As long as catcher has the device even partially turned away from the mound, cameras can't confirm the button pressed.

It’s kinda hard to steal plays in the nfl considering how many complex formations and play types there are on a playsheet. It’s much easier to estimate what will happen. Signs are vastly different because it all comes down to what a pitcher does.

You can always spot someone who isn't a baseball fan in conversations like this by the way they talk about cheating, like it's all just cheating. But in baseball, there's cheating, and then there's cheating. And finding ways to get away with a little bit of cheating, without cheating, IS baseball. Okay, enough already about the 2017 Houston Astros team and their sign-stealing! It's been five years now, and they were not the only team to be caught using technology to steal signs! For example, both the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees were doing it seasons before, during, and after 2017.
Yes, other teams did it too but they won the World Series so deserve the brunt of the heat. Especially since their punishment was extremely light

Were there reprimands? Yes. Were the higher-ups in the organization who were responsible fired? Yes. Was the team's World Series win stripped from them? No. Was there any stripping of Division Pennants from any other teams who may have also engaged in cheating? No. It is over. It is done. It is beyond time to move on from this past debacle! End of story. Any continued anger is ridiculous. More important things have occurred in the world since then.
