- Just a bit of blues jamming on an old Gibson lap steel guitar. Excuse the white paint on the sweater, sometimes you got to get some real work in between all the guitar playing. The tuning is open D.

Cool!!!!!😊❤
This is as classic example of the old time creativity that the lap steel gave us from artists like this guy. 👍👍👍👍👍
THANK YOU!
This should have 1,000,000 hits on You Tube. I'm thoroughly impressed. Beautiful!!!
Thanks!
Totally agree this is awesome The Gibson BR3
COOL!!!🎉
If I could play like this I’d get nothing done but music. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Thank you!
Sick

Wow! That sounds incredible! Great playing 👏👏👍😃

🤘🤘
Beautiful touch- great vibrato- harmonics and feedback control- some of the best slide playing I've ever heard. Half expected Bonham to come in pounding.
Thank you! I too wish Bonham could've joined in.
Einfach Großartig gespielt...vielen Dank
Danke!
Man that was awesome.

I love lap steel!
Me too!
Yeah, that was great man. Really inspiring.
Glad you enjoyed it!

InCrEdiBle!!! Loved this!
I have this same EH-125 guitar. I have questions about how to replace the 80 year old Capacitor and pots.....any ideas where to start looking?
Aaah come on mate I'm just starting to learn bass and guitar and I have now had to buy a 1960s Hofner 115, strunging to G as I LOVE blues so thanks to you I have to learn LS now 😜 cool beans 👍
Riktigt bra och njutningsfullt det här, broder
Tackar och bockar!
Great jam Andreas!
Thanks Rose!
Blues Rock at its finest! I'm inspired to try a lap steel at 60 since guitar isn't realistic with tendonitis.
Anything is possible through Christ
.....sounds cool 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Bad ass!
Thanks!
Sweet
I like it !!!!! ⛽
The loop backing makes it sound better, though it's mechanical by nature.
If i said you were good that would be a understatement .. You are brilliant👍👍
Thanks a lot!
Så himla skön musik lillebror 🤩
Man tackar!
🎉
COOL
Thanks!
Shades of Gothenburg Blue, thank you Mr. Brink. Fierce tasty playing, love it.
Thanks, I used to live in Gothenburg.
@@AndreasBrink an apt title, at that rate of going. Eh?
White paint on your sweater...It could be a tittle ...You play so good dude ! It was a pleasure to hear. Xcuse my english..i'm french
Thanks! Your English sure is better than my French.
Does anyone know difference between the BR-3 and BR-4? I have a 1940’s Gibson lap steel and am having trouble identifying it. It has almost identical look to this one but also has the addition of a headstock scroll logo “only a Gibson…”
Man, you are so talented! Have you ever recorded an album of original music?
Thanks! I've recorded several the last few years, they're not quiet as accessible as this though. You'll find me on Spotify and all the usual places.
The Lap Steel Guitar (sometimes called a Lap Slide Guitar because you use a Slide to change the pitch of the strings) was Originally designed for Hawaiian Music but you can also use it for playing the Blues because it makes a very Bluesy Sound. You could even play it w/ a Bottle Neck worn on your Left Hand 2nd Finger to get a different sound.
very kool and great tone, how di you achieve that colour?
Thanks! I use the gear listed in the beginning of the video, a Boss OD and a Peavey amp. The p90 pickup is this guitar also has a lot to do with the tone.
@@AndreasBrink thank you
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👌🏻
Thanks!
Finns du på spotify eller liknande? För jag behöver mer! 😂
Ja, det finns en länk under videon. De album som liknar musiken i den här videon mest är Lunar gravity och Pale fear and forebodings.
@@AndreasBrink tusen tack! Keep up the good work! 😊👍
Beautiful!!what tuning are you using?
Thanks! It's open D.
what is the pickup?
It's the oroginal Gibson P90.
What kind of distortion are you using
Most likely I used a Boss Blues Driver.
Wow, det lyder fedt 😎👍
Mange tak!
@@AndreasBrink Hvilken årgang er guitaren? Vildt output den har😳
@@anderstromborgbrstrup4413 Jag tror den är från 1946. Det är onekligen bra output i P90-pickupen!
What kind of rig are you playing through?
A Boss OD-3 into a Peavey Studio Pro 112.
Damned tasty! Lap steel is too often associated with country music.
Next I bet you pull out a harmonica too!!😂🤣 very talented.
Thanks! I'll spare you my harmonica playing though.
D A F# D A D ?
Correct!
