Franchi is a branch off of benelli so it seems fitting that with the release of the benelli lupo, franchi would release their own rifle. Should be very interesting to see how they stack up to one another as there is a considerable price difference.
That’s a sharp little rifle. I’m a fan of short bolt lifts because I like scopes with large eye boxes due to their brightness. CD my friend, it’s been cabin fever up in Alberta too. Almost 10 days of -39°F with wind chills down to -51°F. That’s Fahrenheit!! I saved you the Celsius math. Has me dreaming about shooting summer prairie dogs with you. Hell Im gonna go watch a couple of those vids now to feel better. Keep on keeping on, you’re a good man.
I use the 165 grain SST’s in my 30-06, and it loves them. Great accuracy and excellent knock-down power. The Franchi rifles were sold here, but they didn’t take off for some reason, and that was the end of them. They looked OK, and they were quite reasonably priced, particularly towards the end of their run. It was the Franchi Horizon they were selling here. And when they stop selling things, the supply of parts and accessories soon dries up, and the firearms in question become almost worthless, which is a shame. A lot of good firearm, and good calibers for that matter, have fallen by the wayside in similar circumstances. I’ll be very interested to see how this one shoots. Another good vid. Cheers from Down Under.
You will like Franchi quality, CD. I have a 16ga Instinct SL over/under. Love the hell out of it! Looking forward to seeing how that Momentum shoots those cast bullets.
I have many Berettas and a rare Benelli M3 select fire semi/pump 12 gauge. My favorite Beretta pistols are the M9/92FS and 950 BS Jetfire and 21A Bobcat tip up barrels. Also have a 87 Cheetah in .22 LR.
Be mindful that the military 308 brass (7.62x51) is a fair bit thicker than 308 win brass. If you run the same load in both cases you may have pressure issues in the nato brass. Nice looking rifle.
Did you ever adjust the trigger weight and if you did, can you post a video? Got the momentum Elite Varmint rifle and I'd like to adjust it to the lightest setting but the manual Franchi sends is pretty useless
Does this rifle have a pressed in barrel? They put no thought into this, Neither did Mauser with their M18. Bergara got it right. Franchi and Mauser should have had threaded barrels, Remington lugs and Remington Footprints.
@@geraldlocklear4373 yes thank you, i fiddled with it for a little bit and then realized i hd the bolt cocked or uncocked when trying to return it, i forget which but it finally went in just fine. 👍
Hi and Thanks for the review. I am thinking of getting a new Franchi " Elite " in .308 . How was the accuracy ? I want to set up a dedicated long range target rifle and I was thinking of getting either this rifle or a Tikka . The Franchi Elite seems to have a lot of good features for a budget priced rifle.
The magazine on this gun is absolute garbage. Its literally all plastic and it falls out of the mag well and does not stay seated. The 350 legend model.

Momentum was released a year or more before the Lopo.
Cool, can't wait to see how it shoots.
You and me both! The weather is to be around zero for a couple weeks, so it will be a while.

Got one in .243 a couple weeks ago but haven't shot it yet ... seems to get great reviews
Saving my pennies to get a suppressor for it.
Where can you get a suppressor for it ?
Awesome video, thanks for the breakdown!
Thank you!
It's good, to have a bit of Momentum.
Beautiful!👍🏾😀❤️🇺🇸

That is why we always separate brass and work loads up for each.

Sorry, I never did anything with the trigger.
Boas tardes coloquei um supressor a munição pica o cano podera ser do cano ou supressor com defeito

Sounds like you should have just bough a Remington.
The action bolts. Are they not metric?? 4mm?? What is the proper torque pressure in inch pounds??
Ever find out?
Good videos
Can you give me a few hints about how to get the bolt back in ,,, I’m having some trouble. Thank you
Have you got this straightened out yet?

The Franchi is a better value $$$
Why can’t I click the bell and change the alerts?
You suppose it has anything to do with Y-Ts dislike for anything 2A.
5/8" X 20?
5/8x24
Would you prefer this or the M18?
I would go with the Mauser, but it is $200 more at full retail.
Did the trigger have much creep
No, very sweet. Think I'll drop it down to 2.5lbs just for target shooting.
@@cavedweller1959 I'm very interested in buying one , but I'll wait and see how it shoots and hear your thoughts on it.
@cavedweller1959 Did you ever adjust the trigger? Do you know the torque spec for the action screws?
way better than a 700???? nahhh
