  • Honda ATC 200m front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain replacement. Front sprocket was welded unfortunately but we got it done! I used a O Ring Chain.
    The 200m takes a 520 motorcycle style chain.

      Thanks! This is the bike I drive mainly cause everything is pretty new on it, all new bearings and brakes. I think I spent about 200$ in total to do the conversion but always wanted a disc brake so it was worth it. It is a 400Ex caliper mounted on a 200X hub

    Do you need that flange/washer infront of the counter shaft/front sprocket? I have a sprocket there but no bolts or that little plate

    Can the 200m recoil be adapted to fit the 185s? Also how many riding hours approx should the sprockets last I know type of use drastically effects this but I'm looking for a rough time frame of normal use.

    • @muddythumper8152
      @muddythumper8152  3 роки тому

      for sprockets they can last a long time, 2 years +. I have only had to change sprockets because i bent a rear sprocket before. I don't own any 185's myself, not sure how different the recoil looks, but as long as you got the corresponding piece / cup that bolts to the engine you should be good to go. Ive seen some variations in recoil cups from 82-85 so not fully sure what it looks like

    Do you happen to know we're to buy a 10 or 9 tooth front sprocket for the 185/200? Pbi sprockets was my go to but they discontinued rear sprockets for the 185 and the shipping is nuts 60 just to get a sprocket delivered to my door.

    • @muddythumper8152
      @muddythumper8152  3 роки тому +1

      Not sure off hand, PBi sprockets that you mentioned seems to be most well known for making sprockets. Personally I would avoid dropping a tooth on the front, a machinist once explained to me how that one less tooth overall increases wear on the chain. Id run OEM front sprocket and just go up a extra few teeth on the rear! On the lifted trike i just built ( building ) im running 70tooth rear and factory front sprocket too!

      @@buildurtruckurway9118 what size tires you gonna run? 200M comes factory with a 47 tooth sprocket rear, I got my 70 tooth at swamp outlaw here in Canada. They make other sizes too. 47 tooth is good for 25 inch tires on a 200 engine, so depends on what you want the gearing for really

      @@muddythumper8152 currently I'm running a set of 25 10 11 mudhook extremes. They are probably comparable to zillas in how aggressive they are just a little more street/hard pack safe 2 inch deep lugs close to a broken up tractor pattern. When I put air in them there actual height is just under 27" if that makes sense.

      what setup? the factory 200m / 200e shouldn't need another chain tensioner just one it comes with it is essentially just a washer when a stud welded to it that draws the axle back to tighten the chain
