Great vid amigo. I’m on the road for sales all over GA and you’re right, gotta just let that stuff go. Once I figured that out, it amazed me how when I’d get flipped off or whatever how relaxing it was to just smile and wave and say “have a great day” even though the flipper couldn’t hear me.
i honestly think your retort after he flipped you off was perfect.. there was no swearing involved, it was as politely put as you could have ever put it. absolutely loved it, and the video, have a great weekend!
I'll take 50 degrees over the 30 we are expecting here in WI tonight! You are the furthest from having any anger issue. The guy in the other truck seems to have the issue. Another relaxing ride to end my week. Love seeing the different places you go. Bloopers at the end are a classic. Look up Bill Dance on here. He had so many producing his fishing show that he has many DVD sets of them. Safe travels and God bless.
Late to the show, watching this as I'm rolling out to Vancouver and Seattle Washington on Sunday morning. I've woken up to bees all over my back door in Montana from one of them trucks, just beehave yourself. Already had my first angry driver b4 I got out of the twin cities. Happy memorial to you and your family Kurt.
Greetings from the Ohio Porters…again! 🤩 You mean he gave you the..”You’re number ONE symbol?” Oh well…you did pull out in front of him…but wait…you’re a fellow trucker and truckers are allowed to make a mistake. No matter what, he didn’t need to show his bug side! 😳 The camera/phone that you used on this trip really picked up that deep Cat engine sound…I was getting goosebumps at one point! 😁 I love a Cat engine!!!!🥰 I’m glad that Opie didn’t get stung by those chillin bees! Good stuff!
You should see them going down the road. They will be on the outside of the netting, flying along the trailer. These trucks are all over the the southwest. Pollinating all the citrus groves and fields.
Lol "You should probably start using all the steps".....I have the same problem..it never fails...wash one of the vehicles and it rains 🌧 shortly after!
Steak joint is only open Thurs, Fri, and Sat. You must have been there on of the other days! LOL I had a bad experience with a truck hauling bees once at the TA in Chambersburg PA. They had a box of them broken and there was a huge swarm of the around the truck and they were mad as hell. They went to stinging anyone or thing they could get to. Horrible experience. That net does little to hold them in.
We all make mistakes pulling out etc as long as I got a wave I was good with it. You were nice with your response cause mine would’ve been a lot worse. And he does have a plastic truck it’s okay to say it.
My first time here watching you drive. You missed the by-pass west of Dodge City. All truck traffic is to go around Dodge City now. Except for loading/unloading, except for National Carriers! I live in La Crosse, haul for a company from Osborne and load out of McPherson, NAPCO(North American Pipe Company). I pull a 48' skateboard, spread axle and drive an 2018 389 Peterbilt.
Hi there. Another great vlog. That's unfortunate about the steak place. I did not see the hours on the door. Unfortunate the mexican place had an off day. Maybe the steak place will b open next trip. Love the close up of Opie. Have a blessed holiday weekend. Give the family my best. 💕
Great video Opie walk about on top of hill overlooking the feedlots.. The Ellsworth Steakhouse as very peculiar hours. The mexican place is an old Dairy Queen building.
I was wondering that, if that was the old Diary Queen building! Used to always stop to get me a blizzard! Now I'm stopping in Hoisington for my blizzard!
I used to pick up at the National plant in Liberal. Somehow always got a spot next to the holding pens. It was always interesting for me to go to bed with full pens, then waking up to those same pens empty.
That's Hilarious, when you drove through Omaha I said, He just got his truck washed now it's raining 🌧. You read my mind by knowing we were saying that.Never fails when you get your truck washed it rains. Stay Safe.
That was comedy gold "go see if your plastic truck floats" lol and think skinny think skinny 🤣he was one mad truck driver it looked like a genuine mistake on your behalf and at least you said sorry oh well I'm guessing that he was having a bad day lol I too have been to a factory and been told not here driver it's round the corner and it was 5 miles away 😉oh well I'm guessing it's all part and parcel of trucking I was gutted about the steakhouse being closed would have loved to have seen a sizzling steak 😉thanks for another fantastic video stay safe out there and keep a eye on the most famous dog on UA-cam from joff in the UK
Hi Kurt , do you guys in the U.S have to put the registration plate of your truck on the back of the trailers you haul and then take them off after dropping the trailer like we have to do in the U.K ? Cheers Steve
It's pretty bad when your in Kansas, right across from National Beef and you can't get a steak dinner. I'll make up for you and have a big rib eye for supper tonight. As for the bees, they are on their way home after pollinating the crops out on CA for the winter. Now, it's back to work in the Midwest.
Stupid question time - Does a trailer ever drop off of the king pin? Have you ever seen that on the highway? I just can't wrap my head around so much weight being attached at one point. It's 47 degrees in Coralville. I'm freezing, but refuse to start up the furnace again.
Yup sure does. If those teeth don't lock. It's gone. If those teeth malfunction it's gone. Ive seen it 3 times 2 in a yard and 1 on the highway. I almost did it years back, but I caught it before the trailer dropped off the truck.
Another great video. Really enjoy your videos and getting to see your family life as well. Do you ever get over by Dubuque, Iowa? One question I have. I'm retired now and not on the road very much but I see a lot of videos on UA-cam about cars that mess with trucks (break checking, etc.) do you ever encounter much of that? Like I said I'm a new subscriber but have watched a bunch of your old videos. You seem like a pretty straight up guy. Stay safe and I look forward to your next video.
Kurt, there are hundreds of thousands of Bee's in each one of those hives.. As far as stopping with bee's you have to stop at night, or in the cold, or for a very very short time. If you stop during the day and the bee's start to come out of the hives then you can not move the truck even an inch till dark. If the bee's come out of the hives the hive HAS to be EXACTLY in the same spot for them to find their way back in it. When he unloads that trailer there will be around a 1/4 to 1/2 inch of dead bee's on the entire trailer this is normal... Keep in mind honey bee's only live 5-6 weeks... So ALL's fine, that driver is doing the right thing.
Good 🌅☕that truck driver noticed that it waz u in 1st class he saluted u as for those 🐝's their history😆😂u stepping on them and 1st class rolling over them tell OPIE 👋 🍔😋as always keep on trucking 🚚&be safe✌☕☕
Hello Kurt, quick question for you about buying a truck. Why did you go with an older truck rather than a new truck with emissions controls. Do you find that the 8 plus MPGs are not worth it in the newer trucks? Does 1st class cost you more than 15cents a mile in repairs? The reason I am asking this is because I'm about to buy a truck.
No, she would average run maybe .10 a mile and thats just saving it back. Older trucks are my thing. I love the dependability of the cat engines, I love the curves or lack of that the interior has. But most of all I'll never spend over 50 grand for a truck. I don't like having truck loans. Pay it off for the truck works for me vs having a payment every month. Old definitely has bad days, but they are further apart then new is what I hear.
Curious as to what you had for supper at the Mexican restaurant ? You get a chance ask for a" torta Alambre ". Its a Meat sandwich with several types of meat in it .My Buddy From Lunas Tacos in Wayne Nebraska makes them .I'd rather eat one of his torta's than a prime rib of the same size.
if you was in Pa. on highway 30 and missed a turn, you'd be screwed as you'd have to travel quite a ways to turn around. i did that once, ended up turning around in a school parking lot and it really didn't have good turning room with a 53 ft trailer, but i did it.
Except for the W900,T800,389,370,most trucks are glued together and look the same from a distance. There's so much plastic under the hood of newer trucks that trying to heat them you might mistakenly set something on fire.
Lol. Had a liftgate broke in the down position on the side of the road, had a cop tell me to move that trailer right now. I told him the tools were in the back of the pickup, if he could fix it any faster, go for it. He decided to get in his car and leave. Lol the crazy stuff on the road
How long does your beard take to grow its sideburns? I ask only because I see no sideburns in one episode only to see them appear in the very next episode.
Lol you think your move was bad, I was rolling through Colorado and blew a red light through a weird right turn in front of a dual tanker. Apologized on the CB and he put me on blast haha.
Very true

Good on you man. Humility is such a rare commodity. Blessing to yah.
i honestly think your retort after he flipped you off was perfect.. there was no swearing involved, it was as politely put as you could have ever put it. absolutely loved it, and the video, have a great weekend!

Gotta love Dodge City, I passed by there last week and picked up in Liberal. I resisted the urge to wash the truck before I got there.
On the walk back from the resteraunt dude was photo bombing you hard 😂 - safe travels
I seen that in edit
Great video! Also wondering where you purchased the steps for Opie to get in and out of the truck?

I always say if you want it to rain, wash your ride!
Just subscribed, love your humor.
Yep on the bees! Slow when cold. We gotta have bees! Grandpa was a farmer but also a big time beekeeper (apiary)!
Hi 👋 safe travels , sweet dreams 😴
Didn't know you come down to my parts, I haul chubbies in there all the time. Safe travels out there, Hopefully catch ya sometime.
When the bees wake up and the truck gone they’re gonna be like what the **** chuck
The mirror sign is true for cars. That is what I used to tell people that think they are helping me back in.

I feel your pain with the washing, washed the car on Saturday, Sunday night it rained mud...... well I guess a clean car wasn't what I wanted :)
Hi Kurt , do you guys in the U.S have to put the registration plate of your truck on the back of the trailers you haul and then take them off after dropping the trailer like we have to do in the U.K ? Cheers Steve
No. The plate stays with the trailer
Keep trucking stay safe
Opie had sad eyes when he didn't see no food done good job on the video

Kurt , whats your opinion on most of the big trucks now a days having automatics trans,.in them ?
Easy, owners are looking for the easiest way to make money. Less time spent training . Its understandable to a point.
