Welcome to GamingSins, where we expose and nitpick the hell out of video games.
Well, we got a few requests to do this game and we just couldn't resist. Resident Evil was one of our favorite video game series of all time...until this game. So we decided to count all of the sins included in it.
Sure we gave it a little leeway when the series took a new turn with Resident Evil 4. But then, we started to doubt it when Resident Evil 5 was released. And this game was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.

Actually the part where ada open a briefcase had a lock. Carla was a clone of ada so basically they have the same fingerprints. The real sin here is how ada can use fingerprint scanner while wearing gloves.

@Base Bass Forte I understood Helena, but I wouldn't have dragged Leon with me and I would have been honest from the beginning. I love my sister and if we were in that situation, if there's the tiniest hint that she could be alive, I would go to find her.
She should have been honest, and it was wrong of her to lie and put his life in danger like she did. But, in the end, I can understand why she did it.

There's a good reason why the US Government expected Sherry to survive. She's got a Wolverine-level healing factor, she's immune to the virus, and she basically watched her dad turn into a monster as a little girl. Nothing scares her. If anyone could go in, rescue Jake and survive, it's her. Definitely not a sin.

He said the Grapple Hook Gimmick was a ripoff, not the Grapple Gun itself. It's talking about RE6 saw how batman used his Grapple Hook in his game as the player, and stole the entire animation and sequence for their own game for the players of Ada.
RE4 did it before Arkham Asylum.

I seriously think they just can't handle Resident Evil anymore.
Remember Operation Raccoon City?
That was their attempt on "reviving the old Resident Evil / Biohazard" and it failed horribly.
Now the best they could do is milk the crap out of the older series by remaking them in HD.
At least the original creator of Biohazard is making The Evil Within - a true spiritual successor to the series.
If they really try, get a good team, organize well, they might emphasis on might be able to make another good RE game. But maybe that's just wishful thinking.

You can't please anyone, if they made it old school people would complain, they try to bring it up to modern specs people complain.
You guys forgot a sin! In Leon's campaign when Helena and Leon jump into the manhole to the sewers. It's clearly shown that Helena jumps first, Leon following. Yet, in the next cutscene, it shows Leon land first, Helena afterwards.
IN MY OPINION I like the game, I like the concept of many different characters and campaigns. The story is unique by making it all fit together especially with the co-op.

I think instead of Helena, Claire should have worked with Leon. And instead of Piers, Jill should have worked with Chris and when Chris and Piers has that argument, Jill tells Chris she can barely recognise him, and at the end they finally get together (I've shipped them so bad since I first started playing/watching)
You forgot to mention the part in Leon's campaign, where you enter the arena just before fighting the mutated dinosaur (I don't care to remember his name) and right before you jump down you can't go go left or right and run around the entire stadium because of an invisible barrier. Even though there is CLEARLY nothing blocking you from doing so.

Just imagine it, 2 players controlling leon and claire, struggling with ammo and sharing what they can, using herbs on each other, trying to run away from Mr. X and just trying to survive in general. That would be awesome imo
RE 2 isn't made for that type of gameplay and there are separate scenarios

Detective Lance The game would have been better if Simmons was the focus not Ada Wong or the obession for ada. Plus sticking to one formula or two is better than dozens.

So apparently RE6 isn't survival horror but RE5 is. RE5 is he most action-oriented RE to date. At least everyone's story represented a different type of RE style. Leon- Horror. Chris- Action. Jake- Adventure. Ada- Puzzle.

Yeah, I like the idea of it, but that's not what the original series is about, they should've left RE 5 behind and did RE 6 as horror it's self. Plus the horror in Leon's wasn't actually scary, unless you find a trash can falling over spooky. But as it went on it also panned towards Action as well. In the main story line, RE 6 is the worst game, main story line (including RE 1, RE 2, RE 3: Nemesis, RE 4, RE 5, and finally RE 6) Yes RE 5 wasn't horror thrilled and neither was RE 4, but RE 4 was made as a masterpiece, if you kept dying, it would lower the difficulty without you knowing, and if you did really good, it would up the difficulty, plus none of the developers said anything to brag about it. Only time it was officially announced was when it was in a strategy guide a year after the game was released. RE 5 was when the series kind of fell, but it was a great game to play with a friend and most of the time had a lot to it to keep the player interested without dragging it on. Because basically RE 6 took forever. Sorry for the rant, I'm just upset that Capcom has abandoned the series and made it into a different animal.
Plus I would like your input on my rant, I like a good conversation, not screaming and yelling, I like to see others thoughts and talk about the older games with our opinions and facts, it'll be cool.
RE5 was without question the worst of the series. Nothing they promised came to fruition. Not a single scary moment at all, none of this "light so intense it blinds your character" garbage that they claimed would keep the game challenging while you played. It was just poor, and if you played single player, the AI controlling Sheva was fucking woeful. The fight on top of an active volcano against Wesker really was a stupid design choice as well. I found 6 to be far more tolerable, even though it wasn't a great game - Chris's campaign was a letdown.

In RE6 we have 2 main campaigns: Jake/Ada & 2 campaigns that have literally no effect on the story: Leon/Chris.

The main plot is about Jake having cure blood & Ada confronting her doppelganger.
Chris is a step behind until he kills Haos - a tacked on boss & Leon kills Simmons; not even the main antagonist. Simmons is the Umbrella enemy: but the real antagonist is Ada's Doppelganger acting as the Wesker of the story.
I laughed at the part when the shark was coming and it was giving you the commands and leon wasn't swiming anywhere. and the music for the shark was going.

My favorite will always be the original Resident Evil Remake for the Gamecube but Resident Evil 4 I would say comes a close second.

why is scripted boss battles a sin when, since the dawn of boss battles, they are all scripted? unless you glitch out of it, theres no way to avoid a boss at the end anywhere. also, simmon's plan made perfect sense. if he just kennedy'd the president, the whole media would be meddling their noses on it. but cause a viral outbreak and just say "the president was one of the victims" would not have the media question the killing of the president. remember sherlock holmes game of shadows? I LOVE resident evil 6, its so much fun to play and one of my favorite games but I can understand why people dislike it as re6 lacks pretty much any horror, throughout the entire game I can only remember ever being scared maybe once or twice!
Here's a tip. Go through it slowly. If you fix the pacing yourself it becomes much better.

Probably because it pissed most 'hardcore' Resident Evil fans off lol. It had a really crappy twist (Jake is Wesker's! DundunDUUUUN!) and it completely ditched what made Resident Evil the groundbreaking game it truly was. Honestly - this series died at 4.

Daniel Lätth :) That's okay - as a long time Resident Evil player, this game really disappointed me with how hard they tried to blow our mind with the Wesker child twist. I mean - people have been making Wesker children for roleplays that made MORE sense than Jake did. And that's horrifying lol.

It tries to hard to impress audience by impossible action stunts, while attempts to be a survival horror without survival horror elements. This games is mere a third person shooter, and by this genre, we have many better offers in game market.

I loved this. The replay value, skill upgrade system, noticeable difficulty settings, co-op and the multiplayer. I have 220 hours on xbox 360 and 30 on PS4.
This game is soo boring that when i was watching a friend play it i fell asleep. :|

You repeatedly ask how Sherry survives her injuries, yet the game distinctly establishes that she has accelerated healing due to the G-Virus.
There's a difference between regenerating from a spike through an artery and getting all of her bones broken from a smack from a large metal hand.

Half of the sins where your own comments in situations that where not mistakes or sins of the game, you misunderstood the concept of sin, or/and you're not taking this remotely seriously
also you made a lot of jokes or references and you counted them as sins

Phillip Bathory Sometimes, even the sin counter has issues. "The Room" was just one example where instead of by 1s, he counted by a multiplier. (times 2, x3, x5, etc).. I think this was meant to be in the spirit of Cinema Sins, as clearly they aren't the ones doing it. No stress though. Party / Game on.

Seriously? Chris, Jill and Leon have been in everything in the last 10 years. Claire's the only main character who hasn't had a third or fourth game.

But Leon and Chris were. To add everything up for you Leon was in 4,6 and two movies. Chris was in 5,6 and revelations. Jill was in 5, revelations and that side story on the wii. In all that time they covered, Claire didn't appear. There are so many characters that deserve some spotlight apart from the characters that are so horribly overused, Rebecca, Billy and Carlos just to name a few. It's just plain not fair to think that Jill, Leon or Chris should appear in a game before these characters.

Listen, I like the characters too, but damn am I sick of seeing them. There's this thing called balance that is just one of the many things that Crapcom doesn't understand. Besides... Leon is just a huge cliche, Chris is now a steroid taking, sexist drunk and If Jill had proposed to him by now, he probably wouldn't be in this mess.

RE 1, 3, 4, and 6 are my faves. I personally love 6 for it's co-op the most tbh
