Just wanted to say thank you Marie for sharing your formulations and solid knowledge of skincare ingredients. I am fairly new at this and have learned so much from your videos & blog posts!
Beautiful formula! I have noticed over the last 8 years that my inventory of items to make products is gigantic! I make and sell a lot and my husband finally gave me the ok to buy a out building to build a studio in! Yeah! He says my junk is taking over his and our youngest son's life, lol! So by next summer he should have it all fixed up neat and tidy to move into. I requested two things air conditioning and a large sink for clean up. He told me to get a large enough shed with plenty of storage, because all my junk was out of the house! Hey will get the spare room back and all the closets, lol! Jill
Thank you so much! And a huge congrats on your studio-amazing! I know you'll love having a space to make your messes that is all yours-I certainly do 😄 Make sure you include room for a mini-fridge if you haven't already and if you like taking pictures you might consider having all the lightbulbs be daylight balanced ones for better photos + colour :) Happy making!
I’m really loving Geogard ECT! I was worried it wouldn’t be as effective as, say, liquid Germall plus and to be fair, I’m not testing using a mold testing kit (I don’t sell, this is just hobby, but I’d still like to invest in a kit at some point) but it appears to be working really well in my formulations. I also tried out a more natural solubolizer recently in room sprays that is also great (although you have to use quite a bit more of it than polysorbate so it’s definitely more expensive). NatraGem if anyone’s interested.
Marie, Institute of Personal Care Science has a video on their channel discussing pH testing, and they instruct NOT to dilute when pH testing, unless the product itself is being diluted/hydrated before use (for example, cleansing powder and dry clay mask.) It's really confusing because I'm getting different messaging and it's concerning because I sell my products, so obviously it's extremely important that I'm getting pH measurement right. Obviously I can't stick my pH meter's entire diode in a finished product, so I bought some (surprisingly, VERY accurate) pH strips and they surprisingly do just fine with viscous and creamy formulations. I only use a tiny amount of product which covers the indicator strips. It's so much LESS hassle so I'd rather just keep doing this but only if it's recommended/a best practice. On another note, thank you for being on 🔥 and giving us amazing formulation after formulation. ❤️ Lastly, how can I go about sending you something? Do you have a PO box? Thank you.
Diluting shouldn't affect the PH of the formula seeing as water is neutral and you need a thinner consistency to get accurate results with the PH tester so I'd say that is misinformation. (Solely from a logical point of view)
Thank you very much for this formula, I absolutely love it, it is exactly as you said silky and soothing. Could you please make more natural products featuring natural preservatives. Lots of love from Manitoba❤

Hi Marie! Looking forward to making this project! I LOOOVE your channel it gives me so much inspo! Can you make a version of Dr. Bronner’s pure castile soap...I see that they're concentrated and the ingredients are not much, I would love to see your version. I like the concentrated idea because you don't need much of it in the shower.
Thank you so much! As for Dr. Bronners; it's really not anything all that special. They do a good job with their marketing, but it's really just soap. A bar of any of the soaps on my channel/blog would be more concentrated simply because bars are always more concentrated than liquids :) I also recommend reading this (www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/no-longer-recommend-baking-soda-high-ph-cleansers/), keeping in mind that soap is always a high pH cleanser. Happy making!

I'd shared several formulations using niacinamide (Vitamin B3); please look it up in the Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/) to find a list!
That doesn't sound right; I would try purchasing iron oxide from a reputable supplier. I don't think what you were sold is real/pure. Here's a long list of places to shop around the world. www.humblebeeandme.com/resources/. Happy making!

You can get those big syringes from the feed store as well. They use them to inject the animals with supplements like B12.
Hi Marie, I am wondering why did you put colloidal oatmeal in your oily phase, in your older recipes you putted It in the water phase

Thank you for sharing Marie, I've been looking for a diy lotion and shampoo/body wash for my baby. Would this be okay to use on toddlers?
