    SMACK DUDE!!
    After watching DIY videos over many years, I've seen only a couple of videos of this quality.
    It's quality videos like yours that give people the confidence to fix things ourselves.
    Thanks!!

      You’re Welcome 🤙🏻 We Never Use It With A Double Lip Seal Unless The Case Is Messed Up Where The OD Of The Seal Goes In

    What year was the transmission you did video with. I have a 1981 shovel head. Will the double lip seal work in that? Thanx

      Only to 79. Yours would have a different seal and seal runner, you can do the silicone trick though

    Where do you get the deep socket to remove the nut?

    Since there is no gasket between the spacer and shaft, wouldn't it make more sense to apply gasket maker/silicone between them as well?

    • @Stew_mcandrew
      @Stew_mcandrew  10 місяців тому

      You don’t want gasket maker/silicone getting into your bearing if you are talking about applying silicone to the inside surface of the seal runner that goes onto the high gear

    How bout the little seal inside where the shaft comes out,thats the one that leaks.the big seal is easy and doesnt leak like the smaller seal ,just sayin

    • @Stew_mcandrew
      @Stew_mcandrew  Рік тому

      If so you’ll probably have to change it along with your high gear bushing, premature failure of the high gear seal is usually from the bushing being wore out🤙🏻

    And I would never drive a seal in like that. The method distorts the seal body that could cause leaks. Use a proper driver or make one.

    I used the screw but a dent puller instead of prying on it
