A NATURE RESERVE MOORING and a visit to see Mother VLOG 50

- I step onto the towpath to explore and discover another beautiful woodland walk. I check out more of the peatland bog. I discover old tramway lines, once used for moving peat in wagons and worked by horse or man and transported to the main West coast main line. I also make a journey to see my mother in the town of Droitwich in Worcestershire, where I discover the Droitwich Barge Canal originally opened in 1771 and engineered by James Brindley.
The Journey started here... I once lived in the fast lane of life, happily married of 26 years, with two children. That chapter was suddenly shattered by the sudden loss of my wife to cancer, which led me in to depression and homelessness. Waking up in hospital, after attempting to take my own life, with just a suitcase, kayak and bicycle and no money, I've managed to rise up out of the darkness and find happiness and continue my next chapter.
I'm a self taught film maker, and creating these vlogs, it gives me something to do, share my personal experiences as I continue my journey cruising and living life on the canal. Please do consider supporting my channel below... Thank you Dave

May I ask a question? As I have seen narrow boats going through tunnels and lowering their stove pipes- I am curious about the two box-like structures atop your sweet Isnis? They must be happy in tunnels?

Hi Jane, my boxes are fine under bridges. For tunnels they have to come down. I remove the chimmey cowel /cap for bridges. 🙏
