      I think him and Damon Harris is neck and neck when it comes to the tenor spot. Both were great. RIP Mr. Harris.

    This was absolutely excellent 1st hand knowledge. This beats anything you could read of someone else's account. Eddie was also my idol and I sure appreciate your attention to have his back. I hated seeing him go down on the voice, but I didn't lose any respect for him. I have been singing his stuff since I was 10 years old. He was truly the best tenor I had ever heard. Thanks, Glenn, for your standing beside him (Eddie) in his time of need.

      lung cancer was destroying eddies singing voice...it's clear nobody knew...and maybe even eddied didn't know at the time. when he found out he had lung cancer and the doctor told him he would need to have chemotherapy to treat it and he would lose his hair, Eddie declined the treatment and he eventually died from it. dam shame! what a voice he had!! only 1 !!

    Yes, Mr. Leonard’s version of Silent Night is legendary❤ It’s a classic and I play it from Nov-Jan. It’s up there with Nat King Cole and Mariah Carey Christmas Classics. Glenn Leonard should write an autobiography. We need to hear the truth and not just Otis’ story.

    The last album Glenn recorded
    with the Temptations was
    “Surface Thrills” which was
    released on February 18th,1983.
    He’s in between Richard Street and
    Melvin Franklin on the album cover.
    And Eddie didn’t even come back.
    Ron Tyson took his place.

    • @TSTrecords
      @TSTrecords Рік тому +2

      Exactly how did he quit before that album was recorded. Plus Eddie and David became a duo.
      Questions missed..why did they let Damon Harris go and give them the opportunity to audition anyone
      What did he think about Ron Tyson replacing him, Ron Tyson wrote songs for the temptations while they were on Atlantic Records with Louis Price.

    • @Deayjay
      @Deayjay Рік тому +3

      The "Surface Thrills" was actually recorded in 1982 then released in Feb. 1983. Glen was definitely gone from the group the end of 1982, because they filmed a live show at Harrah's in Atlantic City Jan. of 1983 with Ron Tyson. Glen sings on The Surface Thrills record and is pictured on the cover, but he was gone before it was released.

    Only one question that I wanted to know, and that was how he knew the position opened up and why Damon left the group?
    But I’m really appreciative of this interview and even explaining why he left the Tempts, and as a real fan I had never heard that story

    I saw where Otis and Dennis interviewed with different interviewers talking about the reunion The money, Eddie, David. Otis really didn’t want to do the reunion but was talk into it. The agreement was The 5 now Temptations members plus the 2 Original Lead singers If all 7 didn’t show they wouldn’t get paid! Otis and Eddie didn’t get along at all before Eddie left The Temptations. Otis said David couldn’t be trusted. All The Temptations needed the money that The Temptations Reunion would bring in great income for everybody. Berry Gordy, Otis, Melvin everyone saw right a way before the taping of The Reunion. Eddie had lost his Voice had cancer of the lung they later found out. Otis talked about Eddie trying to fight him before he left the temptation. David didn’t show up for a show right when Otis son die. Watching The Temptations movie it shows a lot that happened so is the movie wrong about the Reunion? Dennis interviewed about reunion and what happened being In shocked about Eddie Voice. ??? I hate all this happen I Love all of The Temptations. Dennis Edward interviewed with Tom Merco answer a lot questions.
