A watch dealer here in Bay Area California who I had a great conversation about RM watches recently said to stay away as it’s going to take a significant hit as there’s no real buyers out there. He said that he can get a new RM real close to sticker price as he’s been offered new watches along with some limited edition models that are setting in their vaults. Unbelievable but true.
I’ve said on major watch channel comments “the watch market is dead” they actually responded to what I’ve actually said LOL this man Juan and Keno has truly shaken up the watch industry with the slogan “the watch market is dead” 😂😂😂😂

Something tells me that the few who can buy six figure+ watches are not hurting because their RM’s decreased in value. They were probably bought as a man’s toy, like having a Porsche as a third car.
The time to buy RM was the first few years when they started the company around 2000. You could buy a new one in gold or titanium for under $30,000 after large discounts like 25%. Those smart & lucky people are sitting on 5x increases even in this market.
It’s over for Richard and all the muppets that bought them. Some people got more money than sense. Won’t be able to give them away. Richard won’t be the 1st or the last to go bust going to be a few.😢😢😢😢🤣🤣
And they keep raising prices by 15% every year. 7201 retail is now $240K and the ceramics are $350K. There is no line to get these as flippers will lose money.
I bought a pre-owned RM004 split seconds a little less than 100K back in 2011, enjoyed many years until I saw their 1.5mil price tag watch and heard the dealer price from very credible source in the industry. I sold it without any hesitation and purchased the 5370P instead when it came out. I was also a little tired of their marketing and endless editions anyway. They are crashing by themselves. After seeing the rising and falling stars in the past few decades, I am almost convinced that they will lose 60-70% value few years later except for a few early pieces
I think the retail is higher than $188k. It was $188k in 2021. I may be mistaken but i believe the retail is in the high 200k range, making this a below retail RM. A lot of RMs now are below retail now because they've raised the MSRP so much in the past few years.
RM watches will be virtually unserviceable in the near future . We are still aways from all RM resales below Retail $ Unsustainable , unstable and unbelievable downside of ownership .
