When i see a manong (man) selling them green mangoes with sweet and spicy bagoong (fish paste) i just cant help my self but to stop for a sec and eat. Out of all the street foods i ate i just cant eat balut, i understand why many other foreigners dont like it because of the appearance. but other than that, you should try everything, from bbqs, to isaws and kwek2. god i miss the old days in the philippines i wish i can come back there

i don't understand why people judge other people's culture. It might be weird and disgusting to you, but might be delicious to others. It just depends on your taste and how you were raise. It is ignorant of others to judge other people by their culture and ways. its like how the settlers that's first came to America thought of the natives as savages. Also, so what if you are vegan or vegetarian, it doesn't give you the power to say that others who eat meat or egg is nasty. its like judging someone's religion because if differs from your own. learn how to respect peoples differences .-.

And as Filipino it fascinates me also that they were able to retain the language while in greater Manila, it's more on English. I wish the govt did not abolished the Spanish subject in college way back in the 90's.

You have not seen Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. He is the man that ate a balut that gone rotten and ate no more of the rotten egg.But Andrew couldn't eat Durian and walnutts, favorites of Mark. Andrew Zimmern is a hero of Mark. But Manilla is a lot better than Bhutan and more entertaining. The market is amazing, so many different people; young and old mixing together.
This video is an example that's keep me with awe for people that's make a living in market stalls. Thanks Mark for a beautiful video again !
