You know what’s horrible is the fact that the person she was passing could’ve just slow down and let her back over into the lane. But the entitlement on the road is absolutely crazy. I have seen people literally not let people merge onto the freeway and damn near make them hit the side wall for no reason other than freaking entitlement

Her lawyer and the judge sucked!!!! She was in a tragic car accident that resulted in a death. No drugs or alcohol. It's incredibly sad and unfortunate and she suffered damages as well. The judge could've done so many other things than sentence her to prison in a wheel chair.
This woman is the perfect example that things can go left for anyone. But her resilience and good spirit will carry her far. Also evidence the criminal “justice” system is broken.

She seams like a good person. And obviously the whole situation is tragic. But anyone who drives knows you only pass on dotted lines when it’s safe. If the asshole driver speeds up and becomes unsafe. Doesn’t give you the right to do the same. The minimizing of her fault and responsibility is unbelievable disrespectful to the person who died and the other who was injured. They choose to driving in their lane safely. If she did the same. @erickiyoshiphillips2323 You would think so. I'm a bailbondsman and when talking to inmates sometimes it amaze me, when they don't know theirs charges. It's not as unusual as you think. Yall looking from the outside.
Thank you for featuring her. She really does have a bright future ahead of her and I really do like her personality so anything you guys sell I am definitely buying it.
So it was something like road rage, fighting to pass, she in the wrong lane, head on, kills someone and she got a few years... and she's selling hats, Really? And I'm sure it could happen to a lot of us, but if they loved one sees this, I bet they'd be sick.
I used to have that mentally but at what point are the courts playing God taking away lives with sentences. A guy was leaving a home invasion and crashed into my brother and his girlfriend killing them both. At first I wanted to see blood after praying on it and talking to God, I hate to see he got 45 years. The look in his kids eyes when the gavel hit was horrible.
It’s sad to say,but it sounds like she was in the wrong.Granted the car in front of her was not letting her get around, but she literally went into on coming traffic just to get around this person…..smh
@@kevinhunt7014 I don’t think y’all know how passing lanes work. In many places there are long one lane each way roads with dashed lines which signifies you’re good to pass, especially if you’re stuck behind a large truck holding traffic. Her going into the other lane doesn’t automatically make her wrong.
I think it’s interesting, how she says the other driver sped up. She never once said, I could have slowed down and not passed or when the car speed up let it go and dropped back behind that car. She never owned her role in this horrible accident. Our actions create our problems. It’s sad for everyone.
My God I really hate this happened to you and the victims😢 One bad driving decision could change multiple lives. I pray every time I get into a vehicle! Praying for D’nita and the families🙏🏾🤍
Wow! This is such a sad story 😢 and you are an extremely strong woman, and I 🙏 that the rest of your life is filled with whatever your heart ❤️ desires.
Nobody can judge her because it was a dam accident. Everyone, Everyone including judges, has made a mistake that could have caused someone's life. Hell judges wrongfully convict ppl daily. They definitely, I would like to think, don't do it intentionally.
I think this is important it shows people to slow down take your time…don’t be angry because all of this could have been avoided if she just stayed in her lane…but I do however think she should of never been to prison she almost lost her legs so that is her punishment…
Wow, ive never seen a comment section so polarized and divided. R.I.P. to the victim. She is fine A.F. Please slow down a bit no job is worth all that.
I think everyone’s response would be DAMN IM GOING TO JAIL after you been in a deadly car crash… Yes someone passed unfortunately but you guys don’t know what she’s truly going through & continuously think about . I feel like she has so much remorse because not only someone died she has to deal with being handicap her whole life . She stated she has a purpose now and I believe her . This taught me a lot.. being mindful of your life and others on the road “not being risky” . Anyways I hope you all stay focused and safe on the roads and in life in general . 🙏🏽 P.S no matter the dark moments in life, we have to move on we can’t stay in those moments forever .
Am I going to jail? After finding out that she's killed, someone is wild. I'm not convinced of her remorse. Honestly, she should know that person's name, etc.. I do truly believe that this was an accident, but it's sad because there's only one side benefiting from it.
She was sentenced to 4 years on a misdemeanor.. yeah doesn't add up. Seems like she is really downplaying the aggravated assault in the 2nd which is a felony.
No drug no alcohol. It was an accident . Unfortunately someone passed away. The charge was violation of public health and safety. Which is Equivalent to a traffic ticket.
Which you dont get 4 years for. You seem to forget how many actual crimianls watch this podcast. Traffic tickets or equiv of dont equal 4 years... in any state@dnitahamilton627
If you watched whole video, she did say she is a convicted felon now, and has to let people know that when she’s filling out applications. So yes, I’m with you that the story doesn’t add up.
My husband advised me as soon as I got my license to always drive "defensively," to always assume everyone on the road is crazy. He also told me that MOST accidents happen when changing lanes or radio channels. Anyway, the woman sounds like a such sweetheart and I'm sorry she had the accident. I'm surprised, though, that someone who was college educated and sounds smart thought becoming a correctional officer was better than being a teacher. It makes no sense to me. Anyhow... BTW I, too, had an almost fatal car accident in which I was T-boned, my truck overturned upside down and the truck was a light off. Some stupid young guy had run a green light. The doctors, cops and eye witnesses didn't believe I escaped death or at least paralysis. Definitely, God and my guardian angels were watching over me for sure.
All you have to do is google her name….. From the article.. “Hamilton was indicted last year on charges of second-degree death by auto and fourth-degree aggravated assault. Under a plea agreement reached with Salem County prosecutors, Hamilton has pleaded guilty to a second-degree charge of violation of law intended to protect public health and safety and recklessly causing death. Prosecutors will recommend the judge sentence her to four years in prison. The agreement also includes a two-year driver’s license revocation.
I dont wanna be rude but her story doesnt add up. From the way she tells the story about the accident to the charges she got that gave her 4 years in jail none of it makes sense. Seems like she was road raging and tried to pass someone and they sped up so she did as well and an innocent person was killed because of ego and entitlement.
Tbh sounds like she tried to merge with no room and the other guy didn’t let her. People don’t let me merge all the time; in Atlanta it seems like if you turn your blinker on they see it as a challenge but I don’t match their aggression I just wait to merge 😬🤷🏽♂️
I think that’s crazy that she had been living a super clean, straight & narrow life, and it’s like it didn’t even matter. She should not have even been charged. Seems like law enforcement was desperate to ruin her life even more than the physical position she was already dealing with!
The article said she was charged with second-degree death by auto and fourth-degree aggravated assault. I’m sure the other charge was included but this is what sent her to prison
The system is so unfair. A woman was driving with a suspended license, ran a red light , and killed my grandfather. Not only did she not get jail time , she tried to sue my grandfather’s estate.
I never pass unless they are doing way under the speed limit. I've had people do this exact thing though. They are strolling along 20 under, see me going around, then floor it to keep me behind them. It makes no sense. When someone passes me, I slow down and move over. I'll never understand why people get their feelings hurt over being passed.

There has to be more than this story😢
Lol, there is not....
She caused the accident by passing on the wrong side of the road. You don't go into the oncoming traffic lane to pass a car
What a lovely lady her story is amazing how things can change at a flip of a coin .
Man I didn’t think she was a day older than 25. When she said she graduated in 2003 I was shocked. Very beautiful and you can tell she’s educated.
I think it’s interesting, how she says the other driver sped up. She never once said, I could have slowed down and not passed or when the car speed up let it go and dropped back behind that car. She never owned her role in this horrible accident. Our actions create our problems. It’s sad for everyone.
KEEP ON WORKING Ms. D🗣️
people saying this interviw is upbeat is wild to me... someone died as a result of her choices!!! what's upbeat about that?!?
Thank God for your healing and testimony! God always amazes us! He is truly a keeper, in all situations! Keep encouraging others! ❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing interview from start to finish
Thank you!!
She is a good person, but the sounds of this. This is very deep.
She’s such a beautiful person. ❤
This is so sad 😞 her positivity is unmatched
I just don't understand how that lawyer didn't get that case throughout💯😔???
First of all, she’s in GREAT shape and her hair is GORGEOUS ❤
The song she is referring to was made by A Tribe Called Quest ❤
Nobody can judge her because it was a dam accident. Everyone, Everyone including judges, has made a mistake that could have caused someone's life. Hell judges wrongfully convict ppl daily. They definitely, I would like to think, don't do it intentionally.
Agree
Judges don’t convict juries do , but judges can over sentence or over look evidence or not let the “ defendant advocate for them selfs
D- you have Gods hand on your life- pursue HIM!!
Had to shut this off bc I can't take the fact that she blames everyone else . STOP DRIVING RECKLESS
At like 37mins she touched on it in excess
EXCELLENT JOB!!!....NO GUESS WORK AT ALL!!!!
I think this is important it shows people to slow down take your time…don’t be angry because all of this could have been avoided if she just stayed in her lane…but I do however think she should of never been to prison she almost lost her legs so that is her punishment…
Keep your joy sis that was so unfortunate! But you said the most important thing out of the whole interview. Keep God first.😅
Wow, ive never seen a comment section so polarized and divided. R.I.P. to the victim. She is fine A.F. Please slow down a bit no job is worth all that.
I know why?😮
incredible experience & thx 2 u both.
This was a good interview.
Thanks so much
I think everyone’s response would be DAMN IM GOING TO JAIL after you been in a deadly car crash… Yes someone passed unfortunately but you guys don’t know what she’s truly going through & continuously think about . 🙏🏽
P.S no matter the dark moments in life, we have to move on we can’t stay in those moments forever .
I REALLY appreciate that!
All of us have tried to pass another person on 2 lane highways, especially pass Big trucks.....
Hell nah
Am I going to jail? After finding out that she's killed, someone is wild. I'm not convinced of her remorse. Honestly, she should know that person's name, etc.. I do truly believe that this was an accident, but it's sad because there's only one side benefiting from it.
She was sentenced to 4 years on a misdemeanor.. yeah doesn't add up. Seems like she is really downplaying the aggravated assault in the 2nd which is a felony.
Ya she could barely remember the charge saying it was a misdemeanor..? Def downplaying the fact she killed someone
She's not downplaying anything. She said what she said.
At what point in the video does she show remorse? Does anyone have a timestamp for that?
Do you watch this podcast for remorse?
36:57
Remorse for what it was an accident I. Sure she's sorry but what do you want her to do cry
@@kylebrown1002I stopped it at that time stamp. No remorse is shown at that time stamp.
@@mattsfirewoodvideos738remorse for causing someone's death? I would think that she would have shown remorse at her sentencing?
She has a good spirit
She’s stallin on talkin bout that charge.
You are so strong queen!!!!
God will bless and forgive as well. Keep pushing young lady 💪🏿🙏🏿
Again it goes to show you that not every one that is in prison is a bad person#TeamD’Nita
That's the correction officer mentality .. always correct 😞
The person whom didn’t let her pass caused road rage being spiteful
She def not telling the truth about some things!
Tbh sounds like she tried to merge with no room and the other guy didn’t let her. People don’t let me merge all the time; in Atlanta it seems like if you turn your blinker on they see it as a challenge but I don’t match their aggression I just wait to merge 😬🤷🏽♂️
@@chxmpionbeats4824 yup ppl in Atlanta are spiteful on the road when letting ppl merge
I love you sis💪🏾👑💞thank you for inspiring so many🙌🏾
I think that’s crazy that she had been living a super clean, straight & narrow life, and it’s like it didn’t even matter. She should not have even been charged. Seems like law enforcement was desperate to ruin her life even more than the physical position she was already dealing with!
The article said she was charged with second-degree death by auto and fourth-degree aggravated assault. I’m sure the other charge was included but this is what sent her to prison
I am glad you dare doing something good with your past, and encourage other prisoners r felons to move forward.
The system is so unfair. A woman was driving with a suspended license, ran a red light , and killed my grandfather. Not only did she not get jail time , she tried to sue my grandfather’s estate.
This infuriates me!! Say the truth!! You drove on the wrong side of the road and killed that person😢
Wonderful story.
How does she not know exactly what the charges were?
Put God first and everything else will fall into place..
Amen 🙏🏽🌷💓🦋💫🙏🏽
I never pass unless they are doing way under the speed limit. I've had people do this exact thing though. They are strolling along 20 under, see me going around, then floor it to keep me behind them. It makes no sense. When someone passes me, I slow down and move over. I'll never understand why people get their feelings hurt over being passed.
What a great lady!
Her 'story' similar to mine here in Australia.
D'nita has inspired me to keep going.
God love you girl!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏾 I appreciate that.
God bless her. I live close to Bo Robinson
If you see that the dotted lines end, do not pass. You need to calculate the amount of room you require to pass wisely!
