Me and my roommate in Germany tried changing our religion to whichever one had an upcoming holiday. We figured we could get at least 8 days off a year. Our first sergeant said "Fine, I can't stop you from doing that but I CAN put your asses on every detail list that comes along". We quickly changed our minds.

Oh yeah, it’s always that one dude about half a mile or a mile away that’ll notice something he wants to complain about. Great way of capturing that! I’ll never forget I had a no shaving profile for a few weeks, and it was a Sunday of all days, not even a duty day. I was walking across a parking lot on post and heard an E9 screaming at me, which I thought it to be something else going on because it was so far away. Nope, he double time marched his pathetic ass over to me as I was getting in my vehicle, and then realized I was a junior officer checking on my guys that had staff duty and bringing them some video games and food to keep the morale up, because that’s what PLs do. His voice immediately changed and he just asked if I knew the regs and had a profile. It was a quick conversation, I even offered him a ride back, but he refused.

I’m a retired 11BB4 and served from 1983-2009 (all Active Duty) and saw some insane and hilarious stuff in my career.
I understand how life can hit us hard as we go through life. It’s my prayer that you overcome what’s hitting you at the moment, you’re already over the hump on this issue, it’s all downhill from here just keep leaning forward and don’t stop. I also spent 8 years in USAREC in the 90’s and what I experienced, I wouldn’t wish on the devil himself. I pray the “dark side” doesn’t creep back in.
Last time my boy Yusho posted a video I was still in the Marine Corp. I’m very happy he is back.

Lol... happened to me before!!! I had razor bumps (before Bump Patrol) real bad and so they told me I didn't have to shave for a few weeks. Didn't know I had to walk around with the damn doctor's orders in my pocket.
