This is 1988 - the car is a 1988 registration and he mentions that the E34 was launched "this summer". The E34 was launched in the UK in June '88 :)

F111 HCH has been untaxed since April 2011 and it’s last MOT ran out in March 2015 - I hope it’s still alive somewhere!

F960MJH - it's MOT expired in 2012 and it's not been taxed since 2003 (Not quite sure why it was MOT'd but untaxed).
