Milfuelle100 he didn’t really get interesting until season 2 for me when you see how nice he can be but even then he’s possibly at his worst there. When Sybil does and the arrival of James is when his character really starts to shine

@@en1909s9iah well even then, he was more than likely going to get fired in season one but he left to join the war, after that he was only able to get a job at Downton because he helped when Carson got sick and the only reason he was made a Valet then despite the stealing was because someone found Isis after he lost them, and the only reason he wasn't fired here was because the place was literally on fire

Revealing why she did what she did would mean revealing that she was seduced and had an out-of-wedlock relationship, which was a pretty big deal back then. There was no way for her to keep hiding the fact that she was a convicted thief, but she may have thought that revealing that she was not only a thief but also a "fallen" or "disgraced" woman was even worse.

Thomas is one the most disgusting character in this show. Bates is the reason he had the chance to stay in downtown and he is still after him and bullying Baxter while he is at it. He will be a even more disgusting valet. He should be fired.

Barrow becoming the butler of downton abbey is so ridiculous. He Should have been fired from the beginning. Actually, they should've Fired him every season.. Always had had some dark twisted Game. I don't care of whatever he had become.. That suddenly become pure hearted and wonderful man.. And become everyone's favourite Characters will Never make sense.

I've read somwhere that the character of Thomas Barrow was supposed to die after the first season, but they liked him so much they kept him till the end.
