I’m tired of seeing the vinyl wrap designs, and I actually want to letter my own car and use “mental” artwork instead of computer artwork. Micro Mark Tools, who supply the model building community, has a 3-piece pounce wheel set. We use them to pierce balsa wood and divet styrene plastic. They should work well for a pounce pattern!
Hey Darla Dee! I've had favorable pounce results using powder from the bottom of a bag of grill charcoal. It's much cheaper per bag and would otherwise go to waste. Thanks for your videos! They are a tremendous help and inspiration. Looking forward to more. Will
What an awesome idea. I never would have thought about the charcoal dust from a bag at the grocery store and it's close to brilliant. I hope my videos help but I have to say this is only my way of getting the job done. Because of Facebook I've become acquainted with so many other wonderful sign painters that know far more than me. It's a little overwhelming but my goal is to show the craft to my grandchildren and so I continue. It's a pleasure to meet you, Will.

Old people time, is as good as any other time. Regarding the pounce wheel. Could you use one of those wheels they use for sewing patterns? I would like to see both use of the tape and the no tape way of doing it if at all possible.
The sewing wheel isn't intended to punch holes and so it won't work. It works with carbon paper of all colors. It's not a bad idea to show both taped lettering and freehand so I appreciate the suggestion. Thanks for your support.

P.S. if you really miss the cotton on the roll, and need it for anything, head to a Sally Beauty store (or any good beauty supply store that sells hair dyes). They sell the cotton on a roll in 40 foot lengths. Best to you, and I'm looking forward to seeing more videos on here if you do them!
