Spend a lot time in bed or recliner due to spinal cord injury , I mean I can walk and function, just not fast or steady at it,so I watch Joe and like a kid pretend that's it me on his journey, lol,.Hey Joe check out your bama fans, and enjoy your love for being out in the woods or bush as you guys say, your videos presents a humbleness and contentment,Much respect Joe,from Bama
Right there with ya, bud. Been dealing with some nasty sciatica for a while now. Hurts to stand, hurts to lie, I walk around hunched over like an old man. Camping vicariously through Joe right now, but trying to stick with the stretching and exercising and really hoping I can get back on my feet again soon.
I've been binge watching Joe all day today. Netflix? What's that? Seriously though, thanks Joe. I live on PEI. I am 52 years old. When I was 12, I camped in the wild with my sister. I own 2 acres of land in thick wood by a fresh water brook. My 24-year-old daughter and I are going to start building a semi-permanent shelter this Fall. I am learning a lot from you. You are very entertaining and informative. Love your videos
Joe, I love your videos! You taught me how to keep a fire going without any lighter fluid or anything, and was much needed on my last solo trip with my dog. Favorite channel on UA-cam. Love from Alabama!
Joe--don't apologize man for thinking you we know things. It's all about repetition and I freaking love it when you can go back to Bushcraft101 and help us all out. Man, thanks a ton as you have no idea how this can build the confidence of others and get them back outdoors-what it's all about as you know:) Thanks again brotha. -Shane
Joe.. it's half eleven in the UK right now and I was about to go to sleep, but now I won't be asleep for another 50 minutes because of your amazing videos... FOR GOD SAKE JOE
luki lol its not like it will be gone the next day, he doesn't upload daily so it's not so bad if he did. I can see why that would be kinda "😥" because you would need to "catch up".
That song was from Nirvana the album was unplugged in New York but that song comes from the Appalachian region and it has been sang by many people first recorded in the 30s by people like Leadbelly great song.
Just found your videos on youtube Joe and I am hooked, love your approach to everything and life and it has made me wanna get into more outdoor activities. Dont let the ignorant people get you down, you are doing a great job and you teach what you know and never try to be what you are not. I hope to watch many many more videos. Keep up the good work. Sean in Ireland.
Drink your beer, enjoy your life. I'm 52 years old and not a creeper I swear...:) I just find your videos relaxing and it's fun for someone like me to learn a few new tricks so thank you for your little lessons along the way I for one enjoy learning new things. Keep up the good work Joe!!
Joe, super entertaining as always. I've been recently going back and watching your earlier stuff. It's great to see how your craft has evolved and by that I mean specifically the filming. Your channel is quickly turning into one of the best composed and paced outdoor/backcountry channels on UA-cam. Thank you for all the great content!
I love seeing you with My Self Reliance. Please make more vids with him. He is extremely experienced with everything outdoors. He can survive and live of the the land for as long as he wants. love you both.
So happy this is here! Cheers Joe! I needed this today, I've had a hard week and it still isn't over. Thank you so much for helping me forget about all of it and embrace nature :Dm
Love your videos Joe, many thanks for all your hard work.I am a backpacker here in the UK and thanks to you (and Shug) have enjoyed camping in the woods a new experience for me.Not a bushcrafter but now I cut my own pegs for the tarp and cook rib eye steak on my bush buddy! Thanks so much.
Good to see an Ontario boy making us proud on YT. Keep being awesome Joe. Since I stumbled upon your channel, I've recommended it to dozens of people. Canada Proud!
Another nice video, Joe. Good to see you relax a bit more this time. I don't think that it's a bad thing that you film yourself drinking a moderate amount on your videos. It actually shows the youngsters the correct way to imbibe. 1. You're not driving. 2. You're not overdoing it, you're drinking in moderation. Keep up the good work. I'll click on your next video.
Scrambled O Joe Robinet I am a scout leader over here in Australia. Ive got a young scout hooked on your videos, he never went on camps because he hates cooking noodles. You guys show that you can eat well in the bush!
Ed Philp There's a lot of excellent Mountain Man freezed dried meals. Excellent entrees, sides and deserts. Just look into freezed dried foods they're a bit costly but I think for finicky eaters, it's the way to go.
I don't even camp anymore, though I used to be a Boy Scout. I enjoy your videos as Zen relaxation. I get to camp, vicariously, through you. Keep up the great work.
I've often wondered what Joe would do in the event of a zombie apocalypse; however, I realized that he'd probably just use a similar kit set up with a sharpened axe, a folding saw, fixed blade, & his handy-dandy Swiss Army pocket knife. I could definitely see him fishing & / or hunting for his food using snare wire, fishing hook & line, or even perhaps a nice simple Mongolian / recurve bow. I could see him making his own jerky, & foraging more than being some sort of zombie-slayer. He's the survivalist type, only venturing out for necessities like peanut M&M's.
i agree about the tarp/tent camping rant/conversation thing. everytime i camp, i learn something new that works for me. slowly perfecting the way i personally like to camp. i've been slowly transitioning to hammock camping, but it sucks when theres no trees lol! windy, rainy, cold, bugs, no bugs, you learn some new tricks everytime you camp (trial by error). but you gotta go out there and do it.
Joe, how about you organize a camping/bushcrafty Rendezvou with Kyle, Doug, etc? Start an annual tradition! Carve hillbillies, eat bacon, drink beer. Good Times!
My all time fave you should collaborate with is Sean James!!! I think you both have the same appreciation for your craft and the outdoors and respect eachother! Keep your lighthearted attitude up and keeping your way of every time you show how we can know reasons you use or do something and why! I like even hearing what to wear and when the bug's are out and what you think about the weather! It all involves the outdoors! Thanks for a fun time in the bushes!!!
Okay, back to cooking! I would re-hydrate the pieces of jerky by boiling in water the same time as the rice is cooking. I like teriyaki flavored beef, venison, or turkey jerky.
Definitely Mike from TA Outdoors! Also, have you tried out a Tenkara fishing rod? I've been researching them a bit. They seem like a pretty good option for camping/hiking. It will take up less room than what you've got now.
Wouldnt mind seeing a group collaboration with US & UK bushcrafters. You, Doug, Scrambled, Shawn (and one lucky voters choice) go meet MCQ, Zed, Carlisle195 & TA !! Would be EPIC
He can do what ever he wants when he builds his shelter the people who do bush crafting inspired me to go out more and to build a shelter I'm starting to do a shelter thanks to him and other bush crafters
Keep camping and drinking there is no problem with having a drink every now and then I love your videos and I just subscribed. Looking forward to more of your videos... 😍😍😍
Does anyone else live vicariously through him? I absolutely love that his videos are 30-50 minutes long because I'm busy imagining myself there. I tried to leave on a trip about a month ago but figured out on the road that my health isn't even up to urban stealth camping. What I wanted to be a 2-3 week long trip was 3 days of driving out only to spend the other 3 days driving back. I hope someday my health improves enough to find a remote national park to play cavewoman in, but until then I have all the gear I need in a bag, my imagination, and youtube videos of Joe Robinet bushcrafting to sustain my soul. )':
Hey Joe, another good video ! Do a collaboration with me ! I'll get ya a ATV we can go camping here in New Brunswick ! and we will bring a cooler of beer just to piss that complainer off, who complains about drinking a few beer in the woods.... they taste better out there. Anyways I'd like to see you do a video with Scrambled-O, Doug, Kyle, pretty much anyone, keep the videos coming, you give me inspiration for my own videos.
Joe, this isn't to be critical, and you probably know this, but you should put your possibles pouch on top, so if you get hurt, your first aid is easy to reach.
i find that bringing creature comforts like you bring your beer, makes the experience so much nicer, not that its shitty being in the woods i like it, but having a puff from my pipe at the end of the day when you finish building the shelter is so relaxing.
One of the best things about Joe's videos is the lack of annoying banjo music or heavy rock of other vids. Just hearing the ambient noise is way better for capturing the peacefulness and mood of camping.
I like watching this better than the TV shows because your like your own producer and I feel like it’s more down to earth and true to what’s going on, you know? Like it has a better feel to it! Love your content keep up the work
Thank you and well done. Nothing like a Saturday night video to get me motivated to get out tomorrow for a little bush crafting in the Sand Dunes state forest here in Minnesota. As always, great video. As for combined trips, I would like to see you and Mike from MCQ do a couple of nights together. Your high energy, extemporaneous, knowledgable yet loads of fun approach would nicely clash with his even keeled, terribly British approach to all things.
The one Joe is talking about is definitely the Nirvana cover from the unplugged in New York... personally, I've always liked the Janel Drewis cover of the song the best.
just got into Joes videos and got a laugh out of this comment.. anyways. if Bigfoot is real, he would quite literally be the master of everything bush-craft
I love these videos more than the ones where you are on a mission. I can't always get outside and enjoy nature, so I live vicariously through you. It gives me a sense of peace. I particularly love the videos where you are a meal. It's not always about surviving. Thanks for these. P.S. I know others have asked about the portable grill you use, and how you don't remember how you got it... I've been using a baker's cooling rack. It's the perfect grill on an open fire or coals.
I've got to say it was nice to see you relaxed this time around. That last canoe trip was brutal. I'd love to see you team up with bcbushcraft. He has a fairly new channel and he is a big fan of yours, plus you'd get to travel back to the island and actually be able to enjoy it.
That last tripod you were trying to put in, you can pop it apart to make the pieces shorter. I usually pop the legs apart in the center of them to make the whole tripod shorter and more sturdy anyway.
I'd love to see you do a multi-day with Scrambled O. He does a lot of content in his bushcraft camp, it'd be cool to see him get out in the wild with you.
Sage is a nice decision to fight back flu, its pretty much traditional in Turkey. We love drinking it in winter :) Dont put too much, it can be bitter and with honey it makes a good couple :).
Jason Taylor i feel you bruh
Jason Taylor I feel you. 25 and in a wheelchair 40% movement in hands so no fishing camping or really anything but bed for me
Glad you get some enjoyment from the videos, buddy :)
Jason Taylor
pretty awesome comment my friend! God Bless you ;-)
Right there with ya, bud. Been dealing with some nasty sciatica for a while now. Hurts to stand, hurts to lie, I walk around hunched over like an old man. Camping vicariously through Joe right now, but trying to stick with the stretching and exercising and really hoping I can get back on my feet again soon.
When I'm feeling good or extremely stressed which is the case lately, I watch your videos to relax me, it works. Thank you Joe Robinet
Don't worry about the haters.... Just do you, you don't have to justify why you do what you do! I love your videos! 👍😄
I've been binge watching Joe all day today. Netflix? What's that? Seriously though, thanks Joe. I live on PEI. I am 52 years old. When I was 12, I camped in the wild with my sister. Peggy Arsenault I have been watching him 24/7 it’s my life right now.😅
Joe, I love your videos! You taught me how to keep a fire going without any lighter fluid or anything, and was much needed on my last solo trip with my dog. Favorite channel on UA-cam. Love from Alabama!

That song was from Nirvana the album was unplugged in New York but that song comes from the Appalachian region and it has been sang by many people first recorded in the 30s by people like Leadbelly great song.
Leadbelly is the version Cobain covered on that album

Keep being awesome Joe. Since I stumbled upon your channel, I've recommended it to dozens of people.

I do craft beer reviews in my videos (poorly) and I often overdo it, but people seem to love it.
I like how you get pissed and lose count :)
LOL how did you find me here?
Just happen to subscribe to some of the same stuff...like that swamp guy...yessah!! :)
Love rewatching your older videos. Still great quality.
Great to see you go back to basics. That's what we like about your vids. Simple how to. Did your instructions tonight and had a great fire. Thanks
Has Joes videos made anyone who hasn’t went out and actually camped go out and live camping and being in the woods? Because they sure have made me
Mike yessir it made me and my best friend build all kinds of small shelters in a patch of woods
Slick two part video series JR ...when I get time I need to knock you up a fancy Spoon & Kuksa duo ~Peace~

You just get more and more relaxed and comical on every video. Nice skip buddy - don't do that again. lol
HAHAHA! It's true though!! Good times :)
I really like that he's especially chilled and funny in this video.
My Self Reliance did you noticed that he literally moaned in his canoe trip
Thanks, man...come on, the skipping was my fav part!
lol, I don't think so.
I love how natural he is in the camera. He can make you interested in all the stuff he is saying.
Okay, back to cooking! I would re-hydrate the pieces of jerky by boiling in water the same time as the rice is cooking. I like teriyaki flavored beef, venison, or turkey jerky.

ProYagu I wish it was with ta but never know
This has to be the most chill, and fun to create content-channel ever
Wouldnt mind seeing a group collaboration with US & UK bushcrafters. You, Doug, Scrambled, Shawn (and one lucky voters choice) go meet MCQ, Zed, Carlisle195 & TA !! Would be EPIC
I know just the place to meet...
My Self Reliance Ha I got that joke :)
Why not think even bigger... a world bushcraft rendezvous! That would be epic (as Carlisle 195 says).
My Self Reliance Yup that new spot of yours would be great!!
Yeah and let Chef John (Carlise195) bring 17 chickens, 7 pork loins and 6 pails of spuds. For him.
Joe, another awesome video. Thank you.You know how to enjoy the outdoors. The very best to you my friend. Take care and be safe.
I love you Joe keep up the good work (13 like) 😂😂
i always love the cooking part, doing it out in the woods seems so nice :)
"Oohh piece of gum in my pocket... a piece of candy." You're all set for survival now. :)

Robinet Skipping through the pines...
Maritimer joe made that twin Pines double ipa look so tasty! hiss slow sips, and the gulps. gotta get me some!
haha Joe is a closet hipster with all this IPA talk haha jk ! he did make it look good, especially cooled off in the river, it's perfect.
Maritimer you and Joe are my favorite. surprised seeing you here
Hey thanks Randall ! I'm not quite on Joes level haha but I appreciate the comparison! I watch more bushcraft videos than ATV videos for sure.
Nice to hear you sing that song, beautiful song!
You should collab with Dutch Bushcraft Knives!
One of the best things about Joe's videos is the lack of annoying banjo music or heavy rock of other vids. Just hearing the ambient noise is way better for capturing the peacefulness and mood of camping.
Joe, do a collaboration with me. I have 180 acres of pristine wildnerness about 45 minutes north of Belleville.
Texas?
I like watching this better than the TV shows because your like your own producer and I feel like it’s more down to earth and true to what’s going on, you know? Like it has a better feel to it! Love your content keep up the work
Joe i think you should go to a rainforest and stay here about 1 week . Amazon is a good choice :D
Cristiano Ronaldo where he was staying when he filmed Alone on Vancouver Island is considered rainforest.
Best videos on UA-cam, I'm Addicted! Never a boring moment
Do a Video with scrabbled O !!!
YOGZ562 Joe lives in Canada and Scrambled O lives in Ohio US.
Joe lives in Ontario Canada. Did you know you can see Ontario from parts of Ohio, its only a couple hour drive. depending at where he is in Ohio
Just checked a video of Joes, he lives in Windsor so he is about 1 hr and 30 min from the Ohio border.
Cool. Didn't know how close he lived to Ohio. :-)
Joe thanks for making these videos i always get lost in them and when i get lost in a video that means its really good.
a boot perfect aye
loser eh*
Gradyn Lewis s
Leigh Myhre his profile is loser lol I didn't call him a loser
😍 my night is complete... thanks for part 2 Joe!
Do more videos with scout
Oof
Hey Joe! Little handy tip. Wait until your rice is done then drain the water out and mix the butter through the rice, it tastes awesome! Enjoy
you should collab with primitive technology somehow. not sure how that would work since he never talks though.
pretty difficult. primitivetech lives in australia. That's a long distance to travel for a bushcraft video
lmao, what if he decided to talk one day and had a high pitched voice.
wishfolk primtech could build a jet from clay so he could make his way out here :)
That was a great video Joe! Thanks for sharing. Glad you were able to relax a little more than on the last trip.
Joe are you excited for the newest season of Alone!?
Bushcraft Baxter when does it come out
Bushcraft Baxter season 4 will be crazy I hope feel sorry for the runner up for season 3 though
It comes out on Thursday June 15th I believe.
Collab with Zold Outdoors!!!
Great video. For the record, I like the basic information that you occasionally mention. Excellent beer choices.
Joe where you from? Is this canadian wilderness? Beauty.. good job joe 👏👏👏
I love to watch you cook up your meals & have a lil brew here & there. keep up tha good work. Big fan!
My Girl covered by Nirvana but I think made by Leadbelly
Where Did You Sleep Last Night by Nirvana, which was a cover of the Leadbelly tune.
We mustn't forget the late, great Pete Seeger's version of the song.
The one Joe is talking about is definitely the Nirvana cover from the unplugged in New York... personally, I've always liked the Janel Drewis cover of the song the best.
Joe, I SO knew you were going to the river for beer! I yelled it out and my dog said, "Duh." We love watching your vids.
Collaboration with Big Foot
Hopeful Hiker hell yeah. I love bigfoot
red wolf hes a great youtuber
just got into Joes videos and got a laugh out of this comment.. anyways. if Bigfoot is real, he would quite literally be the master of everything bush-craft
Colab with scout
I've got to say it was nice to see you relaxed this time around. That last canoe trip was brutal. I'd love to see you team up with bcbushcraft. He has a fairly new channel and he is a big fan of yours, plus you'd get to travel back to the island and actually be able to enjoy it.
Show Joe! Hug
That last tripod you were trying to put in, you can pop it apart to make the pieces shorter. I usually pop the legs apart in the center of them to make the whole tripod shorter and more sturdy anyway.
feel like a bitch saying it but I don't like beer. but my thing in the woods is smokin a bit of flower.
dave ebrey I always trust weed I buy off a complete stranger
Hey Joe if you would quickly fried little of this date in a butter that would bust your "rissotto" nicely ;)
well you dont wanna smoke when you camp alone in the woods. what if you get on a trip and think there is something out there hunting for ya.
Jason White
To be fair, you buy your beer off a complete stranger as well.
Beer awesome, I brew my own. Might be an idea for Joe and his buds, it'd fit in with the whole bushcraft dealie.
Lovely relaxed video and loving your tips on how to...
Ignore the begrudgers and keep going Joe, you're doing great.
COLLAB WITH KYLE! KYLLEEEEE
yes what up!
where's Kyle?
is he well?
love watching these videos when your chilling out
Scrambled O collab if you are willing or he is willing to travel all that way
Even though I can’t stand beer and I don’t drink, it’s really relaxing and interesting to listen to Joe rave on about his amazing beers.
do a collab with MCQBushcraft
Thanks Joe. Another good video! Enjoyed it.
wheres scout?
no, he said it's because he never takes scout out in the summer because the bugs bother him
HE is off making his own video I'm afraid.

I'd love to see you do a multi-day with Scrambled O. He does a lot of content in his bushcraft camp, it'd be cool to see him get out in the wild with you.
Next trip with mcqbushcraft
