songs blend together perfectly, and this just goes to show what an incredible composer John Barry was.
And what an incredible arranger Nic Raine is.
OHMSS music remains a forgotten classic by John Barry.
+Alan Reno It gets used in loads of other films and has inspired lots of imitators yet barely anyone knows of the original soundtrack in comparison.
Among Bondians this is certainly NOT a forgotten classic and is widely regarded as the best soundtrack. Ever.
One could even argue that the music was better than the movie
Alan R really Alan
And not a bad Bond film either.
The "Bond Meets Stacey" portion is honestly the best thing I've ever heard. I can almost picture a forbidden romance budding alongside that theme. =P It almost makes me wish this was never composed so that I could make my own movie with this in it LOL.
Sincem AVTAK used so many cues fro the OHMSS soundtrack, it actually makes perfect sense that they're together.
Here comes George Lazenby and Roger Moore marching in together
This is PERFECT.... no other word "He's Dangerous" is WOW!
Best theme from all the 007 movies.
This is amazing. Two of my favorite Bond soundtracks mushed together into one amazing track. Words cannot express the joy. 0_0
"He's Dangerous" always sounds amazing, doesn't matter who's covering it!
Awesome. :) Indeed OHMSS is among the best films in the series. The soundtrack might easily be the best film soundtrack ever composed.
Niels Christiansen yes indeed
It is.
Is perfect for drive into a mountain road.
Great song.
This is one of the best themed crossovers of a film..........Duran Duran...2:03...View To A Kill
hard to describe the good feeling in this music.
Very true...but kind of ironic considering the dark ending of OHMSS.
I love this song. it is soothing song helps me to relax also it reminds me how I overcame aversities and solve problems.
I love JAMES BOND MOVIES I WATCH THEIR MOVIES IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH.
I love listening to this, I've owned this music for about 2 years, I still love listening to it, also considering AVTAK and OHMSS are my favorite movies.
OHMSS score is perhaps the most bad ass and energetic of the franchise, and AVTAK one of the most romantic scores. That instrumental of the AVTAK theme is just beautiful
Oh my god!!! 2:05 to 2:50 is SICK !!! Wonderful!!!
View to a Kill was the best themed movie totally......theme consistant and well placed with Duran Duran......thanks for this
Always loved James Bond
I like it, gets the feeling of maybe a squad of guys sneaking around or something.
Perhaps. For me, though, it combines a sinister feeling with elements of grandeur and nobility in a complicated but gripping musical compilation. It asks us to imagine a time and place in which large-scale events could be lived through and confronted in a grand way. It's unapologetic.
it looks like 007's legends GREAT !!!!!!!
UTTERLY Brilliant
Love the A View a Kill one very soothing sound
i like this i love this it's a great song
James Bond WILL return.....
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is an odd movie. I think a lot of James Bond fans would rather pretend it never existed, and they have good reasons. It has severe flaws as a James Bond movie, and if you try to evaluate it outside the James Bond context it makes almost no sense and probably offends a lot of people. But... it has the best ski scenes of any Bond film, leans into the weirdness in terms of situation and villains... and the soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous. This is a fine rendition of the theme, and yeah, as other commenters have said, going into the View to a Kill theme as a slow movement works so well. I'm still not sure how I should think about the movie, but the music is superb.
excellent bond themes make me wanna go out and be bond
the track from View to a Kill is actually called He's Dangerous on the soundtrack
David Skarica wrong.its called "wine with Stacy" then "he's dangerous".
To me OHMSS theme trumps all other bond movies theme to date. Timeless...
Sublime
I love the OHMSS intro, it's so ominous and some parts of it plays during the entire movie. A great entry in the series, that got butchered by critics for YEARS until it received the deserved praise.
This is a really well done medley of two ostensibly disparate title songs from the 007 films. Many thanks for taking the time to upload the entire album!
I always thought Majesty's was a tough ass instrumental. I like the ending of the bridge at 1:00. There will never be another like John Barry.
yes great tunes put together keep going bond 007
That's a nice fade/mix whatever it is.
WOnderful meet up. OHMSS is a badass (the best) theme .... and AVTAK the most romantic .... Snow Job is just Blast Out glory.
It's kind of weird to hear OHMSS in A View To a Kill, considering both films share absolutely nothing in the scope of 007, but it's still great to hear a little musical continuity between films. I'm disappointed they didn't do it more often, like say for example using the space theme from You Only Live Twice in Moonraker or something.
BACHUR it is there in for your eyes only
The Craig era does it in the latter films, like the ominous Skyfall Manor theme in SPECTRE or the OHMSS callbacks in NTTD. Also, hi Bachur.
Awesome!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Found the song.
awesome!
Man i wished Barry would have scored the Daniel Craig Bond films. OHMSS was Barrys best soundtrack!!
Nice music!
Wonderful mish-mash.
3:54 😍👌
Thanks for uploading. My favourite part is around 2:05 and 2:25. It has something serious, calm and peacefull.
So good
amazing
5:03 is from the OHMSS SE DVD menu. :D
Very moving and dramatic at same time...
exelent version...
Excellent
@klb2000000 Nice to hear someone actually buying this CD.
They were put together for the CD. Or rather, it's what they did when they performed it. I didn't edit them together.
2:06 view to a kill
The greatest bond theme ever shame George Lazenby never got another chance to play 007
Whatever you think of OHMSS and Lazenby (I think both are great, OHMSS is possibly the best Bond film and I'll take Lazenby over Moore, Brosnan, and maybe even some aspects of Connery's performance), it had the best theme song.
Good to hear this. I actually prefer Timothy Dalton as Bond.
Dalton would have fit in this film no problem.
Jeff Kardos Jr. He was offered it, but declined it because he was 25.
Indeed, it's pure magic! A music to dream away...
But I'd say from 01:50 to 02:50. ;)
mielen kiintisin versio tästä kappaleesta...
In my opinion not only OHMSS is the best bond but it has the best score. But AVATK is the second best in my opinion. Berry outdone himself on both scores and it showed.
super
Question: How come they're on the same video? Do both films share the same suite? Just wondering.
Gd films
OHMSS could've slowed into 'We have all the time in the world' which would've been a beautiful ease into 'Wine with stacy' and resume as originally
Not bad , not bad at all :)

I love this, only I think the OHMSS and the AVTAK songs should have been separate
It's always nothing personal, unless others make it personal, on how I go about it all, because has to go globally roundabout about it all anyways.
3:55
this track is so cutty
Guns make me nervous
