how would this work on wool fabric backing? I'm thinking of using this on a medieval outfit to embroider. It was said Bayeux tapestry was constructed in such a way, but I suspect the panels it may have been drawn directly onto the linen...?
Interestingly, when they restored the Baueaux Tapestry the last time there are no signs of a design transfer on it! This method has been used for centuries (both Michael Angelo and Leonardo Da Vinci used it) and works on many things including velvet so I'm confident it will work on your woolen fabric. You might need to do some practices to see how much powder you need...
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery Thank you very much for your reply. This is helpful to know. I have varying thicknesses of wool and felt, and when my kit arrives, I'll experiment and see how it works on it.
