I don't buy anything that comes in a Tetra Pak, but I've been juggling the idea of a paper reprocessing/recycling business and _think_ the process I'm presently employing at home might work for Tetra Paks as well. If it does, that's more access to actually recycling these things rather than just being burnt in _waste-to-energy_ facilities! 👍
Thankyou, though, for presenting a very easy way to recycle the card¹ from these in kerbside collections! Seeing that's most likely a Tesco carton you're recycling here, I will definitely say that _Every little helps!_ 🌍❤👍
(¹ - It might also be possible to separate the foil and plastic by soaking in warm water with a detergent - It depends on what adhesive they're bonded with - But with many kerbside collections not accepting foil or plastic films, putting them in a _waste-to-energy_ stream (Many UK councils do this with refuse now) is probably more efficient than the former. 😇)

If it were that simple. The Soya milk cartons from my supermarket here in the UK come in tetra-packs with a sandwich of aluminium, cardboard and PE plastic. They are just about impossible to recycle and the local recycling collection won't take them. It's apauling that so many products come in these containers and despite a lot of 'green-washing' advertising hyping up tetra-packs, the reality is that in the UK we are way behind the curve on recycling.

We're definitely behind the curve when it comes to recycling these - Our nearest facility for this is in Sweden, and goodness knows how Brexit is likely to block export of Tetra waste there for processing! 🛂
(I came here mainly to see how an everyday UA-camr does it, rather than look at Tetra Paks own (Likely biased) process overview. 👍)
But one thing I will add; The carton being recycled here looks to be a carton for Tesco UHT skimmed milk, which will probably be close to or identical to the ones your soya milk comes in. 😇

What about the layer of Aluminium and plastic? Simple solution: do not buy anyithing that use Tetra Pak/composite materials. We can find milk and beverages in a simple plastic bottle in shops. Do not buy composite materials!!!!
