Hara was one of those games that I learned about...and then would periodically check pricing of it until I finally picked up a copy. Really excited to get it on the channel as it has quickly become one of my faves! Happy Gaming! Greg
I have just played 2 games of Hara. The game is great. Good hand management, a nice puzzle and a fluid flow of play. Plus the game is not fiddly at all 😁. Thanks for sharing this game 🔥
New subscriber here. What an awesome playthrough of a cool game. I recall dithering over wether or not to back this game during its KS campaign years ago (now dithering over Anachrony) But I backed out because I was still new to board gaming and all of these mechanics and rules seemed so abstract and fiddly to me at the time. Then one day recently and out of nowhere, Champions of Hara suddenly appeared in one of my feeds. so I decided to check it out again and …I ended up buying it. Expecting it to arrive next week. I really enjoyed your chill and discussion-like playthrough and look forward to watching your other ones to learn the game. Cheers
Thanks for the comment, columbus! Yeah - this game has its warts, but it remains one of my favorites and I'm excited to keep working through the content in the upcoming months. As for your dithering (great word!) on Anachrony, I was very much there with Anachrony for a long time and, after borrowing it from a friend, I was very happy with my non-purchase. If you love worker placement, you might have a different experience with it, but it was very much not a game for me, especially at that price point. I posted two playthroughs of it awhile back, so it may be worth checking out my Anachrony playlist - just be sure to check the comments for a couple minor rules corrections if you do. :)
@@SoloPlaythroughs haha..feel free to use that word whenever you feel like it. Appreciate your detailed response and I look forward to watching more of your playthroughs.
I do love this as well - awesome crazy world and very brain burner puzzle. I know its been a while since this was recorded, but would love to see Leaf in action. FYI, I also have a copy of this
Hey, G asa! Thanks for the comment! I’m not sure when I’m getting Hara back on the channel but that Leaf solo scenario is pretty wild for sure. I’ll keep it in mind as I plan out my schedule. 🙂
I hadn't heard of this game till it came up in your top games list. This is my type of game except for perhaps the theme. Already purchased and on its way.
Awesome! The theme is another anime-esque kind of thing, with the characters and enemies have an almost unparalleled amount of variety. Each champion has a solo scenario, which also have a crazy amount of variety, with this one being a coming of age story of sorts and the next one in the rulebook being about throwing a huge party. Once you can get into the zaniness, the mechanics are sweet and the gameplay is very satisfying. :)
Thanks for the new content Greg. This game isn't for me but I'm glad it exists, and I'm sure there's someone out there who can't wait to bring this to their table.
Thanks, Robert! I’m hoping to get a couple more of the solo scenarios on the channel to show the game’s range a bit more. But it’s for sure not for everyone. 🙂
Hey, Alfred! Yeah - Hara is a bit off the wall with a lot of stories thrown together across the various scenarios. And nice heads-up about Miniature Market - I believe it’s out of stock already!
1:19:11 It sounds like you didn't get the Murky Murk reference. I've been rolling on the floor this whole video. 😂 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marky_Mark_and_the_Funky_Bunch

I really appreciate your Champions of Hara playthroughs.
Thanks, Costas! I'll likely get my next one on the channel sometime next month. :)

Lmao at The Baiyu! Down on The Baiyu. Out here on the street. Willie and the Po Boys are playing. Put in a nickle, tap your feet.
Ha! Yeah - there is a lot of wacky subculture knowledge in this game that is lost on me unfortunately.
Interesting...I'm not sure it's for me, but it's a cool story. It and the expansion are on sale this very moment on Miniature Market, fwiw

...did he say Mage Knight?!
He did! 🤣
So the game has a “good personality”... lol
AND it’s pretty, too! The whole package!
@@SoloPlaythroughs I have never even heard of this game before now! I am always looking for good solo game, need to check this one out.
I love it and I’ve got a lot more to explore with it. It’s not close to my love for Zeds though! 🤣
