Notebook 📒 Wallet 👛 Kitchen appliances 👩🏻🍳 Reusable water bottle and mug 🍶 Bra 👙 Office supplies ✏️ Phone case 📱 Christmas tree 🎄 Heels 👠 Cleaning supplies 🧹 Lovely video as always! 💞
We actually have two vacuums, one ordinary and one robot.. At first I hated the thought of having two.. but now I’m okey with it because I realized it’s pretty nice to come home to a home free from cat litter... before we needed to vacuum like 3-4 times a day because our cats are just impossible when it comes to walk slowly out from their toilet.. 🙄 So the robot takes care of their mess, and the other vacuum takes care of our mess.. I guess 😄
A year ago I started buying only things that I REALLY like, and I'm feeling so much happier now. It brings me so much joy to use things that are completely to my taste and style, and I really stopped caring about how many of them I have. I own only one phone case because I'm not a fan of cute cases, but I have 5 mugs just because I adore cute mugs. I guess, there's nothing wrong with owning more than one of some things unless you own TOO much of them. I always ask myself these questions before buying anything: 1. Do I really need it? (This means: have I already thought about it for more than a couple of months/years? lol) 2. Will I really use it for quite a long time? (Is the quality good enough? Or: will I get bored of this thing?) 3. Will it really bring me joy? Will I feel happy when using it? If the answer is "yes" at least 2 times, it's 70-90% that I'll buy this thing (it depends on money, too).
I’m trying to be more and more minimal. I’ve realized that even though I love many things, when I have many, I still only use a few. When I have less, I feel like I appreciate my things more.
You are honestly a breathe of fresh air. Your style is updated, new and fresh.. I am much older than you are, so I am impressed with the level of understanding you have on so many issues. You have the wisdom of a much older person. Good luck to you, because you deserve it because you are doing the best job out there, in the decluttering, minimalism area. Thank you for giving all of us, even us older adults, some great, new advice. And keeping us updated and fresh.
Need vs want is not always easy, thank you for your ideas Ashlynne 😊 I love my notebook as well, it's something special about using pen and paper rather than a laptop 😊
Great video! I'm currently thinking about what things I want to have in my new flat (furniture, cleaning supplies, etc.) and your videos are always a nice reminder that I don't need that many things actually :)
Could you also do a video where you touch on things you should have more than one of, but talk about the reasonable amount to have (bed sheets, towels, 'painting clothes', backups for when you run out of things, etc)
Agreed about Christmas decor! My only decoration is my tree, and I've found that it's made my tree so much more meaningful and special. I've also invested more thought into really special ornaments for it, whereas when I had a ton of Christmas decorations, I paid way less attention to each individual ornament.
I don’t consider myself a minimalist but I own: No notebooks (use my phone) No books (I read online) No seasonal decorations (it’s a hassle to take them down lol) No slow cooker, toaster etc (I use pan or pot) No to go bottle (I drink at home and have no habit of walking around with a drink) No office supplies except for a pen (who staples stuff these days anyway lol)
I always feel like I have way to many things..but your videos help me to understand that I dont. I have one thing of most categories you mentioned. It helps me to stay positive and keep on going on my minimalism journey! Thank you Ashlynne! :)
I would love to see some fall time videos, where you bake certain types of pies, or paint certain autumn photos, or even practicing hygge in the autumn season. I love fall so much, so I find these kinds of videos to be so fun!!!
I've never even thought about having more than one. Then found out that people have many cases. Don't get it at all. I keep one case and one phone until it breaks, or I give it to someone and get a new phone.
Srijani D. Totally agree! It’s honestly exactly the same as what you’re saying. I don’t own more than one case but to each their own... I probably own more of some other item that I personally love but others don’t. 🤣 People need to realize the way they are choosing to minimize their possessions isn’t how somebody else has to and that is totally okay.
I am starting to adopt minimalist life. I do own 1 item each what you shared except for notebook and pen. I have multiple notebooks and pens as i am preparing for competitive exams and i need them to make notes.i buy pens in bulk as i tend finish 1 pen within 4 to 5 days and when that happens i have to be prepared as it will disturb my study flow. And i love your channel.😍
I have.... 1. Two notebooks 2. One wallet 3. I also have one of each kitchen stuff except coffe i have one different for quests 4. one water bottle 5. One bra 6. No office stuff, only pens... 7. One phone case 8. No christmas tree 9. One short heels 10. One of cleaning stuff like broom, and more.
I am not going to lie, I do own more than one of many of these items but I think I am giving them fair usage. I do try to not buy more things and try to make a difference that way. I will be doing a declutter soon though. 🧡
There’s definitely nothing wrong with owning multiple of these items if you use and get value from them! But I love that you’re trying to think through and be intentional about it!
I admire your confidence about your body! I am beginning to wear bralettes and donating the underwire padded bras...I have never been more comfortable! The older I get I just want to be comfortable LOL
I don’t know if anyone has heard of this but to decrease the size of your wallet again there’s a app called Stocard where you can put all your loyalty cards & bank cards etc on so you don’t have to carry any out with you. I’ve used it for 3 years now & it’s done me well + you get magazines from shops on there so less paper buying as well. Hope this helps someone out ☺️
Stephanie Fogg that takes people time up though then there becomes a massive queue & that’s more contact with the person at the till which is bad at the times. If everyone did that it would be stressful on the cashier
You're too cute! I had to laugh about the bra. When I was young I definitely had to have support. I had it and I flaunted the "girls". Now in my 60's gravity has taken its course and I feel like tying them behind my neck halter-style to get them out of the way! And with Covid,
I feel like bras and bralettes are exactly the same thing. Just your choice for if you need more or less support. Just because it has a different name doesn't mean it's actually different. (pants or jeans or slacks... all basically the same thing if you're American)
Your minimalist lingo cracks me up 😂 11:23 The only things I only own one of, is a Laptop - and I don't even use it Sleeping pillow Counter mirror Snow pants, shoes, jacket Insulated water bottle 40oz Wide brimmed sun hat Stuffed lamb Stuffed Mammoth Doll , yes I kept my fave since childhood Keyboard, mandolin, violin, xylophone, and one flute recorder One pair of bookends for my book case One book case A wind chime One storage unit 🤣

My travel mug I take out with ice in it and then can pour a soda in or water and have chilled. When it comes to office supplies, things come undone......perhaps I could blame being a teacher and parent of school age children. I have literally bought no new stationary this COVID year and am still going. Rulers, pens, whiteboard markers.....books....aim to use them up and have a list when shopping.
Me, watching this video: Appliances, check! Wallet, yes check - same one for 12 years! Notebook... hmmm, they seem to breed in my bookshelf and I cannot explain how. Note to self, declutter old notebooks. Bras.... one? ONE!? Life is definitely not the same over here in the kingdom of BigBoobLand. (Go and cry in the corner with my $120 size 34H and wish underwear were that simple 😅) Thank you, I enjoy all your videos
Love this video! I have multiples of many items I own and I am struggling to de clutter and minimise.. I should start with my heels since I almost never wear them. Thanks for the inspiration
If you buy a new phone case, consider getting a Pela case! They're 100% biodegradeable and compostable cases from a really good company. I know Shelbizzleee has a code if you like. I have one, and it's really, really nice - both to look at and feel. It's also super functional. I really love mine ♡
I'm still getting used to different cultures in which it is considered a normal thing to "own" a plastic tree for Christmas. I get that it's very warm in some regions in America, especially the Southern ones, so a tree wouldn't live for a very long time, but it's still really weird for me having grown up in Germany where it's normal to either buy or cut down a real tree for Christmas every year. To me it not only looks better but it also gives you a choice to switch it up with the kind of tree, the height and so on every year. Also I love going around, looking at the different trees and once it's standing in your living room it just smells AMAZING. I would never ever buy a fake tree (they are sooo expensive if you wanna get a good one)
We're in the UK and have always had a fake tree as my mum is allergic to the real trees. We have a very realistic looking tree which was a bit of an investment originally and it looks great.
You’re such an inspiration to me. It’s hard to start but I did it, now just trying to keep up with it. I’m starting by doing my own things, then move to my husbands things and lastly would be my kids’. Any suggestions on how to do it without feeling guilty
I also have only one of each item on this list! Guess I have reached some sort of minimalism everyday life *goals* The only thing that I can’t have one of is clothing items. I need more than one shirt and so on.
A few of these I own multiples of so I definitely can let them go. I bought a black phone case once and could never find my phone in my black purse LOL. It had to go.
Speaking of One notebook, how do you declutter the used planner? At some point we will finish all the pages. My planner has a-z of my personal and professional life i dont want to give it for recycle (fearing someone might go through it). But it takes so much space. I am in dilemma whether to gather myself and get rid of it or to pile up my space with these notebooks 😥
Love waht you have and only one I only have one wallet that my siter gave me for my birthday years ago.of cleaning I don't have alot but to clean my bathroom and my tub just vinegar dawn soap dish and water and into a spray bottle. Now with hair accessories I went crazy. I want to get better at it 2021 😘🌱🌾
I pretty much own one of these items too...except heels (I own one casual heel and one pair of heels for my job [flight attendant], and also bras. I have a few but I hate them. I need to find bralettes that will fit me. -Also, my mom needs to follow the one appliance rule...she has TWO ice cream makers and she has only used ONE of them about 5 years ago. 🤦🏻♀️
Haha love this Danielle! Sounds like you’ve really taken this one and applied it to your personal situation! Having two pairs of heels in your case makes perfect sense. And that’s so funny about your mom! 😅🤍
Haha I just quit bras altogether! I use workout tops with built in support and sometimes I'll layer with a cami or use nipple covers...but mostly I just free book it! I'm a D cup too and I just don't give a f...!
the only reason i own 2 phone cases is because of this covid stuff. they are both pela cases so they are biodegradable but i switch them out when i want to sanitize the one i was using

What app do you use for editing your UA-cam videos?
What do you do with the notebook wants it is full? I have journals and planners/notebooks from years ago and don’t know what to do with them.

Ok but does it count as "one" if I have 10 of the same color shirt and am a Matt D'Avella wannabe?
I’m the same, but I’m a woman: I have 8 of the same t-shirt. So: am I the female Matt D’Avella? Thats would be wonderful :D
Multiple colors of the same shoes lol
Hahaha not quite but that’s pretty close 😅
Theoretically. It simplifies the time you waste on making the choice of shirt.
I think it does. She stretched the rules a bit so why not you?

Is it common to own a plastic christmas tree in the US ? Because here in Germany everyone I know buys a real one every year 🤔

Hey from DUBAI LOVE YOUR vids 😍😍
Aww thanks so much! 🤍
OmG your city looks amazing! I'd love to visit there one day!
Priscilla Jimenez hopefully you will in the near future 😘😘
I love these videos!
Ahh that’s awesome Danielle! I love them too, so when I got a suggestion that I should do another I was completely on board with it! 🤍
Ashlynne Eaton perfect! Keep them coming! They are very inspirational. 💙
Love your videos!!
Thanks Maria! 🤍
I love your beautiful and soothing voice
I looove notebooks. I probably have like 15 of them 😁
Sorry, disconnected. With Covid, the girls come in handy for playing soccer. Consider your petite self lucky! Blessings!!😂
Haha I just quit bras altogether! I use workout tops with built in support and sometimes I'll layer with a cami or use nipple covers...but mostly I just free book it! I'm a D cup too and I just don't give a f...!
I just started to document my journey with minimalism too on my channel 🙈
May I ask what's the brand of your ballpen?
Where can we purchase that notebook??
You are an inspiration 💓
Christmas is my favorite time too.. reaaaaaaly❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Aww I love that! 🤍
I just love you.
I don't even know these things exits lol😜😜
I have the exact same wallet. It's life changing😂.
Could you put a link to your infuse mop?
Whoa more than one tree, type of appliance, and cleaning supply? Yeah one is enough for me lol.
Haha totally agree!! 🤍
I guess the Christmas tree thing would depend on the size if house or space and how ypu decorate...
the only reason i own 2 phone cases is because of this covid stuff. they are both pela cases so they are biodegradable but i switch them out when i want to sanitize the one i was using
I do own multiple vacuums and mops because I’m too lazy to carry them up and down the stairs. Having multiple makes my life easier 😇
What is your skin care and makeup .?!!
Don't know if someone already told you but there is a typo at office supplies.
Haha unfortunately it’s too late to change anything now 😂
I try so hard not to have duplicates too!
Where do you purchase your notebook
